I'm sealed to a man who had lost his first wife to cancer. Before I ever met him I had a dream wherein a lady dressed in white and looking very cheerful and happy told me that the Lord was waiting to bless me. I wrote it down & tucked that dream away & didn't think about it for several months. When I met my husband & got to know his children & see family photos, I recognized his late wife as the woman in my dream. That's a personal story & I hesitated putting it on here. I have NO feelings of jealousy or fear of meeting her in the hereafter. I think we will be like sisters, so close and loving is the feeling I have for her and I think she will feel the same about me. The world in general has NO IDEA what heaven or family relationships will be like. There will be no room for any type of jealousy or pettiness possessiveness or God will not allow us to be with Him. I hope if I am worthy to be able to spend eternity in such a family unit in the Celestial kingdom. The gospel of Jesus Christ is true as restored to the earth by Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is true, as is the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. God wants to bless us...all of us. But we are so stubborn and negative and attack His chosen reoresentatives. I wonder how much longer He will be patient with this world. Great work, Hannah. I learned a lot. I had been a little confused as to what all the controversies online were all about, so I'm glad I found your channel. Thankyou for being a voice of reason.❤
Without polygamy i may have big question, but it had, so it is testimony to me that truly the Restoration happened through Joseph Smith the prophet. Thank you for all the efforts to hear the world the truth.
Many years ago, I was reading "The Glory of Mormonism", a book by a regular member. It had chapters about the "controversial" doctrines. As I finished the chapter about polygamy, the Spirit bore witness to me that it is a true doctrine. I was surprised at this because it was just casual reading - I wasn't looking for confirmation but there it was.
I'm hearing this exactly eight years late. You're doing great work, Hannah. I think you're being charitable when it comes to the CES letter. When I first read it, I found it to be full of false assumptions and logical fallacies. But thank you for your patient explanations for the honest seekers after truth.
This is wonderful! "There are real answers to every question." I am excited to learn more about this foundation, partly because I have ancestors who were members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the Doctrine and Covenants time period.
This has been a outstanding interview . What a wonderfully intelligent young ladie . I do hope she speaks to us again . BT W this radio station is also wonderful . I love listening.
I'm glad you created "Debunking the CES letter." I came across the CES letter and came across some compelling arguments he raised and questions it triggered in my mind. But after reading it, I immediately looked up the answers and came across your PDF documents. It gave me a fast shortcut to finding the answers and I wish one of my family members, who has now left the church because of church history things he found, would have read your PDF document as well.
I sent 2 comments to the CES Letter informing on the reality of Paul Gregersen debunking the arrogant Egyptologist opinions against Joseph Smith by presenting proper interpretation. I gave a basic rundown on how Paul Gregersen demonstrates on his pro Book of Abraham videos that Joseph Smith was right, the Egyptologists were wrong. The CES Letter ignored my comments.
When the internet came, we have no choice but to show it that we are not embarrassed after all. Go search for it. We no longer say read only books that are approved by the church.
There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books.
I hope you read this Hannah. I also believe the translations from the papyrus that are the Pearl of Great Price by Joseph Smith is 100 percent acurate. Id love to discuss why with you
Based on extensive research, we do not believe the seer stone translation hypothesis can be supported through credible and reliable sources. Please see the book, "Seer Stone v. Urim & Thummim: Book of Mormon Translation on Trial" for a more detailed review of the origin of the the claim, as well as an in depth look that reveals David Whitmer's accounts are not credible and consistent. www.amazon.com/Seer-Stone-Urim-Thummim-Translation/dp/1644670119
If I understand correctly, one of the Church's sponsored historians, Richard Bushman, based on his research, came to the conclusion that Joseph Smith used a seer stone in a hat for at least part of the translation. This is a recent reversal of the Church's previous belief and position that the stone in the hat stories were false. Because Bushman is a Church-sponsored historian, and is not trying to lead people out of the church, his conclusion has been accepted by the church officially (apparently). However, Hannah makes a really good point that the only "witnesses" who endorsed the stone in the hat method were in opposition to the Church when they made or agreed to those claims. So my guess is that Joseph did not use a stone in the hat. But if he did, that's fine, too. The important thing is that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and Joseph Smith translated it by the power of God, however he did it.

You can tell some ex-mos and anti’s watched this video by looking at the ratio. Did no one want to go to the sources that they reference in this video? Are people only wanting the answers to be shoved down their throats without doing any of the work themselves?
I marvel at how many people think these 19th century people lived like we live. They were not constantly listening to music (good or bad), scrolling for 10 hours a day on UA-cam and Instagram and other social media apps, no 24 hour news cycle and other distractions keeping them from being able to be so spiritually strong. No! These people had so much time to themselves to ponder, read, pray, study more and more. Of course they felt the presence of the Holy Ghost more, believed in spiritual witnesses, etc. They were a peculiar people and the strongest felt the instant desire to seek more and more of the spiritual strength needed to survive and find the truth they desired. Also, I disagree with Hannah in that Runnels was not being sincere. Legit questions that were crowd sourced maybe, but sincere, nope.
Regarding the Mary comment… these were biblical times… literally 2,000 years ago. Furthermore… “if it’s good enough for the son of god, it’s good enough for us” would imply that even today your opinion of a 14 year old bride would be acceptable.
You can read Hannah Stoddard's article here: ldsanswers.org/did-joseph-smith-marry-a-14-year-old-girl and she does clarify that "such convention or practice would not be wise today." She is merely pointing out that elements of Church history parallel the mother of the House of Israel and the mother of the Son of God as a perspective of history. Hannah and the Joseph Smith Foundation does not endorse or encourage underage marriage today.

The Lord speaks to us through the word, the Bible. You will exhaust yourself defending the COC of LDS built on Joseph Smith and certainly not the God, Son and Spirit of the Bible. Way too many glaring inconsistencies! You simply worship a different God and Christ then that of the Bible. The Church of Christ of the New Testament has had no need of reformation, ever, it is the perfect will and purpose of God. It is blasphemy to think any different. Neither the gates of hell or Joseph Smith will prevail against it. The problem has always been on man’s part of apostasy, division and sin. Acts 7:48-49 KJV [48] Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, [49] Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Where are found the apostles and prophets? Mormon was a prophet, like those in the old testament. He was the principle author of the book of Mormon, which is a compilation of the spiritual history of his people. But this is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

You mix polygamy, plural marriage and polyandry. All three are different. Polygamy is not a higher law, terrestrial or celestial.
Um... U willing to discuss any of this with Bill Reel or RFM????????? I doubt it😉
Not everyone will accept polygamy, that's why not everyone is going to qualify for exaltation. D&C 131 is clear on this doctrine. You must be obedient to this commandment if you are going to accept the fullness of marriage.
132?
Disagree
If that's true, why do the missionaries leave that part out in their discussions?
