I have four channels on one email address - Two have the Clips function but my main channel & another do not have the Clips function even though I've ticked the box to allow Clips in the settings

Yay for the community posts news. I use it a lot, especially since I often need breaks from creating videos and I use the Community Tab as a way to share news, add polls, write interactive stories, ask viewers which video they want me to edit next, etc. I've begun using it a lot more in the last 6 months than ever before and it has increased my views and subscribers despite me sometimes putting out only one video per week or even going a few weeks with no videos.

I've always been able to see and interact with community posts and I've used a tablet for over a year
I believe they are talking about the UA-cam app specifically. I know on tablets you could access full UA-cam in the browser rather than the mobile version.

I would not post a just released video - UA-cam are already promoting that organically. Use the Community tab to interact with your community. Cultivate discussions, run quizzes and polls, and occasionally suggest older relevant content on your channel or other channels and collaborations.

They should keep those keyword links in the comments disabled until the person watched at least half of the video, so you wouldn't lose so much and it would encourage people to watch more. Maybe even don't make them clickable unless they watched more than your current average viewing time

The new analytic feature for live streams sounds awesome! Im STILL waiting for my channel to update to the 500 requirement instead of 1000. Ugh lol, all of my friends accounts have updated just not mine, all US based. grrrr

Good point! I just uploaded a video on the fourth game in a remake series, and UA-cam hashtagged the #4R which takes viewers to a bunch of videos about 4 room houses (or apartments) and 4Runners!
I'd remove that hashtag if its not directing to relevant content. Hashtags will auto-hyperlink to that word as a search term.

My channel is an education channel ( not this one I’m writing to you from ) and I am under 1000 subs ( 377 ) , I noticed that I have adds before and during my videos , I understand that somehow UA-cam can add the adds to my videos and that’s part of the “ contract “ , but I would like not to have the adds in the middle of the videos so they don’t break the flow of it , if you k ow what I mean . What can I do about it ?

The way to fix that is to get your 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of public watch time and get into the UA-cam Partner Program where you will have the ability to control how ads appear on your content.

as a #shorts maker only (I’m not so good at long videos) I’ve noticed a new setting where folks can use my video or sound content and it can’t be turned off, any views ?
Shorts have never had the ability to opt-out of Remixing. By publishing a Short, you agree to have your Short "remixed" by others on the platform using the official remixing tools. You CAN opt out on long form content though.
By the way i just watched a video about the new ftc rules and i am confused. Could you either tell me or do a video on it? I am in the kpop community and have a channel. I have an affiliate to kpop store. I have already had ftc disclosure that if you use that link i can get a small commission or free product from it. Do i need to change anything? Its the only link i have
You just need to put the disclaimer. If you were sponsored or telling people to go to the description to get the product as an affiliate you would also need to disclose verbally in future videos.
I noticed that my Tube Buddy App is saying to put tags in my description, and Title, but when I do, It Doesn’t Seem To Be Right. Its not being checked off in Tube Buddy.
Keep in mind that when adding keywords/phrases into your description they must be worked into actual fully formed sentences, not a collection of word salad/wall of words.

@NickNimmin I have a question regarding Adsense. My brother has a channel but no Adsense, but every time he tries to create one, it tells him he already has one, but he doesn't. He can't seem to contact anyone about it and I was wondering if you had some insight on the matter as you work closely with UA-cam stuff. Thanks!
Because AdSense uses a Gmail/Google account like UA-cam, try logging in with his Google account. If one has been previously set-up, you should get access to it so that it can be linked to the UA-cam account.

Nick, question. I keep smacking up against a ceiling. Which is the 1 minute mark on all my long form videos. All in all i have 2 years in on my channel and over 200 videos. My shorts do very well. My long forms smack the 1 minute mark and people ditch. And it doesn’t matter what I do. I’ve made so many changes. And continue changing. I haven’t stopped. It just seems like i cannot get a viewer over that 1 minute mark on any video i make. Meaning I never get watch hours. I’ve been finding ways to earn the click. And I’ve been able to drive the traffic but UA-cam follows the viewer and when it sees for example a viewer watches 1 minute out of 10 it doesn’t put an momentum or velocity behind that video. Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? I’ve been trying to look at your older videos but I’m doing the suggestions in those videos and it’s still not enough to shatter that that 1 minute average. That ceiling keeps holding strong.
Experiment with getting right into the content. On your point of view video that could have started around the :49 second mark and nothing would have been lost.

Hey about 6years ago you added a video on how to make a thumbnail on the phone but you were on Samsung I think so I couldn’t download the same app since I was on iPhone so could you tell me what app to use on iPhone that can help or make video about it cuz I wouldn’t find the same app

Is there something going on with shorts? In the past two weeks I'm getting 2 views in hours when I used to at least get a few hundred in just a few minutes. It's like they are not getting picked up at all. Is anyone saying anything about this? I can't be the only one. I'm not whining. I seriously think something is broken.

A couple of issues. First, you’re impersonating Mr. Beast by stealing his channel avatar. That’s against UA-cam’s rules. Second, you’re spamming with your shorts by uploading the same thing multiple times. That’s literally spam.
So yeah, the system probably has marked you as a spammer.

By posting the URL. UA-cam have been presenting playlists in different ways, so we shall see what they launch in the future.

O joy. So, UA-cam will force a link out to a search, on say, my mention of my air fryer, competing with my affiliate link. Just one more way of losing money on this platform.
Right now its just a limited experiment and the things to keep in mind (according to Creator Insider) are:
1) any hyperlinked word or phrase will open a UA-cam search - but you won't be directed away from the video being played. (I know I had concerns about that in my video - we won't know how well that could be implemented on different devices, for example)
2) its for finding more relevant content, not link to product offer searches (only other content about that product). This could be a net positive for search-based content creators as it might actually bring traffic to our content as well. How that might expand in the future (if the experiment has positive results), we won't know.
