I was there and it was one of the best gems I have found in Glastonbury. Sadly the video coverage can never capture how awesome the atmosphere was there. The music was amazing and she is a true queen. I most certainly would not miss her live performances 👌🎶👌🎶🎶👏
Love her and all the African and Caribbean vibes at this year's Glastonbury! I have heard so many artists that I did not know and never hear in the US! Thank you, Glastonbury 2022 for the broad range of programming!
Cultural appropriation? Are you even serious? Then this song is not even supposed to exist since David Byrne did the Remain In Light album inspired by West African music and Fela Kuti's Afrobeat.
@@afrovibesblog241 And mainly Brian Eno. Btw can anybody use the phrase cultural appropriation. If so then you would have to go back to the Assyrians, Egyptians, Hindustani or Carnatic earlier forms of music to make any sense of what you just said. Please enlighten me.
@@gregstewart6429 I'm not saying there's cultural appropriation here, I was answering to Joe's comment. If you want my opinion here it is...I don't believe in cultural appropriation. From the moment you get inspired by someone or something, as long as you give credits where it's due, fine. When you don't acknowledge the origin, it's not cultural appropriation, it's just stealing !

Fantastic twist to a timeless classic

Yes. It is great to see the big stars but when you can find new acts to follow that is gold
These acts tour the US. Love her!
The reason you never hear these artists is because of the radio industry, and the bullshit it foist onto you and everybody else.
What a legend!! Loved this sooo much
Legend
Bravo, bravo Angélique ! Tu incarnes la force des femmes et c'est tellement essentiel. Merci de Montréal, Canada.
She's killing it!
Ingenuity, Legendary 🔥🔥🔥🔥
A queen showing the folks how to bust some moves!
and we're moved, moved, moved @ 1:53 boss dance move 👌 🥰
I bet David Byrne is really happy with this! :o)
The best cover I have seen
Okay. Talking Heads. An interpretation from Angélique Kidjo? Now I'm speechless. And I love it.
How does this have 18k views and only 571 thumbs? This better be one of those moments where only 571 of us have each watched it 30+ times
1:53 boss move 👏
Tru that S.A.N.T.O.S
so fun!
This looks like so much fun1 I can't wait to experience my first Glastonbury fest one year :D
Wow!
awesome
I liked it. But I prefer the Talking Heads version by a long chalk. I like here doing her own compositions best.
I thought it was mediocre at best. And possibly bordering on cultural appropriation.
