Dennis G. reflects on the enormous Church news that former Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has been excommunicated by the Catholic Church (The DDF) for denying that Pope Francis is the legitimate pope of Rome (i.e., schism). He also explains what the implications are for many who side with Viganò on this matter of schism.

Not watching, if you haven't attended a catholic church this last while back then you wouldn't have a clue. Like people giving opinions on wars, when they have never been involved in one.
Missing the point in some respects. There's a big difference between a papal claimant and a true Roman pontiff. Vigano isn't judging a pope, he's demonstrating from Magisterial Catholic teaching that Bergolio cannot be the pope.
I dont think the Vatican would take an action like this against an Archbishop, and not get it right. I feel bad for Archbishop Vigano. He did it to himself.
@eens9579 To be fair, did you listen to my entire video before commenting? I mentioned the ancient rule of law of “universal and peaceful acceptance”. Bergoglio was accepted as the legitimate pope by all the Catholic bishops and therefore is automatically the true pope. There are many more proofs besides this one, which Viganò and others have failed to reflect on. Even Bishop Athanasius Schneider knows this.

Good thing because your ignorance of the Roman Catholic religion (please study the history of the broad acceptance of some anti-popes by bishops, sedevacantism, sedeprivationisn and related issues). Your greatest error is failure to grasp the difference between the apostate novus ordo religion of Vatican II and the Roman Catholic religion. This the crux of the Vigano issue. If you want to actually understand what Vigano is talking about you could start with The Destruction of the Christian Tradition by Dr. Coomaraswamy or with Bishop Sanborn (available on UA-cam).
I have no need to argue any of this and having debated such things both personally and professionally for more than half a century will say no more.

The parallels and signs are irrefutable.. free will and choice are divine. All that disallows that and takes that away is satanic. Aka enslavement.
At the time of the judges, when Samuel was being born, the Jewish people had to tolerate the sons of Eli: also the prophets thundered against the many lapsed priests and we see examples of this in the New Testament documents as well : all the population long for upright men. The problem with Vigano was that he could have popularized and encouraged people in his convictions without throwing mud at other senior clerics, which he did. That is unfortunate.
Vigano has lost touch with reality.. He sounds like the kookiest millenialist preacher out of Kentucky.. Long live Pope Francis, successor of St Peter.

The Gospels record several instances in which Jesus' disciples simply didn't understand Him. They would be caught up in worldly issues such as "who will sit at Jesus' right hand". Fast forward to today, Catholics who don't understand Pope Francis are exactly the same as the disciples who didn't understand the words coming directly out of the Christ.

As long as the Catholic church gets rid of Vatican II, and reintroduces the old Latin rites and liturgy in their old form, it is all fine by me.
This Pope is creating a new religion and deviates from Christ's teaching. And we have to stop him.

The Church is always changing. The first modernists of the Church were the apostles themselves. Council of Jerusalem AD 50 was a proof how the Apostles modernized the Church in order to accomodate non-Jewish Christians.

Vigano doesn't believe that any Pope after Vatican II is the Pope. Which means you haven't received any Sacraments all your life because your priests and bishops were never ligitimaly ordained.
