You might have some CA glue on your fingers. Sanding a tiny bit with very fine sandpaper is something you can do quickly. You may be able to get it off with that.

Acetone has the ability to dissolve CA glue, test out acetone-it's super accessible, and just might be the solution to dissolving your glue worries away.

The debonder comes with an applicator, and it is quick and easy to use. - It's viscous than acetone, so it stays on your fingers a little bit longer, and it's not as harsh on skin.
So, you can put debonder on a variety of surfaces, and best practice is to always test it on an inconspicuous spot on a surface to make sure that the debonder or the acetone won't alter the color of the material.

Salt works also. Sprinkle salt over the area, then pour a small amount of water over it. Viola!
I had posted earlier on using Vaseline and it works. But here’s a reason to get their Debonder. I decided to buy some with my last order taking advantage of their holiday sale. I then proceeded to glue myself pretty severely to my wood project, not just once, but twice! Damn thin CA can run fast and get you quick. The Debonder not only worked, but besides a slightly slick residue on my skin which washes off easy, no CA glue was noticeable, it pretty much vaporizes it. Vaseline would have ruined my project, the Debonder dried up and had very little effect on my project. I have not tried a finish on it so I’m not sure if the residue would effect stain or paint, but visually I am happy I bought it.
Everyone in our warehouse who bottles our glues uses the debonder at the end of every day and their hands are baby soft! It's really good stuff and it is gentle on skin.
Tip: I just removed super glue on my desk using nail polish remover (acetone) and a cotton pad. It didn’t work when I put on the liquid and then tried to scratch it off with a card; I assume because it just evaporated instantly. I recommend rubbing hard with the same cotton pad, continuously applying the remover it until gradually dissolves.
Acetone definitely works, we formulated our super glue remover to be a thicker formula so that you can put it on the glue and let it sit without worrying about it evaporating like acetone does!

Vaseline works well on the skin as well and it’s not harsh like Acetone, especially if say fingers are bonded together. Let it sit and slowly work apart a bit at a time.
@Thestraykittys Glad it helped. Real nails, once dry, I would just sand it off. If you’re talking painted/acrylic nails, I’m not sure any of these would work without damaging them.
Water will take it off. It is not waterproof.

The use CA instead of stitches so safe on skin. I’ve been using CA since before it became widely available (in the 70's I worked for 3M who supplied it in kits for repairing cables for underground mining equipment)) and am still here to tell the tale.
Studies show that although the cyanoacrylate glue can be useful in emergencies, it can also irritate the skin, kill cells and cause other side effects, particularly when used on deep wounds. We don't recommend it for wound care because there are a safer alternatives.
Will debonder dissolve bakelite?

Super glue works best on human skin. I think it (or something similar) my be used for sealing up wounds/cuts. (I'm serious!)

Hi, I got a little super glue on our quartz countertops in the kitchen - do you know if the debonder is safe to use on quartz?
I've been thru this with quartz countertops and was advised by the company we purchased the quartz from to gently scrape any of the glue off u can using a putty knife or butter knife just be very careful not to accidentally chip ur countertop. Next their recommendation was to use acetone. Aka-nail polish remover! Just put some on a cotton ball or paper towel will work and rub in a circular motion and BAM it comes right off!🤗hope this helped!😊

Acetone works the best
The nut on my electric guitar fell off and I knew I shouldn't use super glue to reattach it, but something like wood glue despite the materiel for the nut NOT being wood because it's a non expanding glue and will be relatively easy to remove it later as the nut will inevitably wear down and must be replaced. I hope one of these work because it was my first guitar and I can't bring myself to get rid of it.
Our debonder should work well for that, it will take some patience, though!
Debonder can dissolve some guitar finishes. Also, it is acceptable to install a guitar nut with CA glue. Pros do it all the time. The issue is, don’t use a lot! Use a couple of pinhead sized dots. You don’t need to cover the whole underside of the nut. Just a couple of dots to hold it in place.

Will the debonder remove paint? I have ca glue residue on a painted surface and am looking to remove just the glue residue.
Debonder contains acetone, so it could possibly remove paint. We recommend doing a spot test before using it on a large area.

I'm trying to glue some anime figures onto my car dashboard. I've used glue gun. It stuck, but the vibration from driving made the figures fell off. So I need something stronger. Would superglue or wood glue work? I also want to be able to remove it in the future, whenever I sell my car.
Be careful using acetone as it may dissolve some plastics and other materials. Always test it first on an inconspicuous area.

Our super glue remover is gentle enough for skin, so it could work, but we would recommend testing it on a small portion of the faux leather first.
Used to be able to buy nitromethane. It would make quick work of superglue. Can't seem to find it easily anymore.

Yes! If the serger has plastic parts, though, you might want to spot test it on an inconspicuous spot because it could remove paint or a finish.
What's the shelf life of Starbond? I bought a kit of thin and thick, as well as a bottle of colored CA. It all solidified in about two months.
It needs to be kept in the fridge. I believe their site says 2 years if kept in the fridge. I have had mine in there probably 6 months and no issues.

There are several home remedies that work - salt, hydrogen peroxide, petroleum jelly, etc, we just wanted to have a product made especially for the job!
No one wants or needs to know what we can "TRY". If you have any knowledge on the subject to share then tell us WHAT dissolves the cured glue.
