I have Main Stream in my system and I can second everything you just said. What is more, is what you said about building a system. Every little thing that one does will ad up. This is what is missing to so many people.
Awesome video Jeff! I just recently learned one of the big issues with HiFi is dealing with noise. I've never had serious issues myself. Being professionally trained in RF means I've always looked for RFI and EMI interference issues and found easy ways to deal with them. (The right bypass capacitor in the right place can be magical) This power line filter looks like a great solution for folks who aren't technically inclined that want a simple solution. As you suggest, the closer to the gear the most it's likely to shunt RFI noise to ground. IMHO, a good ground for your home's electrical system is also important.
I recently purchased a Snubway that REALLY improved the music in my system (shockingly so!), so I added one to my video system (Samsung TV, Swan Diva IIs, Sabaj A20), that replaced my 20 yo PS Audio GCC 250 that died. The audio is much improved but don't really notice much from the TV
I'm not sure about that. Is it a mechanical hum (you hear it coming from the amp when there is no sound, or low level hum through the speakers when the volume is all the way down? You might need something like an isolation transformer for this, or you may have a defective power transformer in your amplifier - or even a ground problem in your outlet. I don't think a MainStream or SnubWay is going to solve this problem. You could try to float the ground with a cheater plug temporarily to see if that fixes it, though long term you should find an isolation device if that fixes it! let me know what worked....
This was your best video yet; sooth editing, quick and concise. Great job!
thanks man!

Thanks Paul, and TOTALLY agree with you on the ground thing. Did that in my studio with tremendous results.
Thanks for a great video! Maybe I need one here in Norway!
Thank you! Of course you do!

Great video! My integrated amplifier has a slight hum due to its power supply. Would a snubway or mainstream help with this kind of noise?

@ yes, that makes sense… It’s not a problem that the power conditioner would fix. Many thanks!
@@ClassMPlanet-Yo give the ground float a try first before you spend more money.

Because?
