I believe that K was a man generations ahead of his time and a genius really.
I have 4 questions which I wish someone had asked K. If anybody knows of any video or audio of him addressing them please share. Thanks in advance!
ON DESIRE: K used to say something along the lines that desire is created by thought, and is destructive, brings insecurity, which brings division, which leads to violence and all the rest of it. Nonetheless, didn’t he himself “desire” that the people listening to his lectures understood what he was trying to communicate to them? Of course he did! Did he desire to change mankind and stop human suffering? Of course he did! Thus, he desired! He desired to change the world!
ON DIVISION: K used to say that ANY type of division was “bad” (i.e. nationality, family, religion, etc.), but he himself often DIVIDED time between “psychological time” and “physical time”. Thus, his argument was often supported by division! The same applied to desire when he talked about desire for physical security being separate and distinct from desire for psychological security. He divided them!
ON THOUGHT: K used to say (something like) thought was always playing tricks on human beings, and could never lead to right action, and only led to sorrow and all the rest of it. Nonetheless, during his many talks with Dr. David Bohm, they both were systematically “thinking” about how to best coin a sentence. That was thought in action! Their words were a product of thought! They even mentioned having looked the meaning of world in the dictionary.
ON SECURITY: K stated that if one reached psychological security than physical security would be “all right”, because true psychological security would always lead to right action. He even said that if his house burned down, he would not care. Come on now! I would care (and guess I will always care) if my house burns down!
My friend it seems your thought is annoyed by K's talks . Desire is the recognition of thought of past expierience creating pleasure through the sences and thought wanting to repeat. Pleasure is another think from joy . Joy is not related to circumastnaces. If you wish something that is not bad. It depends on your motivs. Staying with compassion for the word has nothing to do with pleasure.
Physical time is created by thought. Thought carried time to pchycological field where time is not a factor of transformation. Thought creates our world and afects the physical world. That means that time is not usefull phycollogically. These are two irrelevant thinks Whether you accept it or not is another matter.
One may use thought to anayse , to describe to understand to commune, but it is only our perception of truth that comes out of pure mortivless speachless observation that will free us. K says that over and over and over.Whether you do it or not is irrelevant.
K speaks about attachment many times . What one feels is just a matter of belief. Whethr you aggree or not is just a matter of ideas. Truth is genuine, and canot be met by thought.
On Desire: its not his desire to communicate the teachings. But it is his Compassion. Once a man steps out of the stream, he has compassion for those who are still in it. Thus he tried to help.
On Division. The scope of his teachings, as of other spiritual teachings, concerns only with psychological realm. Of course there are divisions among physcial objects and this is clear.
On Thought. Yes, but in order to communicate they have to use words to point to that which can not be described. The word is not the thing.
On Security. I think he meant we need to be responsible while we are in relationships (with a house, with a friend) but no need to be dramatic. This does not mean one is heartless, but this level (say enlightment) Compassion, Love, Intelligence guide his actions.

Wish it was translated to other languages by skilled people or subtitles (accurate or close to it) in other languages... I was trying to talk to my mother, about a few concepts, which I failed to do properly, that's when I felt the need.
I am sorry but I could not understand it entirely. Does it mean that through detatchment can we find our true understanding of beauty? That by silencing ourselves of any prejudices, sentiments, and standards, are we able to truly appreciate something as beautiful?
I used to think that K 's views on nation states and religious division was too utopian and impossible. Now as I see amazon and Borneo burning .. overpopulation of Asia and Africa ice caps melting and America and china heading for another era of competition. I see what he was saying. This is an endless cycle. There is no choice but to think and act as a united species. Division fragmentation won't do.
