    I bought one of these when they first came out. Anything up in the air no problem, anything going away or crossing I couldn't hit for love or money. Sold it on to someone along with a Browning Cynergy on the same day. He took both guns out, shot 25 straight DTL with the Cynergy then straight after 4 out of 25 with the FABARM! Couldn't figure it out at all as it came up perfectly.

    Love your stuff mate...was this one of the step up rib versions? I know they do an interchangeable rib with one coming with the gun marketed at a 50/50 split...if that is the sporter version your shooting I reckon they'd be the same...in which case hard pass from me

    Lloyd, love the candid reviews. I've recently been drawn to the 690 Sporting Black Edition. I know they had some problems at first but that seems to have calmed down now. I know you've not done a review on it it, but is it in the pipeline somewhere? The 725 Sporting and the 690 are close in price here in US, and i'm heavily leaning towards the 690 based on fit and feel and wanted to know your opinions as they tend to be pretty honest.

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  6 років тому

      The 690 is a 692 with a fixed trigger basically. I think its better looking overall but there is little difference in quality. If you can hack the trigger at standard length go for it.

    This review put me off buying a Fabarm. I was really after the RS12 QRR but bought a Miroku ML11 instead.
    However i was lucky enough to speak with two owners of these Fabarm
    Models and see them shoot. They consistently had the best scores in their practice squads and both liked the patterning of their guns. I guess it’s all personal gun fit...

    Hi Lloyd. I Had one of these and I hated it. I thought it was me that was shooting it high but seeing you review this one I'm glad to see it wasn't me. The one I had i found that with the barrels open I was playing with the trigger and I heard a click. Just as I was about to shoot my first clay the gun didn't fire???? I opened the barrel and it ejected the cart. Did you find this happen to you? Terrible gun. Thanks, Malc

    I base my next gun for clay shooting on your and TGS reviews - My problem - I got 3 guns on my hand - all at the same price! I've read all available reviews of this gun and they're very positive.
    Comb adjustment involves an Allen key supplied with the gun and is pretty straightforward.

      Hi Richard, I havent handled one as it happens but I don't think it's sold here in the UK. Having said that Miroku Guns are very similar in design and from what I can see of the Miroku.au site, it looks a lot like an MK 70 with different engraving. I made the mistake of buying one as a ‘different’ Sporter to my usual Miroku/ Browning.
    I took it out twice and then back to the shop. The fit felt good, it handled well.
    I knew it had to go back when I couldn’t hit a static clay on a bank at 20 yds without putting a foot of air between the bead and the clay.
    A very odd setup😳

    Opinions vary.
    Interesting to hear your review. Must say, that it sounds a bit like you from the start chose to put it down. The way you laugh, when you describe the features and performance is absolutely not constructive in regards of taking a review serious.
    Anyway it’s your honest opinion.
    Here’s mine.
    I’ve had my RS 12 for a few months. Shot approx 3K rounds.
    I’m quite new to the shooting scene. But I still manage to shoot and hit with this gun. If I target the clay just above the rib/bead, I will hit the clay on the bottom. If I cover the clay,I will destroy it completely. It shoots straight. I like it that way. Flat.
    The pistolgrip. Naaaahh no problem. I can shoot 200-300 rounds, without ant numbness or stitching in my palm.
    I’ve had a couple of pros from my club shoot it. K 80 guys.
    They like it a lot. Great value for the money they say.
    And as one of them said, it’s almost like my Krieghoff. If you miss the clays, it’s you, not the gun. That gun hits where it’s pointed.
    So I’m really confused you feel exactly the opposite.
    Well, the world is an odd place.

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  9 місяців тому

      My opinion is informed by 35 years of shooting, 7 years of reviewing guns for the channel, and experience of nearly every gun available on the European market. What’s yours?

    • @neggym
      @neggym 9 місяців тому

      @@lloydyp As I said, I’m fairly new in this game.
      But why does that have anything to do with me being able to hit the clay and you not to?
      If it was the other way around, you would have a point. If I can hit going aways, incomers, loopers, crossers and trapclays, then it’s definitely not because of a poor man’s gun with horrible features. It’s because the gun works and I’m slow getting better and better.
      Why you and a few in the comments aren’t able to shoot it, is a bit odd.
      As for your sensible palm vs. mine non sensible palm. I don’t know. Maybe I got tougher skin. Don’t know what you do for a living. But my hands get oily and dirty every day. But you can’t definitely not use 35 years of experience as a valid reason for your palm not feeling like a baby’s bottom, after you shot it.
      Furthermore if it was as crap to everyone as it is to you, it would have been destroyed by the american shooters. Fabarm is big in USA. For a reason.
      Enough said. Cheers.
