Yup, the thicker the paint the better it will cover the print lines. But it could also cover fine details in the print so it works better in some cases then others.
SoftwarePole I was planning to cut out the face with a vinyl cutter I was going to get for another project but didn’t end up getting it so painting on had to do. May still get a cutting in the future and then I can make a new face.

Then “high solids” or “filler” primer to fill in anything left over. If you wanted a glass like finish you would do a few coats of primer with wet sanding in between with 400-600 grit sand paper.
You mean the break in the chin piece. I thought about adding it but would have to model it into the helmet and re-print it. Would not be easy to add it to the existing helmet without snapping it off.

Just saw your vid on babypowder resin smoothness. You think printing in tge plastic color your need and do babypowder resin and sanding, finishing of with clearcoat would be a good result instead of painting all tge parts? Also a shorter workprocess perhaps.
What brand paint and clear coat are you using over the primer? I've had the worst luck with getting the clear to not react with the color using standard spray paint. Thinking of going the airbrush route that you did.
The colour paint is a cheap acrylic paint from a art store. I water it down myself to make it thin enough to spray. The clear coat is from Rustoleum. As long as both your paint and clear are either water based or oil you shouldn't have issues. Don't mix them though.

Some of my friends use bumper paint on their larger prints, it seems to smooth the ridges out quite well.
