The biggest issue is lore accuracy. We see doom appear as this giant threat to the island. And his feats of killing Galactus, Fantastic 4, Thanos, and thor. You mean to tell me this version doom with the power of pandoras box gets folded like that.

The way galactus was send back was significantly more cinematic and had zero point powered shit yada yada like that worked over "I just stand there, lose to bullets lmao" and then can't defend himself what so ever against a bit oversized rift. That's kinda of a current problem storyline nowadays. The writers will make a villain so overpowered that it's impossible for the heroes to beat, but then overpowered villains get defeated through the most ridiculous way ever by heroes.
The only thing I didn’t like about the event was that doom didn’t feel like a threat. He barely moved around, his big energy bomb thing only did 45 damage (which can’t even break overshield in zero builds), and his giant stomp attack didn’t do ANY damage (from my experience). Other than that I really like the idea and hope they do something like it again in the future, in a separate game mode of course.
That‘s because it still was in Battle Royale, and you went into battle Royale, so it still should be able to play battle Royale. If everyone gets knocked out from doom it doesn‘t work anymore (which shouldn’t be because it happens in battle Royale lol) At least they made that weapons only did 1 damage to other players in this area
In regards to doom default dancing, apperntly when the path of the NPC's gets corrupted or have an issue they default dance so they can let the game know that there is a problem and it should be fixed, thats what I heard and if its true its kinda smart and funny at the same time.
After the cutscene I died to storm immediately... They didn't disable player damage or storm damage. Even if they fixed that it was stupid... Not even fun.
I doubt anyone would see this comment anyways but the thing is, it’s good that people are able to criticise things Epic Games do (not on a personal level obviously, calling developers that are overworked “lazy” is very unnecessary and pointlessly spiteful. But there are many things about season and chapters that can be made better. But with live events, I’ve seen so many people talk about how the live event wasn’t really a live event, but rather a mini live event. Then they go on to complain that it wasn’t as big as they wanted. To me, this seems like a clear case of not just the Fortnite community sometimes being hypocritical, but what the internet has done to people (not trying to be preachy or existential). People want what they want how they want it, and if it doesn’t live up to those expectations or surpass those expectations, it must be bad. There were sure problems with the event, less to do with the event itself. People would have complained either way but what are you going to do about that? My point is, not everything should be praised like the greatest thing ever made, but not everything is a simple as, EVENT BAD. Multiple things go into video game development, and the fans are more of an obstacle that a support system in some fanbases. Criticism is okay, great even, but hypocrisy is hard to notice. The people that were so quick to establish that the event did not count as a “live event”, but were then disappointed by their own overhype (plus Epic Games definitely hyping up the event too much), confuse me. What do they even what anymore, because it seems like nothing is good to them.
I wish we still got events like we did in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Full blown live events, like Robot vs Monster, Operation SkyFire, and The Galactus Event. Tbh I would be happy if they completely stopped working on festival and Rocket racing, just to focus more on actual live events rather than the mini events.
My Honest Opinion, they should’ve saved this event and combined it with the end chapter mini event, cause ain’t no way Doom gets defeated by a bunch of bullets and a energy shield
Doom having this much hp sucked, I was playing with my girlfriend and then we realised he is just a glorified target, we left thinking "it'll probably over like tomorrow because his hp was barely going down" so we hopped back on br like an hour or 2 later to be surprised by him just being gone because he died. We then went on UA-cam to find how his death looked like and it was so awfully anticlimactic. This event was very underwhelming, I wish they made us fight him for a short bit and have us watch more cool ingame animations , kinda like the event with the big robot bear(I think that was called the collision event ) Tldr: epic needs to stop dilly dallying and lock the fuck in

They definitely rigged the health bar, at the peak of the event with 4 million players the health bar was barely moving, 40 minutes later with half the players or less, it moved 10x of what it did before with me shooting it for 10 minutes just from quitting the match and getting into another one.
Even as someone who enjoyed both the live event and the new game modes, I think this video was extremely well argued. Just because *I* had fun with it doesn't mean everyone did, and doesn't mean they couldn't do better. I enjoyed both despite those flaws, but those flaws could've be ironed out to guarantee *everyone* had a good time, not the lucky few who spawned into lobbies without trolls (for the live event) or the niche few with prior experience with Rock Band/Rocket League/Lego games (for the game modes). I hope they listen to community feedback, not just for the players who were let down from the downgrade from past events, but also new players like me who enjoyed the experience, but are absolutely open for improvement past it.

Idk about anyone else but for the server I was on, the event said it was to start at a specific time and when I loaded up AT THAT TIME the event was already at the giant Doom stage. So all I got to play was an hour of shooting big man. Which got boring real quick. And now, watching this, I find out that there wasn't really much more to it anyway. I mean why use a cutscene and not have an IN-GAME situation. Like, you know, a live event.
Also I saw someone saying „Y’all were waiting for community events like in chapter 1 and now you are disappointed”. I think that those small „events” like the duck with million hp or random rock that also had a global hp and everyone could help destroy it were great and fun because they weren’t supposed to be big hyped events but just small goal that casual players could do in their free time. This was hyped by epic, trailers, countdown. We got something what could have been fun for people who likes this kind of stuff but not for the bigger audience waiting for something special and game changing
I wish Chapter 3 didn’t get cut short making Chapter 4 feel rushed. Imagine if Epic actually went all in with the medievil, fantasy theming and making the season actually have a good Battle Pass. Imagine if Epic didn’t have to rush making a new map and the chapter 3 map didn’t have to get cut short after season 2. Vibin’ and Paradise were meant for the last two seasons of Chapter 3 so instead we could have gotten Wilds right after the war season (this could explain why we got the jungle on the map as the collider explosion could have shown the jungle underneath the chapter 3 map, with the zero point in the center), after Wilds we could have gotten Oathbound (this is because Geno would have reformed himself as the shapeless man and traveled across the zero point to find a reality where he was just starting to build the IO, and convince that version of himself to capture the Zero Point. Throughout the season the Seven would try to stop the Shapeless man and The Ageless from capturing the zero point.), after that season we could get Last Resort (this season could revolve around the Zero Point rifting in more buildings from across different realities. The conflict between the Oathbound and The Seven could leadThe Ageless to summon the POI’s from Last Resort, taking over the Seven POIs. [Last Resort was the only season totally original to Chapter 4 so the story could get a little hazy]), after that we could get MEGA (After whatever happens in Last Resort, the Seven manage to get their allies The Peace Syndicate to help protect the Zero Point from the almost reformed IO leader), and finally we would get the last two seasons, Vibin’ and Paradise (the storyline could happen like this, the Zero Point finally blossoms from the safe environment that the Seven and Peace Syndicate have brought to the island, this could lead to the reality falls biome to take over wherever the Peace Syndicate would reside in on the island. Geno, now fully reformed, begins to take an old IO driller left on the map and digs to the chapter 2 island, where he finds the remaining leaders of the Last Reality who then forge a deal with Geno to capture the Zero Point. The Harald begins to observe the island and makes a plan to start taking it over with the Chrome. The Chrome begins to seep onto the Chapter 3 island from its edges at the end of Vibin’. In a single player event, similar to the Zero Crisis Finale, the looper helps the Seven examine the Chrome leading to every member except the Paradigm, Scientist and, Origin to be turned into Chrome. The remaining Seven members begin to start making a last stand to the chrome and the Last Reality. In the ending live event of Paradise, The Seven and Peace Syndicate stand on the Reality Tree and harness the power of the Zero Point to dispel the Chrome while the Cube King [The Origin] begins to try to over power the chrome and send it back to the Chapter 2 map. At the end of the event the island blows up due to the chrome and neither sides are successful aside from Geno who takes control of the Zero Point and forges and island through Zero Fusion that he can control with his new Imagined Order).

a minute before the event I was killed and it took a minute to cue into another game and as soon as I got into the battle bus the cutscene started so I saw nothing before it then dr doom didn’t spawn and there was no promotion for the boss fight so I didn’t even know that was happening so I went off the game. So overall the event for me was a 30 second cutscene which I could have just watched on UA-cam yay

My honest opinion is that, the "story" was put on later plan because of creating multiverse (lego fortnite etc) and creative director change. Now we have at least live events back (mini events), and more is coming (another one for the end of this season, probably another in season OG etc). They (new creative director and team) just need some time to "warm up". Thats my opinion ❤
Thing is, we are getting two FULL LENGTH live events later this year. Think of this as a sort of prelude or teaser for what is happening in a month. We had a drought in late ch3 and ch4, but this chapter, there has been a slow incline with all the super cool mini events before every season, each one getting a bit grander every time. And now there are two huge live events. Yeah, I think we wait and see what those are like, and maybe we will be back.
I agree that there should be a mode where you can’t die/miss an event but the way the events are structured are so they happen during a game. My best solution is to bring back battle lab so you can watch the event in a real game and experience it properly rather than dying Since battle lab doesn’t exist right now I have to use bot lobbies to view the event without dying I don’t agree that this is the best event ever but I think it’s the best this chapter. The only reason I’m not really giving these events so much hate is because the smaller live event team epic has and how little that team can probably do I think Dr doom was made large because of logistics that go into making a live event and one where your shoot at something for a long time it just makes logical sense for doom to be that large. Also leakers have suggested there being an end of chapter event before we go into ch2 og so this isn’t the end of doom From the rift beacons being across the map you can see pumpkins spawning across all of them You can take from this the idea that doom was sent to the Halloween reality If pumpkins are being brought in from the Halloween world what’s stopping the rifts from bringing Dr doom back? Also for the end of the event I think epic should introduce a feature where whenever you load up into a game that you didn’t get to see an event happen at the end I think it should just be garunteed that during the rest of that week you should be able to see the end of that event from like the battle bus or something so it doesn’t cause any problems in the game. I do think going forward as a community to remedy these problems we should all try making bot accounts to make sure we don’t die during an event until they bring back modes that cater to event-watchers
I remember when live events were amazing. My favorite live event was Collision, absolutely amazing event IMO. But yeah, for whatever reason, live events since Collision have been so lacklustre. I've been around since the very first event, and it's honestly sad seeing how live events have fallen off like this.
What happened to all the loose storyline ends? Amy, the seven, the paradigm, the nothing, bytes, the triarchs, Kado Thorne… after mustard left the game kinda went to sh!t
Kado Thorne died, it was shown through quests, seven are in the chrome reality, with Amy too, paradigm had to fuse herself with the zero point to create zero fusion and make the chapter 4 map.
it's called a mini event but honestly why do people consider this to be an actual live event. and also we getting a playlist live event at the end of the season. like honestly i'm glad that we are getting a mini event at all because the employees split up to work on the other gamemodes. i just feel like the remaining live event employees/workers are just trying to do the best they can right now. it's not that their lazy but there just is not enough people to work on it.
You know what wouldve been cool like on the level of the monster vs the mech. If they wouldve had like Ant-Man but as Giant Man and we actually saw the heroes fight together to bring doom down. And we couldve seen an awesome Giant Man vs Doom titan battle 😂
They don't get how important it is to make a specific gamemode for the event. My PC is quite not in his prime we could say and I would need to launch up in a game for a while for it to load properly, I wasn't able to witness any of the cutscenes due to my PC taking too long on loading the game after getting killed while waiting. If there was a gamemode where we couldn't kill each other and where we could load up a bit earlier would have been awesome. I get that it was a "mini event" but still really poor work from epic.
While starting up the “event” I missed the beginning cutscene because I couldnt queue in time. It should have automatically played for EVERYONE while starting up the game/match. Its on brand for Fortnite to mess up live events, 7 YEARS and we cant get a single one without a hitch unfortunately.

I completely agree with you because this entire event was so lackluster. I only had 10 minutes of footage of it because of how bad it was and quite literally this event was so lackluster. I didn’t even want to continue streaming afterwards on my main channel.
One thing that ruins the season is the map. 4 pois near the centre with everything else being on the edge. Castle doom is too big so people hide and wait for someone to kill doom to then just jump on them and you can get next to no mats from that place. Raft is too small with so many people landing there and we don’t talk about the other medallion. Every new place also got added to the edge of the map. I don’t understand the obsession with the edge of the map especially when 99% of the time you have no movement.
The problem is that they hyped it up as a bigger event when it was just another small one. The other events this chapter had little to no advertising and it was mainly just the leakers getting the word out. However, for this one, Epic decided to do a little more to promote it, even though it was essentially the same quality as the previous three. Epic got people’s expectations too high for something that was pretty tame.
@@Littlejack69420 Did yall actually read my comment? Epic advertised the event on their socials and put a teaser for it in the news tab, which they didn’t do for any other event this chapter. The expectation was that it was going to be more in line with the previous events (from what we got with the leaks beforehand), but the fact that Epic took the time to get the word about this event out there made it seem that there was going to be at least a little more to it with this one (stuff that we didn’t see from the leaks).
I played with my good friend and younger sister, my friend got knocked during the cutscene because it was a bit behind for him, and we died trying to revive him from some players. After that we queued up again and in that match we landed, looted up, and fought doom. It was cool I guess, in this match everyone fighting doom were peaceful. We ended up winning and we continued to play until it ended after like 56 minutes, our final thought were it was incredibly underwhelming and disappointing. I’m hoping the rumored end event is better but I’m not expecting much.
I was with you for the rest before hearing that season 3 chapter 2 was the end point of live events (Only for that one season) I mean we got the galactis live event for season 4 chapter 2 but I still understand what you mean by the season, to be honest the season was enjoyable to me because I got to see bits of the map reveal to me like a progressive Christmas calendar gift box, I did play season 2 but to be honest I forgot it due to my age, other then that season 3 chapter 2 was amazing to me and nostalgic, I loved kit and ever since then made him my main.
People saying “but it was a mini event” Doesn’t just make everything better Doom, the major threat, defeated by a rift. People died during the event, lots of people don’t like community type events such as “everyone do this much damage”

I absolutely hated this live event, cuz I couldnt play it. I was on shabath, why did they do it on a Saturday mid day. (im not sure if all live events are on saturday, but if they are it sucks that a lot of ppl cant play becuase of that)
Fortnite concerts arent the same either, they feel lifeless because they are made in creative mode, they only have 4-16 players, and it doesnt seem like there is as much work put into them to make them feel special or significant.
Finally, someone that has the same frustration as I did during this event, I’ve seen another UA-camr basically saying that the event was good, but it’s the fact that the UA-camr (which I’m not going to name) started list why it was a good event and that the Fortnite community needs stop complaining which pissed me off

For example, in chapter 4 there was no events besides small map changes (cracking). Now we have mini events and big event coming on... (my opinion)

I started playing in Chapter 2 Season 5. I never got to participate in a live event until Chapter 5 Season 2 because my parents never let me. (Timing never worked out or because I have poor anger regulation and would rage quit constantly, making me lose my Fortnite privileges). I’ll never get to experience the Donald Mustard era. That makes me really sad. All the events before chapter 4 looked really cool. I wished I was able to play one, just one live event from back then.
Imo it was a cool idea. Having a boss over the span of multiple rounds, but it still felt unremarkable at best. It just appruptly ended this seasons storyline, we got basically no changes to the map instead of his Mask still sitting there and the fight was just boring in general...
I'm not gonna say the event was good, because honestly I also think it was underwhelming, but I feel like it was supposed to be something like Kevin the cube, where doom was supposed to stay for a long period of time over the course of days, but since he went down in an hour, the entire "event" felt disappointing. I literally didn't get to even see doom because he spawned and died while I was working. I feel like if he had a bigger healthbar or didn't even have a healthbar until a few days after the fact, it would have been a lot cooler.
For a mini event its okay, and I dont think we are done with doom yet. Apart from that in a very large radius around doom most attacks barely did 4 damage at all.
My video didn’t even play during the live event and my screen was black for the rest of the game so we died and rejoined the game to fight doom but everyone would try to kill eachother instead of DOOM luckily i saw the video by my brothers screen who i played the event with
I feel like after the unfortunate mass layoffs and employees at Epic Games getting stretched too thin, creating a live event would be a monumental task for them, impossible even. Not to mention, without Donald Mustard's guidance, the story and paths now feels aimless. And to be honest, I'm starting to lose faith in Charlie Wen as a Creative Director.
Tbh, I'm over with live events. Look, I'm glad everyone is enjoying these mini events and everything. It's just that after seeing Donald mustard's review to on the reasons why he retired from Epic games. I lost all faith on future live events. I didn't even get to see the ending of doom going through the rift 😮 I was playiing with a friend in duos and we were having fun, until the last bit when Doom was alomost died, when all of a sudden i received a hugh amount off damage, i asked my friend to come res me, and as she was trying to find me, there was this little shitty troll behind me, they see that i am down and then proceeds to shoot me, when my friend finally gets to me, the troll keeps shooting me so that my friend couldn't get me up, and in the process killing me, (moments later killing my friend dies too) the little shit want to have a kill than giving me the opportunity to see the end of this mini event, i was raging, so thought i had enough time we loaded back up into a new match, but it was to late, doom was gone. The event was good, not great just good, and the ending was spoil from me and my friend, so had to look it up later, to my surpise, the ending was was kinda mid.

In regards to doom default dancing, apperntly when the path of the NPC's gets corrupted or have an issue they default dance so they can let the game know that there is a problem and it should be fixed, thats what I heard and if its true its kinda smart and funny at the same time.
After the cutscene I died to storm immediately... They didn't disable player damage or storm damage. Even if they fixed that it was stupid... Not even fun.

I doubt anyone would see this comment anyways but the thing is, it’s good that people are able to criticise things Epic Games do (not on a personal level obviously, calling developers that are overworked “lazy” is very unnecessary and pointlessly spiteful. But there are many things about season and chapters that can be made better. But with live events, I’ve seen so many people talk about how the live event wasn’t really a live event, but rather a mini live event. Then they go on to complain that it wasn’t as big as they wanted.
To me, this seems like a clear case of not just the Fortnite community sometimes being hypocritical, but what the internet has done to people (not trying to be preachy or existential). People want what they want how they want it, and if it doesn’t live up to those expectations or surpass those expectations, it must be bad. There were sure problems with the event, less to do with the event itself. People would have complained either way but what are you going to do about that?
My point is, not everything should be praised like the greatest thing ever made, but not everything is a simple as, EVENT BAD. Multiple things go into video game development, and the fans are more of an obstacle that a support system in some fanbases. Criticism is okay, great even, but hypocrisy is hard to notice. The people that were so quick to establish that the event did not count as a “live event”, but were then disappointed by their own overhype (plus Epic Games definitely hyping up the event too much), confuse me. What do they even what anymore, because it seems like nothing is good to them.
I wish we still got events like we did in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Full blown live events, like Robot vs Monster, Operation SkyFire, and The Galactus Event. Tbh I would be happy if they completely stopped working on festival and Rocket racing, just to focus more on actual live events rather than the mini events.
It looks like they sacrificed Doom early to solely focus on Fortnitemares.
My Honest Opinion, they should’ve saved this event and combined it with the end chapter mini event, cause ain’t no way Doom gets defeated by a bunch of bullets and a energy shield
Doom having this much hp sucked, I was playing with my girlfriend and then we realised he is just a glorified target, we left thinking "it'll probably over like tomorrow because his hp was barely going down" so we hopped back on br like an hour or 2 later to be surprised by him just being gone because he died. We then went on UA-cam to find how his death looked like and it was so awfully anticlimactic. This event was very underwhelming, I wish they made us fight him for a short bit and have us watch more cool ingame animations , kinda like the event with the big robot bear(I think that was called the collision event )

They definitely rigged the health bar, at the peak of the event with 4 million players the health bar was barely moving, 40 minutes later with half the players or less, it moved 10x of what it did before with me shooting it for 10 minutes just from quitting the match and getting into another one.

Even as someone who enjoyed both the live event and the new game modes, I think this video was extremely well argued. Just because *I* had fun with it doesn't mean everyone did, and doesn't mean they couldn't do better. I enjoyed both despite those flaws, but those flaws could've be ironed out to guarantee *everyone* had a good time, not the lucky few who spawned into lobbies without trolls (for the live event) or the niche few with prior experience with Rock Band/Rocket League/Lego games (for the game modes). I hope they listen to community feedback, not just for the players who were let down from the downgrade from past events, but also new players like me who enjoyed the experience, but are absolutely open for improvement past it.

I died right when the event started. I immediately closed the game.
Idk about anyone else but for the server I was on, the event said it was to start at a specific time and when I loaded up AT THAT TIME the event was already at the giant Doom stage. So all I got to play was an hour of shooting big man. Which got boring real quick.
And now, watching this, I find out that there wasn't really much more to it anyway. I mean why use a cutscene and not have an IN-GAME situation. Like, you know, a live event.
Also I saw someone saying „Y’all were waiting for community events like in chapter 1 and now you are disappointed”. I think that those small „events” like the duck with million hp or random rock that also had a global hp and everyone could help destroy it were great and fun because they weren’t supposed to be big hyped events but just small goal that casual players could do in their free time. This was hyped by epic, trailers, countdown. We got something what could have been fun for people who likes this kind of stuff but not for the bigger audience waiting for something special and game changing
The only reason there is a timer is because people who missed the ones from C5 S1 and S2 were mad so they added a timer.

I wish Chapter 3 didn’t get cut short making Chapter 4 feel rushed. Imagine if Epic actually went all in with the medievil, fantasy theming and making the season actually have a good Battle Pass. Imagine if Epic didn’t have to rush making a new map and the chapter 3 map didn’t have to get cut short after season 2. Vibin’ and Paradise were meant for the last two seasons of Chapter 3 so instead we could have gotten Wilds right after the war season (this could explain why we got the jungle on the map as the collider explosion could have shown the jungle underneath the chapter 3 map, with the zero point in the center), after Wilds we could have gotten Oathbound (this is because Geno would have reformed himself as the shapeless man and traveled across the zero point to find a reality where he was just starting to build the IO, and convince that version of himself to capture the Zero Point. Throughout the season the Seven would try to stop the Shapeless man and The Ageless from capturing the zero point.), after that season we could get Last Resort (this season could revolve around the Zero Point rifting in more buildings from across different realities. The conflict between the Oathbound and The Seven could leadThe Ageless to summon the POI’s from Last Resort, taking over the Seven POIs. [Last Resort was the only season totally original to Chapter 4 so the story could get a little hazy]), after that we could get MEGA (After whatever happens in Last Resort, the Seven manage to get their allies The Peace Syndicate to help protect the Zero Point from the almost reformed IO leader), and finally we would get the last two seasons, Vibin’ and Paradise (the storyline could happen like this, the Zero Point finally blossoms from the safe environment that the Seven and Peace Syndicate have brought to the island, this could lead to the reality falls biome to take over wherever the Peace Syndicate would reside in on the island. Geno, now fully reformed, begins to take an old IO driller left on the map and digs to the chapter 2 island, where he finds the remaining leaders of the Last Reality who then forge a deal with Geno to capture the Zero Point. The Harald begins to observe the island and makes a plan to start taking it over with the Chrome. The Chrome begins to seep onto the Chapter 3 island from its edges at the end of Vibin’. In a single player event, similar to the Zero Crisis Finale, the looper helps the Seven examine the Chrome leading to every member except the Paradigm, Scientist and, Origin to be turned into Chrome. The remaining Seven members begin to start making a last stand to the chrome and the Last Reality. In the ending live event of Paradise, The Seven and Peace Syndicate stand on the Reality Tree and harness the power of the Zero Point to dispel the Chrome while the Cube King [The Origin] begins to try to over power the chrome and send it back to the Chapter 2 map. At the end of the event the island blows up due to the chrome and neither sides are successful aside from Geno who takes control of the Zero Point and forges and island through Zero Fusion that he can control with his new Imagined Order).

a minute before the event I was killed and it took a minute to cue into another game and as soon as I got into the battle bus the cutscene started so I saw nothing before it then dr doom didn’t spawn and there was no promotion for the boss fight so I didn’t even know that was happening so I went off the game. So overall the event for me was a 30 second cutscene which I could have just watched on UA-cam yay

My honest opinion is that, the "story" was put on later plan because of creating multiverse (lego fortnite etc) and creative director change. Now we have at least live events back (mini events), and more is coming (another one for the end of this season, probably another in season OG etc). They (new creative director and team) just need some time to "warm up".

Thing is, we are getting two FULL LENGTH live events later this year. Think of this as a sort of prelude or teaser for what is happening in a month. We had a drought in late ch3 and ch4, but this chapter, there has been a slow incline with all the super cool mini events before every season, each one getting a bit grander every time. And now there are two huge live events. Yeah, I think we wait and see what those are like, and maybe we will be back.

My best solution is to bring back battle lab so you can watch the event in a real game and experience it properly rather than dying

The only reason I’m not really giving these events so much hate is because the smaller live event team epic has and how little that team can probably do
I think Dr doom was made large because of logistics that go into making a live event and one where your shoot at something for a long time it just makes logical sense for doom to be that large.
Also leakers have suggested there being an end of chapter event before we go into ch2 og so this isn’t the end of doom
From the rift beacons being across the map you can see pumpkins spawning across all of them
You can take from this the idea that doom was sent to the Halloween reality
If pumpkins are being brought in from the Halloween world what’s stopping the rifts from bringing Dr doom back?
Also for the end of the event I think epic should introduce a feature where whenever you load up into a game that you didn’t get to see an event happen at the end I think it should just be garunteed that during the rest of that week you should be able to see the end of that event from like the battle bus or something so it doesn’t cause any problems in the game.
I do think going forward as a community to remedy these problems we should all try making bot accounts to make sure we don’t die during an event until they bring back modes that cater to event-watchers
I remember when live events were amazing. My favorite live event was Collision, absolutely amazing event IMO. But yeah, for whatever reason, live events since Collision have been so lacklustre. I've been around since the very first event, and it's honestly sad seeing how live events have fallen off like this.

Kado Thorne died, it was shown through quests, seven are in the chrome reality, with Amy too, paradigm had to fuse herself with the zero point to create zero fusion and make the chapter 4 map.

it's called a mini event but honestly why do people consider this to be an actual live event. and also we getting a playlist live event at the end of the season. like honestly i'm glad that we are getting a mini event at all because the employees split up to work on the other gamemodes. i just feel like the remaining live event employees/workers are just trying to do the best they can right now. it's not that their lazy but there just is not enough people to work on it.
You know what wouldve been cool like on the level of the monster vs the mech. If they wouldve had like Ant-Man but as Giant Man and we actually saw the heroes fight together to bring doom down. And we couldve seen an awesome Giant Man vs Doom titan battle 😂

My PC is quite not in his prime we could say and I would need to launch up in a game for a while for it to load properly,
I wasn't able to witness any of the cutscenes due to my PC taking too long on loading the game after getting killed while waiting.
If there was a gamemode where we couldn't kill each other and where we could load up a bit earlier would have been awesome.

Well I remember the rocket event had just started and someone killed me so I kinda missed out, so yeah skill issue
While starting up the “event” I missed the beginning cutscene because I couldnt queue in time. It should have automatically played for EVERYONE while starting up the game/match. Its on brand for Fortnite to mess up live events, 7 YEARS and we cant get a single one without a hitch unfortunately.
I hope we go back to how it was in Chapter 4 with ZERO EVENTS in SIGHT for all of you to suddenly start missing these small events.. 😂

I completely agree with you because this entire event was so lackluster. I only had 10 minutes of footage of it because of how bad it was and quite literally this event was so lackluster. I didn’t even want to continue streaming afterwards on my main channel.
One thing that ruins the season is the map. 4 pois near the centre with everything else being on the edge. Castle doom is too big so people hide and wait for someone to kill doom to then just jump on them and you can get next to no mats from that place. Raft is too small with so many people landing there and we don’t talk about the other medallion. Every new place also got added to the edge of the map. I don’t understand the obsession with the edge of the map especially when 99% of the time you have no movement.
The problem is that they hyped it up as a bigger event when it was just another small one. The other events this chapter had little to no advertising and it was mainly just the leakers getting the word out. However, for this one, Epic decided to do a little more to promote it, even though it was essentially the same quality as the previous three. Epic got people’s expectations too high for something that was pretty tame.

The expectation was that it was going to be more in line with the previous events (from what we got with the leaks beforehand), but the fact that Epic took the time to get the word about this event out there made it seem that there was going to be at least a little more to it with this one (stuff that we didn’t see from the leaks).

I played with my good friend and younger sister, my friend got knocked during the cutscene because it was a bit behind for him, and we died trying to revive him from some players. After that we queued up again and in that match we landed, looted up, and fought doom. It was cool I guess, in this match everyone fighting doom were peaceful. We ended up winning and we continued to play until it ended after like 56 minutes, our final thought were it was incredibly underwhelming and disappointing. I’m hoping the rumored end event is better but I’m not expecting much.

I was with you for the rest before hearing that season 3 chapter 2 was the end point of live events (Only for that one season) I mean we got the galactis live event for season 4 chapter 2 but I still understand what you mean by the season, to be honest the season was enjoyable to me because I got to see bits of the map reveal to me like a progressive Christmas calendar gift box, I did play season 2 but to be honest I forgot it due to my age, other then that season 3 chapter 2 was amazing to me and nostalgic, I loved kit and ever since then made him my main.

I absolutely hated this live event, cuz I couldnt play it. I was on shabath, why did they do it on a Saturday mid day. (im not sure if all live events are on saturday, but if they are it sucks that a lot of ppl cant play becuase of that)

Fortnite concerts arent the same either, they feel lifeless because they are made in creative mode, they only have 4-16 players, and it doesnt seem like there is as much work put into them to make them feel special or significant.
Finally, someone that has the same frustration as I did during this event, I’ve seen another UA-camr basically saying that the event was good, but it’s the fact that the UA-camr (which I’m not going to name) started list why it was a good event and that the Fortnite community needs stop complaining which pissed me off

For these kinds of events you can just make a custom game, that way you don’t have to deal with enemy players.

@@Bennjipiebro... creative director changed and they need time to warm up. Also there was rush on other modes... As you can see, there is more coming on. For example, in chapter 4 there was no events besides small map changes (cracking). Now we have mini events and big event coming on...

This was a mini event i dont know what people expected i am honestly baffled that people like pushing the goal post everytime epic does something good.
I started playing in Chapter 2 Season 5. I never got to participate in a live event until Chapter 5 Season 2 because my parents never let me. (Timing never worked out or because I have poor anger regulation and would rage quit constantly, making me lose my Fortnite privileges).
I’ll never get to experience the Donald Mustard era. That makes me really sad. All the events before chapter 4 looked really cool. I wished I was able to play one, just one live event from back then.

Imo it was a cool idea. Having a boss over the span of multiple rounds, but it still felt unremarkable at best. It just appruptly ended this seasons storyline, we got basically no changes to the map instead of his Mask still sitting there and the fight was just boring in general...

I'm not gonna say the event was good, because honestly I also think it was underwhelming, but I feel like it was supposed to be something like Kevin the cube, where doom was supposed to stay for a long period of time over the course of days, but since he went down in an hour, the entire "event" felt disappointing. I literally didn't get to even see doom because he spawned and died while I was working. I feel like if he had a bigger healthbar or didn't even have a healthbar until a few days after the fact, it would have been a lot cooler.

The events are mandated which means that they release whether or not Epic employees actually have good ideas/passion for said ideas.

For a mini event its okay, and I dont think we are done with doom yet. Apart from that in a very large radius around doom most attacks barely did 4 damage at all.
My video didn’t even play during the live event and my screen was black for the rest of the game so we died and rejoined the game to fight doom but everyone would try to kill eachother instead of DOOM luckily i saw the video by my brothers screen who i played the event with
I feel like after the unfortunate mass layoffs and employees at Epic Games getting stretched too thin, creating a live event would be a monumental task for them, impossible even. Not to mention, without Donald Mustard's guidance, the story and paths now feels aimless. And to be honest, I'm starting to lose faith in Charlie Wen as a Creative Director.

I was playiing with a friend in duos and we were having fun, until the last bit when Doom was alomost died, when all of a sudden i received a hugh amount off damage, i asked my friend to come res me, and as she was trying to find me, there was this little shitty troll behind me, they see that i am down and then proceeds to shoot me, when my friend finally gets to me, the troll keeps shooting me so that my friend couldn't get me up, and in the process killing me, (moments later killing my friend dies too) the little shit want to have a kill than giving me the opportunity to see the end of this mini event, i was raging, so thought i had enough time we loaded back up into a new match, but it was to late, doom was gone.
The event was good, not great just good, and the ending was spoil from me and my friend, so had to look it up later, to my surpise, the ending was was kinda mid.
Thank you all big UA-camrs we’re all about this I thought it was even less than mid to be honest.
I hate when people get so piss off about this event despite that it's a fucking mini event/ community event and we are supposed to get an actual live event at the end of the season
I also find out very strange that not everyone believe that love events were the magic. Like I don’t believe it. You mean to tell me that everyone at epic games agree that the live events aren’t the magic. Like nah bro, I don’t buy it. There has to be one or more person at epic game that doesn’t want with the metaverse but cannot fight it because of higher ups decisions. I mean, who knows. Maybe there was one higher ups that didn’t want the metaverse either.
