I've used the old Mega Bloks Battlescape base plate to create a miniature scale diorama of the glassing of New Mombasa. It's not designed to be game accurate, just a bit of fun.

Only one suggestion about the glassing beam, I remember in halo 3 odst the beam was a bit thicker and had orange mixed in around the ground and glass cannon. If there is a way to implement that it would be cool. Otherwise looks good!
I agree. I'm always reluctant to paint anything as I repurpose parts on future builds. I did add an Orange insert jet engine round piece and some of the flame pieces to the bottom of the beam but it didn't look right so settled on what you see in the end but I do take your point.
That Shadow of Intent is gorgeous, holy heck. I'd honestly consider buying it off you. Either that, or I'd pay for some stock footage of it in front of a greenscreen.
Imagine if you built regret’s ship going through the slip space portal in the city with the in amber clad chasing them.
That was New Alexandria not New Mombasa. I got them mixed up too lol
Michael J Virginelli New Alexandria is the city from Halo: Reach, but New Mombasa is on Earth and in Halo 2

So creative. Not only does it look fantastic but also gives me another option for a Blade Runner cityscape. I was struggling how to do it and this might be one of the better solutions. Thanks

Wow this is amazing! I really love the diorama, especially since halo 3 odst is one of my absolute favorite games.

Most impressive! It takes some real imagination and creativity to make that micro scale city scape look realistic and varied and you knocked it out of the park!
The battle scape really adds some nice desert detail to the build. I think it would make the MOC even more detailed if you added the main bridge between the old city and New Mombasa as seen in Halo 2 🙂
Thanks for the comments, glad you like it. I did actually consider a bridge and gas the ideal pieces to create it but I wasn't 100% sold in it, maybe next time.

When you were slowly spinning the display at the end I had such anxiety watching the ship teeter ever so slightly. I knew it wasn’t going to fall in the video but I couldn’t stop from tensing with each movement it made. The diorama looks amazing and I love every video I’ve watched so far
I really wish that I could build amazing things like this. I don't have access to a very large amount of bricks, so I generally have to stick with what Mega officially releases.

This is so incredible, mate. Some of the most innovative part uses I have seen in a very long time. I adore the build for the Space Elevator, in particular. I also didn't even fully click this was a Battlescape I when I saw the photos on the forums, so that is a testament to your real talent. Excited to see you continue to do more stuff like this!
Thanks Tom, the video ended up being a day late as I had upload issues but got there in the end. I really enjoyed this build and it's open my mind to even more possible future builds that I already had. I've got some ideas for similar builds using the battlescapes too.
@@brickman1175 It's always great getting to experiment - especially with different scales. Finding ways to communicate some of the key iconography, like the Space Elevator, in bricks is always fun too. Keep building mate - loving all the vids, as you already know!

I thought the cruisers such as these had their glassing beams more in the middle of the ship. I dont know I might not be remembering right but it still looks really good

Thank you, glad you like it. Music choice is always difficult when your using license free music that you don't pay for. (There's not a great deal of choice), It would be much easier soundtracking videos if I could use licensed music for free.

Here's an idea. The Shadow of Intent is a Sangheili Assault Carrier, which arrives in Halo 3 to hold a truce with Humanity as it pursues Truth and the Flood. Your diorama has a lot of brown/tan surface between the two city areas. So, let all that be Flood biomass that the Intent is burning away.

Just a little something to share, if there’s Halo fans out there who love to recreate/create scenes of ship combat or just making a fleet, I would use Gmod for a starter. Yes it sounds odd, however there’s massive ship models you can download and use with little scaled down maps to bring size to perspective. For me I use a Halo Ring map and just add ships in formation, etc. It really does look amazing the models, and there’s firing props, like muzzle flash and bullet rounds.

The space elevator had collapsed before the shadow of intent had started glassing it didn't start until the flood landed on earth in halo 3 and the space elevator collapsed right after the carrier made the jump on halo 2 it's amazing build though I just wanted to point that out I really like what you did though
