I am a sketchbook enthusiast but haven't found a steady practice, so it's great to see your dedication to a real practice and what each exercise teaches you. I like to hear you talk about what you learned. Remember, there is no bad art (and I thought the squirrels were fantastic 💯
Excellent work, and very motivating as always! Thank you for sharing. I have one potential idea for you (which I'm sure you've heard of, if not already tried), but when you are struggling to draw some animal, or a particular pose, try turning the reference photo upside down, and just draw what you actually see. Keeps your brain from interfering so much with the process.
Thank you! I have tried the upside down thing but only a long time ago. I should try it again now I have more experience. The last time I tried it, I found that without a coherent idea of what I was drawing I struggled to get things in proportion, but maybe I was just struggling with proportions anyway. Thank you very much for the idea.

Thank you! I've really enjoyed finding a sketchbook practice that keeps me going, and I hope you find your own practice soon.
This is inspiring me to do more art and animation exercises! Thank you so much :D
That's great! I love the animation exercises, I ended up drawing hundreds of those flour sacks (on random pieces of paper, mostly).
