Hello. Glad to see you. Praying all is well with you and your family. I love that you include quality items in your basket. I like that you include low cost items as fillers. Great video. Thank you for sharing!
When doing baskets, I try to buy things that I would buy for someone as a gift.
Great tips! Thank you!

Great tips on pricing baskets.
Thank you so much for watching!
You are spot on.. unfortunately for me I live in The Bahamas, I have to fly to the US to do my shopping for each season, so not only do I pay for a ticket with travel expenses I also have to put duty and taxes on all the items I bring into the county. Therefore, my prices has to be much more to cover the cost.
Oh wow!! Would online ordering be a little less expensive? Would you still have to pay duty and taxes on that as well? I guess the good thing about getting stuff from the US is you don’t have to worry about anyone else there having the same items as you
@@tinyscreations some things I can order online online. Most things I must go in store to score a deal like after holiday sales. Not only is it is very costly to ship from dollar tree but shopping DT online gives you limited options. Also Duty and taxes still has to be paid on item shipped into the country.
Thanks for sharing.

Very helpful thank you❤
Thank you so much!
I love this I like that you used easy numbers. I'm glad to know im on the right track with pricing. My neighbor wants items for doc and nurses to raffle. I went to high end stores out of town and a few items from TJ maxx. I did a coffee and tea basket, a spa basket and , a cozy night in basket. EAch basket came out to $70 spent on each basket. What would I charge total based on that or if that would you charge based on that?
Thank you so much for watching! You need to at least double it so don’t go any lower than $140. You should also take in to account the time and gas it took you to go out of town
Thanks for the information great video 😊

Great video
Thank you darling 😘
Back again. I'm trying to gage how to make mid range baskets. My neighbor is buy the basket as in my previous product below. However some people are not happy with $100 and up for baskets, but if you do cheap dollar store baskets with every day stuff people complain even though it looks like. A family member wanted a LARGE starbucks themed basket and merchandise with a queen bee theme. Nothing with Starbucks name is under $20 and the same with "queen bee stuff" even on etsy or amazon. Starbucks doesn't have much in the way of merchandise other than mugs and tumblers and maybe a shirt or stuffed animal. They weren't happy when I said its gonna be a hundred dollars easy. Not to mention I'd have to ship from Va to FL. No way for it not to be $100. I said "unless you get a small basket with like 2-4 items in it then it MAY be a little cheaper." Even if you go to mid grade stores like TJ Maxx your looking at spending $6-$12 on stuff to get a full basket. So if you spend $6 for 5 items your already at $30 not mentioning materials and labor. Am I right in my thinking here?
There will always be people questioning your price. If they request a certain theme or certain items, give them your price and let them know it’s not up for negotiation. One thing that has helped me is adding Dollar Tree items as filers to the main item/items to my baskets. For example I made a Mickey and Minnie basket with mugs from Hobby Lobby ($5 each). I added cookie cutters ($3), cookie mix ($1.25), and 2 hot cocoa packets ($0.30), basket $1. It sold for $45.
For Starbucks, I would add a cup and maybe some coffee depending on the price. Depending on the recipient I would add a journal and pen or prayer cards (from Dollar Tree). Maybe a candle or wax melts. Or even a hand lotion. You only need 1, maybe 2 actual Starbucks items
Thank you for the tips of pricing....................I enjoy making the baskets but have been stumped with pricing.
Thank you so much for watching! I still struggle with pricing sometimes
Hi I came across your video and love your basket. How long have you been doing baskets. I’m still learning and taking notes.
Thank you so much for watching. This is my 2nd year making baskets
Thank you for the tips. I about to start my gift basket business and was wondering how and if you also incorporate gas for driving to the store in your final price. Also, how do you know how many baskets you want to sell. For instance do you do a whole bunch of prepackaged baskets for occasions say valentines etc. or more bespoke baskets made to order...? And if you decide on themed baskets how do you determine how many you want to sell per theme...?
My personally, I don’t incorporate gas because I don’t make special trips to go shopping for items. If I was doing custom orders, I probably would but I have never had a custom order for a basket. In the past I never had a hard number on how many baskets I wanted to sell, I just make them. However my goal for this holiday season is 150 which is a huge number for me. I don’t really have a method as to how I determine what to make, that’s determined by what I find while shopping. One thing I have started doing is making multiple of the same baskets (1. It’s easier and 2. A lot of customers ask for multiples of the same baskets)
Thank you so much for your response…
