Visiting Sovereign Hill! | Awesome Australian Gold Rush Village | Ballarat, VIC 🇦🇺
Вставка

- Sovereign Hill Vlog! Located in Ballarat near Melbourne in Australia, this famous open air museum is a little historic village based on the Gold Rush the area experienced the 1850's. Featuring lots of theming, antiques, shops, food, live actors, shows, experiences and more!
Join us as we visit the attraction for the first time. We sadly only have had a few hours, so didn't get to experience everything. Good reason to come back!
One highlight (?) though is literally getting locked in a mine! We took the Gold Mine Tour, but the rest of the tour accidentally locked us behind a door, meaning we were stuck alone for awhile underground... fun!

i visited this place twice years ago its fascinating to visit id would go again
We loved it, too! What a great attraction
Getting stuck would freak me out. Looks like a cool place though. Might try and visit one day.
So happy I grew up a few hours away from here, also grateful for my father to enrich me at a young age at my countries history, thanks dad.
The whole area was lovely. Can imagine it would be a great place to grow up!
Looks like fun!
Highly recommend it!
i love just binge watching your content
Thanks so much! :D
Looks like a cool place...always forget that Australia also had a Wild West period in history and a gold rush like here in the USA. We have several places like this all over California, Nevada, Arizona and other western states. Calico Ghost Town here between California and Nevada is nice and was built by Walter Knott, the same guy who started Knotts Berry Farm, before he gave it to the State, and it is now a State Park. They also do a Halloween event there!
Knotts Berry Farm, Dollywood, Silverdollar City-which also has a cave tour in the park and Lagoon Park in Utah all have nice , themed Western sections of the theme park. There are others as well.
A real shame your tour was interrupted lol, it looked pretty cool up till that point.
I wasn't aware about the Gold Rush history of the town before hand, so it was quite surprising! It was really interesting discovering and learning about the area. Would love to visit the similar places in the USA someday. So many places to visit! Knotts is especially high up there being a Theme Park haha.
The tour was great until the detour... but I guess it makes for a fun and memorable moment!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I went here for my school camp a couple of days ago
Such a great place! School trips there must be awesome
@ they are
Omgg! I saw that exact cat when I went on camp! We did try to pat it but our teachers told us off.
It was adorable! I guess it lives there. Seemed pretty chill!
@@ThemeParkOgre yeah , about 12 of the 23 kids went to pat the cat!
it was very cool how they have animals like cats , horses , donkeys and lots of bugs lol
Heeeelppppp!!!!
I went on a school camp there and in the theatre here 2:28 i was the rain the far left one! It was so fun
We loved it too! Glad you had a fun time
Would be interesting to visit here one day. Gotten stuck underground before but that was caving down near Rockhampton. Recently went underground doing the Fremantle tunnel tour in Perth underneath the historical jail, you get into boats completely underground there.
Sounds scary! Luckily the mine at Soverign Hill was more of an attraction and not properly underground like the real ones. I don't think I could handle really getting stuck haha. I recommend visiting Soverign Hill for sure!
W vid! Btw can u go back and do the trapped tour? I would like to know what happened cuz i got scared 😟
Thank you! We went back last month (Vlog on the channel!) but we didn't do the tour. If we go again, I'd love to give it another go!
@@ThemeParkOgre alr, tks
Sovereign Hill was great! (even with that incident in the mines haha) Looking forward to returning some day as our time was pretty limited that day sadly.
Edit: We returned in 2024 and had a much longer visit! Check out our video here ➡ua-cam.com/video/8eublGInh9c/v-deo.htmlsi=VRZxT2WCAIaXFp_z
1 year later and now it’s just stairs :(
@@tkplushies What specifically? 😨
@@ThemeParkOgre the elevator (or ride) cable has broke at the bottom ( I saw it)
@@tkplushies dang that sucks, hope they fix it eventually!
@@ThemeParkOgre I talked with staff the elevator is permanently closed (at least for now)
Good thing that they gave a refund for your tour
For sure! Imagine if they didn't...
