Modification Updates | 2021 Softail Slim Upgrades

- It was a quick minute since we last talked about the modifications and upgrades we did to our Harley Davidson Softail Slim.
Over the winter months, while we had our bikes in winter storage, we ordered a few new parts in and had them installed before the start of the riding reason.
We got new Handlebar grips in, have 4 1/2" pull back risers installed so the handlebar is just a tiny bit closer to us, and then most importantly:
A new Air Intake and Air Filter including a Tune to get the full Harley Davidson Stage 1 Screaming Eagle!
We are so excited and happy with the results!!!! :)

Yup first thing I do when I buy my bike is change the exhaust!!! I do love VanceHines had them on all my Softails however with the M8 I find it it hard to get that rumble!
I chose Reinharts for my Heritage and it sounds sweet!!!

Hi, I have a 2020 Slim and I love it. Love the work you're doing with yours. Ideas I have for mine. I put black flush mounted gas caps on. I think it looks awesome. On the levers, I got some 1 Finger levers. They are supposed to decrease the pressure needed to pull by about 30%. They are black with the logo 1F on them. I put the HD Hammock saddle on mine. Super comfy because I have a bad back. I am going to look into the risers. That is a great idea. If you ever want to put a fairing on it, look into Vector. They come with pre-installed stereos if you want. Well, that was a lot, so I'm going to stop now lol. Great vid. New sub too.

Very cool, looks good guys! First thing I did was swap the stock seat for a Street Bob Seat. Has just a slight hump in the rear vs. the stock slim seat which keeps you in the seat better when you goose the throttle. It actually makes a pretty big difference. Also it puts you slightly more forward (good for me with short inseam). So far I am happy with the change, and still keeps the great stock-ish look. I was going to do the exhaust and AC next... but I may ride that stock for a bit and spend the money on a detachable sissy bar with luggage rack. Then I can take it on some longer trips right away. Looking forward to making this amazing bike my own! Thx for the vids

That sounds awesome!!! I find it so difficult to find the perfect ones for the slim 😅 love the look of the stock ones, but am missing the hangers as on my heritage 😁
G'day, did adding the risers allow you to sit upright while riding, even with the stock seat, or is it still a reach to the bars?
it is still a tiny reach unfortunately:( not quiet as upright as we would have hoped :(
@@CorinnaHaimerl Bummer. If I sit upright with the stock seat I'd need to grow my arms a couple of inches to reach the bars. No one knows the pain of the short. Sigh. :)

Just wondering, How many miles per gallon or kilometers per liter are you getting on your bikes? 😸
about 400km per tank 🥰 and there are about 19 liter in there :)

Do you notice a huge difference in the benefits of the Heritage windshield vs no windshield on the Slim? I'm debating on whether or not I should spend the $$$ for a windshield... and BTW, I have those same risers on my Slim, and I too like the more relaxed feel: ua-cam.com/video/-531mqQwgLo/v-deo.html
Yes I do! the windshield holds up tons! definitely recommend for longer trips 🥰
