    ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on UA-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

I'm always so astonished that a wee lad as young as Jock is so engaged with what's going on around him. Most children that age operate in their own bubble of imagination. But Jock, from an even younger age, wanted to: shoot his own video, drive the vehicles, hold the lambs and pretty much everything he sees his parents doing. Somehow, I have no problem seeing Cammy behave the same way when his dad was the shepherd.

Newfoundland weather… looking at you guys today and my old bones are aching. Cool and rainy. Good job Cammy, you do know the Sheep Game. Sometimes you’re the windshield sometimes you’re the bug. Wonder how Sandi is doing today as she had a few with Preg Tox and was inducing. Everyone needs to remember it’s not all sunshine, rainbows, unicorns or lollipops. Isn't it possible that the lamb was still deep in the birthing channel which makes it impossible to feel? Loved Jock's little top knot. Sorry had to laugh at Spotty getting roughed up by the lamb. We have sheep and goats and though the fun and love is endless, the sadness is there too. We had twins from a weak mother, and we call them the stick twins--hehtahb in arabic. Amazingly, one of the childless goats adopted them herself ! But it is rare for triplets to survive and will involve a lot of hand feeding. Best of luck. I can't always understand your accent but love the videos anyway.

I personally LOVE the idea of using the poor stillborn lambs hide to help an Orphan have a mother. Yes, it's odd and might be gory to see the skinning, but the results of this process are entirely worth it. People avoiding Lambing because Nature will do as she will is rather sad for those people, I'd say. After all, there are more wonderful ends to the dramas and stories than not, Cammy!
Namaste and much love to Jock, Angus, Lizzie, Cmmy and Marissa! I am excited now that Lambing has started! I hope this season is good and the tragic losses are simply getting the and times over with so the rest of the season is excellent and happy for the ewes, lambs and the farmers.

On my android, at the top of the video (that I paused) there is the gear ⚙️, select it, additional settings, and scroll down to send feedback (which I have saved on a notes app) and it even sends a screenshot of the video which you can highlight or crop 😄. PRAYING for you to be monetized once again as these videos are absolutely priceless! The love Cammy has for his herd, his friends, and his family is an absolute wonder to see. Oh the trials and tribulations of sheep and lambing season. My vet told me decades ago that sheep are either healthy or dead. They rarely survived for me if they got sick. But I love sheep so much. And it breaks your heart when they lose all of their babies. And the people who watch your page and get upset at death, unfortunately that is what dealing with sheep is. But I wish you good luck. It would be so nice if I could understand what you are saying, but I gather the gist of what is going on with the 1 out of every 10 words you say. I live in Washington State in the US and no longer have any sheep and miss them every day. Take care.

Watching you pull those triplets, it took me back to my lambing days, and my arm started to ache. People don't realize that it is not very easy to pull a lamb. The ewe is pushing, which puts a lot of pressure on the shepherd's arm. I loved how you took things slowly when helping that ewe. When pulling lambs, you are there to help but also must work with the ewe and mother nature, otherwise you can make a problem worse.
So sorry you had such a rough start to lambing. Hopefully things will get better. You are very good at catching lambs out in the field. Very impressive.

We live in a death denying society in the West and it ultimately doesn't serve us well. Happy to see the full spectrum of life on the screen. 68% on a day like that, goes to show your fortitude and supports you have around you.

Well done Cammy I know how difficult that lambing was. Even vets get it wrong. Just glad you didn’t have a blown up rotten lamb that falls apart when you try to get it out.
