My mom truly had it right back in the day pushing the neutrogena sunscreen whilst I was baking myself to leather with not an ounce of protection. Now I wear their 100+ helioplex on my face every day, especially since I use so much vitamin C, AHA, retinol, etc to reverse all that sun damage. Oh the irony. Can’t wait to see the house tour!

So glad I clicked on this video! I picked up this sunscreen a couple of months back on a whim and have been loving it! I wasn't sure if I could use it on my face (it doesn't say on the bottle) but I have been using it anyways and it's great. NO white cast, leaves my face feeling very hydrated. I don't even need a primer if I use this first. Highly recommend!

This is legitimately my favorite sunscreen of all time. It just feels like a lovely hydrating lotion and isn’t icky at all! It’s also great as everyday face sunscreen under makeup. Love! My faves are Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50 and Ultrasun SPF30 Face Moisturizing Anti-ageing Sun Protection.
Both feel so good and like good non greasy moisturizer on the skin, are fragrance and cruelty free, and also work well under makeup 😘.

I live in a tropical country and we never wear make up to the beach. The most I will do are brows and a tinted lip balm. Sunscreen is a given, but I do want to try mixing in those bronzing drops with my sunscreen. Specially on the first day of the trip, pre-tan. Love the lighting in your new bathroom!!
Nooooo don't mix bronzing drops with your sunscreen. You might mess up the formulation. If anything just add the bronzing drops on top. You want your sunscreen to do its job without interruption. You don't know why effect the mix ins will do to the efficacy of a sunscreen. I say this with concern. Xxxx
@Ham Sammich I live in sub tropic Australia where one of the leading causes of death annually is skin cancers and I know a lot of Australians take sun screen seriously and find it necessary. Yeah skincare companies participate in commerce just like Allana is earning her living with this paid sponsorship video. To say we need sun to survive is reductive. Sure we need sun like all things on the planet do. What we don't need is unnecessary direct sun exposure solely to tan the skin a few shades darker for perceived appearances.

That Neutrogena smell in the hydro boost is everything! Sounds about right....i slap on some tinted spf, i do the same with my hair to give it that "beachy" vibe. If I was going to like a beach/pool party, maybe mascara!?! But if I'm swimming then just the tinted spf....lil bronze...lil cheeck color & I am good to go 🌞😎🤎🤗. Thanks Lan, love your vibes 👍❤💯

I usually don’t wear any makeup at the beach, because my skin is extremely sensitive, and under the sun it gets tingly as hell. Recently I’ve been using Avène tinted mineral sunscreen and that levels up my look. I guess I could also do a bit of highlighter/bronzer cause girl gotta do what she’s gotta do to feel her best, riiight? I want that Nudestix combo!! (But they don’t ship to 🇧🇦 😭) Also: what a gorgeous bathroom, girl, how long do we have to wait for the home tour?!?? 😩🤩

When i am going to the beach for “swimming” i wear no makeup at all 🙃 it feels weird and i feel naked on the face but i dont like the feeling of makeup in hot summer times 🤷🏼♀️

I'm a super face and scalp sweater too. I tried prescribed tablets, lotions and potions from dermatologists, and they didn't work. I was then reading a few articles about vitamin D3 and correlation with face sweating, so I now take 4.000 iud twice a day everyday and it has helped. Obviously speak to your doctor before starting any new regiment. I knew I was vitamin D deficient, which is also linked to autoimmune illnesses. I do have MS so I am naturally low in vitamin D.

Dawnallsun no problems at all, I suffer from heat intolerance too so I know what you are going through. It means I stay indoors as much as possible in front or the air conditioning, and don't get much sun either as my meds gives me sun sensitivity as well. Have a blood test before you start unless you all ready know you are deficient, the dose is quite high. Normally they recommend 2.000-5.000 iud per day.
I hope you are doing "okay", you know what I mean.

You might like the Sarah Chapman Skin Insurance tinted spf. Gives a great tint for the face. Comes in spf30 and spf50.

So effortless and beautiful. I live in So Cal and I feel like this is a look that I can wear everyday even after the pandemic when we can go back to work on campus 💞Love your vids...such goals!!
I really tried to love the Neutrogena sunscreen last summer 😭. I would put it on, and then as I'd sweat throughout the day it would get in my eyes and BURN LIKE SATANS KISS omg. I also strongly dislike the fragrance! If they made a fragrance-free version of the sunscreen I'd be all over it! Alas, I will settle for my Clinique sunscreen in the meantime.
The only thing I wear on my face on hot summer days is loads of SPF 50 (!) and a nice (sometimes sparkly) eyeshadow (on the lids of course) smeared on with my fingers and a lipstick or lipbalm that I put on my cheeks too. Embracing the not covered skin and under eyes for years now (also with a tretinoin cream and some good Dr Dray (awesome YT dermatologist) approved skin care essentials my skin is at it's best).
For muah: glossier stretch concealer under eyes, on spots. L’Oréal Eyebrow gel stuff. Chapstick with spf. Maybe light dusting of bronzing powder on forehead, cheeks, nose, eyelids. And maybe light mascara. ✨ But this is my everyday too, I never do a base 🤷♀️ too heVaY..
Chemical spfs do not leave white casts because they absorb the rays as opposed to mineral/physical spfs which refract the rays. Also try microneedling on your burn scars it can help regenerate and thicken your skin

The bathroom is lovely!! Did you just say do your thing lil’ mama make it roll? 🙌🏻 Thank goodness you are addressing the sweat factor. I have been on hot side my entire life, I always sweat on my face in the NYC humidity, and have no idea how women have a perfectly put together serious makeup thing going on, on a day off. Or why? I’m going to try the trick with the glossier concealer. That and highlighter and lip gloss is probably all I need for a beach day. Although I’m older than you are and I over-plucked in the 90s, so I will have to use a little bit of eyebrow pencil with staying power.🌞🧡
