I've been watching this news and these videos. I am very sorry that this young woman was murdered because of an incorrect hijab. More and more evidence is emerging that she had been severely abused. And there have been interviews with her family. For me this is unacceptable. I am a Muslim convert myself and wear the headscarf/hijab with all the love for God in my heart. And the headscarf and covering clothing are part of all 3 Abrahamic beliefs. The headscarf is worn by Jewish, Christian and Islamic ladies.
And as long as this is done voluntarily, with sincere love in the heart for God, then there is nothing to worry about. Genuine faith should come from the heart. You can't force it. Because if you enforce it, people will hate it. I'm very sorry about what happened to this lady. And I reject the deeds of those who did this to her.
Although I am religious and practicing myself, I also support women's right not to wear a headscarf. It should be our own choice. Coercion and violence are never good. God Himself has given us the choice to obey Him or not.
My condolences to the Mahsa's family during this difficult time and I will pray for them.
I'm sorry this had to happen to you.

When people do not want to remain in the stone age.
Iran had a revolution and invited the ayatollahs to be their new government. Iranians wanted sharia law. There are public beheadings in Iran every week. Iranians WANTED this. Iranian women wanted to wear the hijab and to follow sharia law. Iranians threw out their shah because he was modern and was dragging Iran into the the 20th Century. I know Iranians here and they are the biggest hypocrites.
Iranian actually were forward from most nations, but UK and USA installed Islamic republic in Iran

Islam is not a religion, but is an evil politic ideology😡
Sending love and prayers to all the Iranian women out there ❤
This is the fruit of stupidity by man telling women what is good for her.
Take a better look at those protest clips, iranian men(including me) are fighting this opression too ... i have been arrested twice for wearing shorts in public. This regime is harmful to everyone not just to the women
This not just about women or mahsa , people want to change the whole regime because of 40 years suffocation and dictatorship, men and women in Iran are suffering
Men are fighting beside women against the government

Deep condolence to this girl and hopefully she rest in peace😭

Investigated by whom? The authorities ?
I lived in Iran for 7 years in the 80s/90s, never arrested or harrassed by the morality police ( basij). the reason? I never showed my hair on the street and wore my scarf “ properly”. it was not difficult not to show your hair in public. period.I am NOT religious, If i could do it, why can’t others???? 😳

used to play soccer in the East Bay area with a lot of guys from India and Iran. Very friendly people. They told me stories of their friends being beheaded because they expressed some discontent on social media with the Iranian government. This has been going on since the 1978, and if people want to overthrow the brutal, fundamentalist government, they need to get off of their butts like these people are doing now and used armed force against armed force
Beheading and burning are typical islamic punishments.
This has been happening since 44 years ago, who thinks or wants her/him rights, the answer is a bullet or get raped from Islamic regime in Iran
They have destroyed all our ancient history and taken all our money resources to send for their children in foreign countries, regime says is against USA, but all family members of regime authorities are citizens in USA!!
I'm shocked why western governments keep silence!!

Huh?? They beheaded for expressing discontent in social media in 1978??
No. Wisdom and God teaches that evil ends itself. So people need to think outside the box. I would cut all power lines for the government officials. And let them in the darkness. Without killing anyone.

So proud of my sisters standing up to this violent oppression with such graceful strength ✊️👏🤲🕋☪️
(Also, just a reminder that this is NOT in authentic Islam- the Quran mandates modesty equally for both men and women, that's why men wear kufis and thobes. Hijab mandates are a cultural innovation, known in Islam as biddah, which is a very grave indiscretion)
well the Hijab is obligatory for Muslim women, but there is no punishment for not wearing one. Just like the 5 daily prayers are obligatory but there is no Islamic jurisprudential punishment for not praying the Salah. The word used for covering in Quran 24:31 is Khamr which means something to cover the head. I agree that what happened was completely unIslamic and the people responsible for her death should be held accountable.

Fight!!!!! You can do this!
I fully support whatever the women want or do in IRAN!!!!! GO WOMEN!!!
Wtf is wrong with these men?
They think they are above women be thankful you live in the wear were men respect women to an extent
These men were raised sick in the head by extremists. They also give conservative a bad rep because of how extreme they take it in their country. One of my friends family is Muslim but her family isn't radical, they are respectful towards one another bc it's the radical end of the religion that tries to force women what to wear & treats them like this. They give conservatives a bad rep bc this is radical/extremism bc I know conservatives & they ren't radical like this. They're respectful of others/normal. Politics labeling opponent political parties in the US already make it bad enough. These poor, poor women......there are no words for how f*ed up this is, but I'm not sure when things will change there for the better bc it's their society. Not like how things here in the US changed for the better over a 100-year period. They are still far behind & it's connected to extreme interpretation of the religion ingrained in their laws, unlike religious freedom & personal rights for both men & woman here in the states. They'll even call the police on women just for reading a news article they don't agree with. That's how strained & radical rights against free speech/personal rights are in many middle east countries, including this one.
