It only happened to the certain minorities in northern part of Laos.that boy(s) forced or kidnapped the girl(s) to marry him. Or poor parents gave up the daughter(s) for money. There is no law in Laos that a boy can force a girl or kidnap her to marry him . There is no law in Laos that allow man to marry 2 or more women-only women agreed to stay with man. The boy that forces or kidnap the girl to marry him-if she reported that to the police or government agency in Laos he can go to jail for a long time. I hope to make it cleared to those who did not know about a boy forced a girl to marry him or to stay with him.-it could be a rare situation, but it was illegal.
