That actually doesn't fix the problem. You should show us how it works when you start the engine with that new wiper switch. I'll think the problem was not gone. I have done this same job and double check everything is right. Finally situation was same, wipers works well when ignition is on, but when you start the engine wipers won't stop on 0-position. So check the wiper arms and motor, is there any rust on contact and replace extra ground wires. And calibrate arms to zeropoint,this means the motor should not back over itself when arms are going on zeropoint. If this is ok, check the relay contact and also rear wiper motor or motor contact, that might also be bad contact and it make harms.
You can make the trip computer work with the appropriate cluster and adding the missing wiring. I did that on mine, which also had only 2 wires on the secondary wiper plug.

S K make sure you disconnect battery before removing steering wheel as there is the airbag is in wheel
