I never knew this man or what he stood for, but I do know he must've helped a lot within his community, and made a lot of people happy. Even though I'm 5 years late, R.I.P Ty Halderman.
6 years late ,and seconds that as i find the community with its mods like brutal doom ,brutality and mega wad maps glorious despite not able to play em anyone that single handedly held the fort for a community to know the archives be safe for that many years and inspiring this kind of tribute must done something right.
Ty is my grandfather. We never got a chance to meet. If anyone, especially family, knew him.. I’d love to hear what you have to say about him. I’ve been told I look much like him, but I’ve never seen a photograph. Years ago I found his email address. Wish I had reached out to him. I was really young then and didn’t know what to say.
I feel the same way about my dad, who died when I was 7. I hope you find someone to tell you amazing stories about him. It's normally a really good time and really helps to fill in the gaps.
(RIP Halderman, I can't think of a better quote to post here than this.) _"The final gunshot was an exclamation mark on everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger, and it was over."_
I think I had an argument with him once after I unfairly trashed Project Icarus or something like that. Such a shame to hear of his loss, he was one of the cornerstones of the Doom community and I regret criticising his work, especially as it wasn't warranted.
Undoubtly the best track ever made for a DOOM mod. So, this was the best pick to pay a tribute to a guy who had a great influence on the DOOM modding community. Thanks for this beautiful contribution, once again, Eris.
One of my favorite tnt osts. The song they use in mill is amazing as well. Tnt got some good songs. Nice remix. Well made. Love the Dutch picture at 1:39.
Hey man, so I found your channel through Led's Goblin Invasion remix for the TCF contest aaaand it turns out you're a Doomer. I used to post on Doomworld all the time as "The Lag." As soon as I saw your comment on his video I was like, "man, I know that name from somewhere..." Anyway, small world I guess. Really nice tune by the way...takes me back. I never did finish my megawad, haha.
Poor TY. As someone who never knew him, if only he could have seen the absolute flurry of activity and interest the release of DOOM 4 brought. May he lead the Legion of the Lost to salvation.
I'd like to offer some lyrics to this theme song... We're looking for it everywhere, but... We can't find it anywhere, but... The legion lived and fought hard and, their souls, their love for battle lives on. Lost but never forgotten by any. Does anyone else have other ideas?
@@SkydreamPony It's still not done yet. I'm currently working on 3 more pieces of music for that thing which may take a while bc I'm still a novice at composing
Andrej Antanasov Yes, it's absolutely true. His real name was Charles Reed Halderman. My initials are C.R. Ty actually told about the choice he made in a post on a website. I was shocked that he did. Imagine how I felt. That is how I found out. I read it. Because he left, I was put up for adoption and then moved from home to home. You wouldn't believe things that happened in those homes to little girls. Then I was adopted and it was misery. By the time me and my parents finally worked things out in my adult age, they died. I finally met my birth mother and she died a year later of cancer. Ty also died of cancer. So that's scary for me. It has been hell but I do understand your side also. I have admired someone and later found out what type of person they really were. It just happened to me 2 years ago. It does hurt but morals matter more to me. I'll remove my posts and let the gaming and internet world (minus that website) believe that Ty was a stand up guy. Take care.
Andrej Antanasov Thank you. You too! I appreciate it. I'm prepared. My adoptive parents passed from cancer also. Odd huh? You have experienced alot there. I do wish you the best.

You're always late.
@@dustmasterflex1541 At least he cared.

RIP Ty Halderman. The Doom community has lost yet another icon...
The Ugly Barnacle but warriors of doom will still go on
He won't be forgotten by those (us) who appreciate his work :(
There's a permanent gap in the community where Ty used to be. Thanks for making this Eris, great take on one of my favorite Doom tracks.

Ok ngl, it STILL gets me a bit tear driven listening to this to this very day 😭

Keep coming back to this one, thanks Eris
RIP ty you will be missed. Evilution is my favorite unofficial doom game. Amazing levels and ost. Awesome work
Thanks for making this magnificent masterpiece for the community project. Rest in peace, Ty.

Will Miss your great work....... Time to play some TNT
RIP… and tear🖤💪🏻
I feel like the next Doom game after Eternal should use music like this
How about "Doom Tribute" or something? Or does that sound more like a mod?
@@LazyJesse A bit more like a mod or even a spinoff for my taste
I’d like to see different dimension with No Hope and something like that
Today’s Doomguy is unstoppablemachine
@@LazyJesse Interesting cause there is a mod called Doom Tribute for classic doom
I am crying of just listening the original music, and you made it even better. Really, a worthy lament.
This is such a stunningly beautiful piece of music you made, its really good
DooM Has lost another legend R.I.P, Ty.

+FuryForged Hi! I'm sure I've seen "The Lag" elsewhere. Did you used to play on ZDaemon at some point?
I did. I used to be very active in the Doom community until I jumped ship for Terraria, lol.
What a beautiful tribute!
great music. feel sadness and greatness
Most excellent, indeed.
Thanks valk!
The melody reminds me of the music in Might and Magic 4+5. Great job!
Шедевр!
standing on space ship see earth slowly swallowed by black hole and this music in bg so dramatic
RIP Ty Halderman
Ty Halderman! Oh my. I'm so sorry guys. 😪
R.I.P to him.
RIP Ty Halderman!
How can someone dislike this?
Probably one of the minions of Terry did it

This music is so awosm depressed and deep😳😭😭😭 this muic sound like requiem for end of the world
This is probably one of the best songs in a Doom mod. Very suspenseful cover. Is it okay if I use this for a soundtrack WAD I'm creating?
Melhor Música de Doom !
Muito Drama na Fase Pharaoh !
:D
eu ficava com mt medo nessa fase kkkk
Not the best pick, but one of the best picks. I think the community is working on a map set that's dedicated to the memory of Ty.
guys this is just cover of a german speed metal band Grave Digger song. check it yourself Grave Digger - Legion of the lost (either part 1 or 2)
I'd like to offer some lyrics to this theme song...

Perhaps it is not a song meant to have lyrics. It is meant to take a step back and bask in peace and one's own internal thoughts and processes.
please can someone tell what chord progression is in the arpeggio?
Idk why but this rendition of Legion of the lost always reminded me of Gyongyhaju Lany(Girl with pearl hair) by Omega
May I use this for my wad WIP for an Easter Egg please? It's not only an Easter Egg, but it's also a tribute to this dude
Dead channel so, using. Still gonna add you to the credits in the wad btw
@@YukiSenmatsu Got a link to that wad?
