  • It's beach fishing time!
Do you have a pier or beach cart that you use to bring all of your fishing stuff along with you?
If you do, you might have noticed how important the tires are...
I've been bringing my pier cart (with pier tires) to the beach and it's been hard work to roll it down to the water!
However, since I've installed poly tires that were made for the beach, it's been a lot easier to roll it over the sand.
    In this video, you'll learn:
    - The pros and cons of beach tires vs. pier tires
    - How to install new tires on your cart
    - The top mistakes people make when installing new tires
    - And much more
I have the Fish N Mate Jr. cart and here are the exact tires I purchased: amzn.to/30xlj2V

Have any questions about beach tires?

I have the larger cart and I'm converting mine over to four wheels. A four wheel conversion makes it easer as it relates to deal with the weight on the cart. With two wheels carts you have to lift the one side and if you have a full cooler you'er forced to position it over the wheels. This sometimes takes up room for other gear. Plus, it adds to the fatigue of having to lift and pulling the cart around. A conversion can be done on the Jr., however, two rod holders have to be removed or moved over in order to make room to spread out the wheels. There's a couple of UA-cam videos out there showing the conversions. Great video by the way

Buy these fellas. These are the only wheels you want. If they DO get a puncture. You fix it with a hot knife and keep it moving. THESE ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED.

What is the difference between the orange tires that accompany the model 310 cart and the grey tires that accompany the model 686 cart?

The only traction you had was with your feet. The original tires did not have the flotation the new poly ones do. I'm curious to see how they'll perform. How do you like the size of the cart?

Do you have a video showing how easily or hard it is to pop the balloon tires? One run in the state park with my new cart and sand spurs and now my tire wont stay inflated long... I'm curious of others with this problem

Get sone Stan’s tire sealant, it’s a tubeless mountain bike sealant but should work perfectly in the poly tires

How have the orange worked out and how are they holding up? I just got a Fish n Mate Sr. Cart with them. Haven't tried it out yet. I'll probably upgrade it to 4 wheels in the future but curious if I should be looking for wheeleez or another set of orange ones. We will only use it on beach trips once a year.
    Thanks

How firm do you inflate tires? Psi gauges are having hard time reading pressure in these wheels, so i guess mine were sligthly unde inflated and i transported 80lb worth of weight and both tires started to bulge out on sides.

Cheaper carts are powder coated steel and don’t last near as long near saltwater. Higher dollar carts are aluminum and last much longer.

@@williamelliott4444 I just figured out the discrepency. The Chinese are selling cheap knockoffs on Amazon with the same exact name. This is why Amazon is under fire now for allowing Chinese to infringe on patents and copywrites on their site.

They're very delicate. One of my tires got punctured the first day I took the cart out to a bridge here in Florida and I still can't figure out how to fix it. I know they were made for the sand, but I thought they'll be ok on the pavement and I was wrong. I've tried a couple of things but nothing works. It sucks!

I had this same cart but the bigger one, an the orange tires are really really bad quality. After 2 or 3 times started making a terrible noise, and tires expanded double its size so it was almost impossible to move! At home I checked it out and both tires were broken, a small piece inside hold everything together and that piece can’t take any heat and it is made from cheap plastic! An almost $400 cart and useless because of these tires! Check out all the reviews and you will find many people with the same problem. And no answer from the store where I bought it! If you have the money go for the weelEEZ, expensive but the only one tires that really you can use not only for sand’

Comparing these orange poly wheels to a regular solid wheeled foldable cart like the ones at Walmart and Costco, how much easier is the pull through the sand?

  • @ianlaccohee7180
    @ianlaccohee7180 4 роки тому +5

Sorry but those orange wheels aren't much better. I have the senior cart with those & fully loaded the cart is tough to pull on sand with 1-1.5 psi in them. The only way to go is Wheeleez. They have proper bearings, so there is minimal rolling resistance. I have wheeleez on my Hobie cart. They are expensive, but the extra is well worth it. You get what you pay for. Just my observation & experience.

@@Nainoauyeno_ I would spend the extra, & get Wheeleez. I would buy the senior with the orange wheels, then sell the wheels & axle to offset the price of the Wheeleez. Don’t waste your money on a solid wheel cart.
