Hi again John! Hmm! That does seem to be a long time between app updates! It's interesting that when you go back, and then access the accessory screen again, the image of the point path has been updated! This would seem to suggest that things have updated internally, but the graphics haven't been updated, as the Z21 app hasn't been notified of the button press! Instead of going back, I wonder what happens when you click on that image when it's showing the incorrect path? Does everything correct itself? Or does everything still remain out of sync? Knowing the answer would give extra help to the developers should you ever get in contact with them! Speaking as a software engineer, this sort of thing is quite useful to know! Hi Ian, when I do what you suggest, the graphic on the app changes to where it should be. However, if I press the button on the control panel, the app still does not respond, and if I go back in and out of that screen, then it does update the graphic for that turnout.
Interesting John, sadly not the result you and I were hoping for.
One of the reasons I do not go down the computer route apart from not understanding it LOL.

Greetings to the Upside-down 🐨 and hello John 👋 Interesting detective 🕵️♂️ work 🔍👍 I've got the Z21 and z21 command stations to run my layouts 👌 and there are times that the Ipad will just loose signal to the command unit 🤬🤬 You can go a session without issue and then another time it just keeps dropping 😳 So it could be a software bug like yours regarding refreshing from the system 🤔 It's probably easier to run the real railway 😉 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Hi Paul, yes sometimes you just stumble across these things, it's just weird how it updates when i go back out then in. Interesting what you say about the sessions dropping. The problem with me is that this will bug me and I would like an answer. The only thing is, I am using the app with the DR5000 so not sure if that is an issue.
Hi John. Updating (or trying to) the Z21 app was a good move. However, if the authors of the app are not aware of the problem you are having, an update is unlikely to help. Have you tried to contact the authors (I dare say this would not necessarily be easy to do)?
Hi Paul, I was wondering about whether I could get in contact with someone regarding the app, but like you said, it may not be that easy. I'll have a look at their website and see if there is any contact info.
John, 3 ways to switch a point, switch button, ipad and Z21, do you need all three?
Hi Chris, probably not, but I enjoy tinkering! And when it doesn't work, I'm led down the proverbial rabbit hole.

Unfotunately I cannot help with the Z21 app, but I really like all the features it includes.
Hi Heath, I agree it's a good app, I like the fact that on one of the versions you can take a photo of your layout and put the turnout controls as an overlay
