Who is it?
Back before Red Vox really started their career, and when I heard that Vinny had a band and was making music.
This is exactly what I was expecting his music to be like.
That's just what I was thinking. I expected all of his music to have a fun, comedic feel to it, but most of the Red Vox music catalogue is some serious, and insightful stuff.
I hope this is somehow the song that makes Red Vox a household name
Legit one of my favorite fucking songs they made, it's very memorable.
I usually have a pretty good ear for songs that are going to blow up/make it big and I gotta say, I think this one really has the legs to potentially do so. If enough people listen to this and start talking about it I think it could hit that cultural critical mass point and get Red Vox substantially more attention than they're getting at the moment.

With how this sounds like Beck, features video game footage in the music video and describes the lifestyle of major group of citizens from a big American city , this is officially "The Valley of the Pagans" but for New York. I unironically love this ♥
You like Vinny Vinesauce and the Red Vox? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Another Light came out in '17, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Nirvana, but I think Boot has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '24, Melpert released this; "visions and afterthoughts", their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Garbage Land". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the mass inlfux of pests and the importance of sanitation. It's also a personal statement about New York itself. HEY JOEL!!

@@MrGoof-if8rb Realign was pretty experimental and more synth heavy than Visions and Afterthoughts. The latter is much more in line with traditional alt-rock.
From the spoken word verses, the higher register chorus, and the storytelling, I like the Gorillaz inspired sound! I'm used to nostalgic grunge from you guys but this was a nice surprise.
