Just look at that goal. Arguably the best goal by a German player since the WC started in 1930. Baggio's goal , definitely the best goal Italy scored. Both Germany and Italy should have got gold in the 90s.

Among my top 5 Germany 's matches of all time. 1) england - germany euro 72 . 2) germany -brazil wm 2014 . 3) germany - Yugoslavia wm 1990. 4) Germany - sweden euro 92 . 5) Germany - Netherlands euro 80
This was better than even Germany Brazil. Germany had a 7-0 lead for a long time. Germany missed at least one open chance to make it 8-0. Because of missing that easy chance I find it difficult to say it was as good as 1990.
Most impressive for me.. Is that Matthaus had a sublime opponent in Stojkovic to contend with and went toe to toe with that player.. Others would back off.. Stojkovic could make mugs out of the best of them.. Matthaus.. He stood up. Respect. Stevie Gerrard was a very similar personality I'd say.
