Yezzir indeed! I remember watching him when I was a kid ballin at a place called the king center in South bend dominating grown men and he was still in High school!
Shaw kemp was my favorite player as well. I believe kemps downfall was that he relied on a god given athletic ability and didn’t put in the work. Imagine if kemp kept his nose clean and had that killer instinct and dedication that Michael and Kobe had! He would be the best PF to ever play the position in my opinion.
I love when people get original regular down-to-earth people man because they going to tell you what's real and they going to give you knowledge in every interview that they have they going to give you knowledge
yeah, its always funny hearing folks today say that the 90's didnt have athletes. guys like kemp, larry nance, or MJ would be the most or one of the most athletic guys in todays game as well.
Payton entered the league in 1990. By 93' he was in the conference finals and every year after the Sonics were considered a team that could win it all. That's sustained excellence. This is why I loathe this new way of thinking that "so and so didn't win right away in the league." Back then you got to a team, strapped up your boots and grew that team to perennial contender status. Anybody can have immediate success if they're jumping from team to team every other year.
yea, i love it when players stick with shitty organizations and try to win with niggas like otto porter or mo harkless starting next to them! it's much harder to win next to shawn kemp and detlef schrempf
KG & GP are two of my favorite all-time NBA players, because they’re cut from the same fiery, competitive cloth. So glad they have a good relationship.

Love this intro. I grew up in Corvallis. When I was in high school, we used to go shoot around at Gill Colosseum after school. One day we were in the way when practice started for the college team. It was one of the first few practices of the year. Was the first time we saw this wirey, quicksilver dude, Gary Payton. We were in immediate awe. Been a huge fan ever since.
