You definitely got a good deal on that room; prices aren’t usually that low til January. Chelsea is a great part of the city to stay in because nearly every subway line goes through it. And alas, the breakfast-elevator chaos is pretty standard in all of the tall and narrow hotels in NYC!
This is exceptional value. I’ve paid more in the 90s for same size w/ view of brick building inches away. NYC hotel pricing varies on time and area. But, paid $350-600 UWS//UES last decade and nothing special. Lowes, ArtHouse, Lucerne.
Looks good for what you paid especially with the free upgrade. A lot of hotels seem to suffer from lift issues. When I stayed at the Hyatt Centric TQ there were 6 lifts and the ones to the high rooms where I was staying were express so missed all the lower floors. In Feb/March I have one night at Hampton Inn near Penn then 3 nights at the end of my trip in DoubleTree as I fancied staying Downtown for a change. There is less choice there and thus a bit more expensive but still under £135pn.
Yep, I think judging by the comments anything around that price is pretty decent for downtown. Mind you, I'm looking at other cities in the US now and most seem to be at least that kind of price if not more!!
Great view in a clean and modern room for an excellent price! But I must say that I’ve stayed in Springhill Suites all over the USA and your room was about half the size (if that) of their usual footprint. That’s New York for you! But so many hotels there are dirty, cramped and super expensive that I’m shocked at the deal you got.
Cheers SG7. Yes I get the impression this was quite a good deal judging by yours and others comments. As for other hotels there, yep, sounds a bit like London!
2:28 England was winning by 4-1 to Iran at that moment. That's a pity that a Iran football player was sentenced to death. *He must be the World Cup Hero and I shouldn't supported Argentina in the World Cup Final*
I love your videos but I don’t know how to put it but I’ve noticed you are tuting a lot in your videos now sorry to be negative but otherwise your vids are great .
Darren, I’ll have a listen back. I suspect it’s not a tut, I’m pausing between paragraphs and making a noise! No problem with negative comments mate when they’re constructive so cheers for the feedback and I’ll bear it in mind 😊👍
That is insane value for Manhattan! Wow! And what an upgrade :)
Just did it through booking.com tbh with no real idea what it would be like. I was quite pleased with the view though yeh 😊

Great comment Maria, thanks for the info. I’ll definitely bear in mind for future 😊👍

@@LetsMakeaTrip Yep LA is very expensive for Downtown. I am staying at the Citizen M and that is around £125 per night.
Great area and price.

Only one night in NYC?
Yes sadly, I was flying back on Virgin in biz the next day and I couldn’t be missing that! 😊 I’ll be back one day 👍
I've been a couple of times, I'm actually going for Christmas this year!
