Very good video. Toton 1998 was probably the best open day I've been to. How sad though to see all those 60's rotting away, just glad I cleared them before the withdrawals started.
I dont think there has ever been a vid of Toton at dawn before, spectacular Kev and full credit to you, you have filled a hole there. This is my favourite yard on the planet! Why? Its full of Redsheds ha ha!
You know they should do episodes of Springwatch from there. Michaela chasing after badgers with a backdrop of locos. Or just rolling stock Springwatch.

I'm not sure I've ever seen so many locos in one yard - thank you for making this film :)

Never seen so many locos!
Kev, absolutely brilliant video, awesome as always, thanks for sharing it with us!
Great video so many locos in the yard well done
It’s changed a lot since I last went there decades ago, then there were 44,46, 40, 56,37 & 20’s.
What’s happening with those 60’s ?
Great video.
All scrapped no doubt
Was that 66051Maritime 4 Kev or 005/047? 66142 lives at Trafford Park, fifth week now on Southampton TPark!

The first part of the vid looked like a modern "Woodams" yard
where abouts at toton did you do this video
graham burley - the first bit is on the bank @ Banks Road and the last few clips from Brian Clough Way (on the duel carriageway)
wooow im first i like and keep do videos cuz your cool!!!
I guess this is where the Class 60's go to die... quite sad really.
Have they decided what’s happening with those class 60s?
2 or 3 60s that were stored at crewe are being refurbished for DCR, some of these at Toton may end up being sold for scrap, no work for a large fleet.
Am I right in thinking that GB rail have bought all those 90's to work their future freight contracts
Don't know about these 60s at to ton, GBRF got the 10 60s that coalas had.
Toton
Correct. Living on Merseyside I am quite fortunate as they work the Biomass from Liverpool. There's often 2 or 3 at Edge Hill.
Very nice :)
