I'm planning to start Level A with my boys who are bilingual and struggling with writing. I've seen pros and cons of this curriculum but what I love the most is that they will learn HOW to write instead of WHAT to write. We are doing Fix it Grammar and they love it too. This video is super helpful, as always thanks for sharing.
I liked the way you explained IEW. I have been looking for a video like this because I didnt understand how this program worked. Thank you so much, I have a better understanding and can say I like this writing style!!
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been debating whether or not to add this for my rising third grader and haven’t seen a video like this yet! Definitely will wait til she enters 4th grade.
I’ve been waiting someone to do a video like this for forever!!! And I have to say I think it looks fantastic. We are currently using EIW and I don’t like that half of it focuses on grammar. We need a writing focus curriculum. Anywho THANKS!
Hey! I know that SS is geared for 3-5 grade but clearly there is quite a difference in abilities between those ages. In your experience, do you feel that the program is better suited for the 3rd or 5th grader?
I would say 4th grade is the perfect age right in the middle! That’s when I started my oldest and she has done great ok the program, my youngest her daughter a bit more to catch on. Still worked for both and it was nice doing it across multiple age levels
Where did you get the homeschool plane it paper? Some of the information is hard to see or understand because you move so quickly.... Thank you for your help though, I have gathered some.
The schedule I printed is from the website Homeschool Planet which is an online planner. Sorry if this video didn't help you understand, I am sure there other videos on UA-cam that explain this curriculum
This is very helpful! I’ve been interested in seeing how IEW works and this gave me a better understanding. Thank you!
One of the best videos I've seen on IEW and seeing how a lesson looks like! 👏 you broke it down so well! Amazing... thank you!! ❤
Thank you ❤️

Thank you for the informative overview. I remember you mentioning or doing BJU Press in the past. Question: How does IEW compare with BJU writing?
We did not end up using BJU so I cannot compare
@@gatheredandgroundedhomeschool oh ok, thanks for replying

Hi! Have you ever used the themed books from IEW? If so, which did you prefer, the themed books or the video lessons?
Also, I know you mentioned not doing to book recommendations they have; but is there a guide to go along with it or do they just make a suggestion?
I am not sure to be honest, I know it tells you what books to read and when but no idea if there is anything additional to it ❤️

Is it required to type up the paper the last day? Or can they just rewrite it? I’m considering this program but my child doesn’t know how to type yet
No need to type- just something I have my kids do
How old would you say this is for?
It would depend on the child but 4th grade is probably a great age to start
@@gatheredandgroundedhomeschool thanks!!
