Thanks so much for sharing this! I hiked Gothics and Upper/Lower Wolf Jaw back in the late 1970's! We climbed Lower Wolf to upper wolf with full pack. It was raining climbing lower Wolf. By the time we reached upper Wolf, it was snowing! You brought back so many memories! I AM going back! Summer 2011 !
Hey, For day hikes we have been parking at the Ausable Club and hiking the road in, It follows the river and is flat, fast and easy hiking to get you in. It is on the other side of the range from the Garden. The road gets you as far as the dam or you can head up at the wolfjaws, Armstrong or Gothics before the dam. Good luck and plan ahead
Thanks for the info! im gonna start at rooster comb and take the shortcut before marcy, head back on the johns brook trail. should be do-able in 1 and 1/2 days, no? as long as I get a 4:30 am start
Hey, im gonna set out this weekend and go on wolfjaws and end up on basin, camp somewhere down in that valley. think its possible to do the whole range in one day? and where can you park? Im trying to find the easiest route, and parking at the garden seems unnecessarily far
