- Broke a wild horse in Montana last year like a cowboy. Horse was never rode for 10 years until then! #cowboy #horse #horsetraining #broncriding #dalebrisby
Ever heard of ground work? I bet you don't warm up the oven before put in the turkey either.
Need to hire a horseman. You can't get bucked off of a horse that's not bucking.
This is TERRIBLE! NO excuse to terrify that poor horse by brute force. At our stable we gradually get the horse used to someone leaning weight on his saddle from a tall mounting block ... then a few days of that, sit briefly on the horse for a few seconds, then a week or so of that, then being led two steps under saddle and rider, for a week or so, then gradually progress to walking around the ring. We do NOT terrorize the poor horse by brute force like an old cowboy movie.
But to be fair it sounds more like you're scared of horses they're not scared of horses but just not good at it probably a lot better with some cows.
@@leannholbert16 I have shown hunter/jumpers - NOT afraid of most horses except a few who have dumped me on jumping courses. LOL. Silly you.
@@leannholbert16 NOT scared of horses - just KIND and GENTLE with how we teach them to carry a rider. NOT by BRUTE FORCE.
@@leannholbert16 It is NOT being scared of horses to be slow and gentle in their training. Look at the OTHER comments here - others agree with me!
Just for the record this is not debatable if they would have done groundwork and lunging saddling an unsaddling standing and bending and flexing 48 hours they would have been riding it would not have needed to Pony but that wouldn't have been a reason to make this video to piss you off now would it. I'm not trying to be rude or condescending
Simply stated, it’s completely unprofessional. To the point of being asinine.
Awful! I’m not impressed at all.
I’m going to assume you’ve done zero to very little ground work and you definitely haven’t earned this horses trust.
Now he has no idea that when you mount, he’s supposed to stand still until you tell him to move.
You’ve already started giving him bad habits; that’s how people and horses get hurt.
Like someone else said, hire a professional to teach your horse and train you.
You are giving this person great advice - I hope they learn from it.
@@cathynewyork7918 I hope so 🙏

Ummm round pen?
Need to grab yet reins a bit shorter and have some semblance of lateral control.
I don't understand why you aren't choosing to wear a helmet, if going to play these games. Glad you didn't get your head tossed into a fence panel or beam in the barn. Crack / crunch, then you wake up in the hospital after being in a coma for a month.
They should wear a helmet AND NOT play this game of terrorizing the poor horse instead of "gentle training" it.
Might be your first time on that horse but definitely not the first time for the horse. You stuck em out, good ride! 👍
U trying to get a bucking horse to ride? If that’s how you are training it, just make it a bronc horse for rodeos
You’re flooding this poor horse. You don’t deserve to be around animals if you think you’re teaching this horse anything. All you’re doing is tiring her out until she can’t fight back and giving her a horrible first impression.
