@@astrabula329 Hi there, I'm not sure of your level of experience with cameras or if you know what each button and settings does, or if you are experienced and if something is wrong with your camera and the zoom just won't operate. Just in case I'll link to Nikon's download center for the manual and quick start guide: downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/495/COOLPIX_P1000.html Anyway, up in front of the shutter button is a lever that you can slide left and right - left for a wide field of view and right to zoom in. Also, over on the left side of the camera lens body there is a T/W button that also does the zooming but at a slower rate. Do either of those work for you to zoom in on anything? If they do move the lens to zoom, then you'll notice how difficult it can be to keep something in frame when so far zoomed in - with just the slightest touch you can lose whatever you were aiming at. A good sturdy tripod and video head are needed and a remote also so you don't have to touch the camera to snap a photo when zoomed in. If all that is working and you're wanting to film a planet, I use manual settings and manually focus in Movie Manual Mode, to give me full control over settings. Well now, that's a tough question. I adore the zoom on the Nikon P900 & P1000, but both cameras have limitations. For video on the P1000 while filming the sky at night, it has a limited ISO range, also I need the ability to change the ISO on the fly during recording, but can't with using the record on the camera itself (but I can when not using the camera's recording function and instead recording on the Ninja). I'm also not fond of the picture quality & color I get with the P1000 when filming the sky, either in raw or jpg, so I much prefer using the Canon 80D for still photos. For zoom range, the P1000 wins, for photos and better menu and settings control, the Canon. I'd love to get the Sigma 60-600mm lens for the Canon and see how well it matches up with the P1000, even though it still won't reach the zoom range, but it costs $2,000 (yikes!). I love the Canon and adored the Nikon D500 dslr too, though only had it a few days.
When I was little I had a huge fascination with Saturn and to this day I still think it's the most beautiful. Warning: headphone people at like 7:30 there's a loud boom.
You should get with SuperZoom Videos and do a moon comparison video, you showing the moon from the North and him from the South. That would be cool. What would be interesting is the timing of when he records and when you do yours, your time zones are different. Better yet, if you can see it during the day, can he see it at night at the same time?
Different time zones. That says it all. If one person can see it on daytime then night time due to time duration. Surely it is the same from her seeing it at day and him at night or vice versa.
I'm glad you had a chance to see it. Last night they were 'next door neighbors' which was cool to see, but the clouds rolled in and I couldn't get much footage of them. Clear skies to you :)
This is absolutely stunning, I feel this narrative voice could be used for the narrator of a documentary about the solar system, qlso you are very good with a camera.

@IGER Television So. Give me a model that exactly proves each natural phenomenon and can be calculated. This must include lunar eclipses, tides, different stars, the reason why we do not see America from Europe, tectonic plates, solar eclipses and different weights depending on where you are on the planet. In addition maybe why other celestial bodies move around others. The globe model includes everything in a single model. For the flat earth you need at least 10. Based around evidence of course.
They made a movie where there was a tiny galaxy small enough to be worn on a cats collar. There must be some truth to that. Are galaxies tiny water drains that are closed up?
Lmao. You must be talking about MIB. That's just movie. The concept there is that size is relative or irrelevant with all the mysteries and conspiracies. He even kicked the door and they're in a locker with giant aliens. Go figure.

That's absolutely incredible that you can see the rings on both planets and all the craters on the moon too. I love it. When someone like us shows us pictures it really helps us understand that those things are just hanging out in space..... 😮 Thank you.
Hello there, the settings can change depending on which camera is used and the time of night, etc. Basically I oftentimes start out with a high ISO to find the planet, and then once found manually adjust the ISO back down to a lower number, sometimes 200, 400 or 800 ISO, and then adjust the shutter speed to either darken it up or lighten it, possibly around 1/80 or 1/60 here in this video for Saturn (probably faster speed like 1/100 for Jupiter), and then manually focus the lens to get it in the best. You kind of just have to test and see which settings work out for you with your equipment. If they're still blown out, adjust the shutter speed to a faster number until it comes in nicely. Good luck to you. :)
No matter how many times I see Saturn it still amazes me ♥️

That’s so awesome how you can see the rings of Saturn so easily and their so thin but very wide
Saturn is so amazing to see :)
Sooo amazing what is out there❤️
You're so right - the wonders above are truly amazing. :)
It's just amazing ❤❤❤
Thanku. Could you tell me Which camera do you like better amongst others?
I love the view of planets that you showed. Thanks so much for showing the beauty of space.
You're very welcome and thanks for watching the sky along with me :)
When I was little I had a huge fascination with Saturn and to this day I still think it's the most beautiful. Warning: headphone people at like 7:30 there's a loud boom.
Saturn and its rings amazes me too - I love to see it :)
@@Jayling 💕
You should get with SuperZoom Videos and do a moon comparison video, you showing the moon from the North and him from the South. That would be cool. What would be interesting is the timing of when he records and when you do yours, your time zones are different.
Better yet, if you can see it during the day, can he see it at night at the same time?
Different time zones. That says it all. If one person can see it on daytime then night time due to time duration. Surely it is the same from her seeing it at day and him at night or vice versa.
Close but no cigar. Beauty phrase lady. I just love your videos and commentary.
I'm glad you enjoyed it - and thank you :)
This was actually my first time seeing an actual planet (Jupiter) with a naked eye. I saw it yesterday by the moon thinking it was a star.
I'm glad you had a chance to see it. Last night they were 'next door neighbors' which was cool to see, but the clouds rolled in and I couldn't get much footage of them. Clear skies to you :)
The Commentator I thought I was going crazy lol!. God I love astronomy!.
You have the most beautiful, calm, soothing voice! Love it! Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, Tony, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
OMG INCREIBLE CAMARA
Just imagining what it would of been like to be the first person to see these and just think *WHAT?*
Galileo might have felt that way after seeing the moons of Jupiter for the first time. The four biggest moons are Ganymede, Io, Callisto, and Europa.
looking at planets makes me believe in God.
good joke.
WEABOO TRASH 天夜叉 tell me this all came by chance, and I’ll laugh
I wanna catch angels with telescope
TEMP BEES HAS A SMALL COCK
Piløt Congrats.. his joke flew over you like a jet
So cool thanks for the great video :]
You're very welcome, and thank you right back :)
This is absolutely stunning, I feel this narrative voice could be used for the narrator of a documentary about the solar system, qlso you are very good with a camera.
Thanks so much, that's very kind of you to say. Take care now and have a lovely day ahead. :)
Wow - those stacks of Jupiter and Saturn are especially spectacular! It keeps getting better and better!
Thanks, Edmund, I'm so new at this stacking but hope to keep improving :)
Cool video.See you again.thankyou.
You're welcome, Rex, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
What do you think about doing some star trails on a clear night? Can you do one facing North, then South, East and West?
I second that request...
Star Trails sounds great!
cool. i did not guess it was possible to see the moon like this through a camera.
Camera & lens technology nowadays is amazing. :)
Thank you...for your work
You're very welcome, Jenny :)
Pleassseeee make more! :) It's so relaxing and mindblowing to see. Love your voice and the footage you have taken! Thank you!
Thanks so much, Rafi. We've had terrible weather and sky conditions over here lately so there hasn't been anything to see or film - hopefully things will clear up soon. :)
this month named Dhul Qa'dah in the arabic Lunar months, very amazing video thank's so much
Very soothing voice and the video just makes me want to keep saving up for a p1000
Thank you, I'm glad you find it pleasing. I hope your wish comes true for the camera. :)
Waaaw that is so perfect thank you so much 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
A little zoom more and you'll see the Moon landings! :)
Moonlanding never happened, the earth is flat how can 400.000km moon can be zoomed ?,and it's clear to see
@@start2957
Let him find the end of the earth, then. The end point, which they say, if a person crosses the point, he'll fall into "space", or hell? 😛
To be extremely honest, I thought people like him love to make fun. I thought they were just kidding about all this "flat earth" things. I didn't know they were actually serious.
@@farwahbatool6247 hell give them a jet so they can make it faster we dont want people like them
@@start2957
🤣 Same here!
Actually everything is flat because we are in the first dimension
I can just listen to your soothing voice for hours. Good work with cameras and equipments too. You've juslt got yourself a new subscriber now. Respect from England.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Welcome over - and hello to you across the big pond. :)
These zoom vids make the planets feel a lot closer
They are a lot closer
Astronomy has ALWAYS fascinated me. This is by far my favorite video about it. Knowing that those tiny spots in the sky are more than 100x larger than Earth and millions to billions of miles away from our home planet is insanely fascinating.
You're right, all those uncountable shimmering lights up there strike me with awe. Watching the sky is so fascinating. :)
It is really really amazing thing which I saw on youtube today. Thanks!
You're very welcome - I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Hello from Russia 🇷🇺!!!! I liked this video 🤙🏽
Well hello way over there! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks :)

Great video thanks for posting. I’m very fascinated with the moon I wish I had moon dust I would be in heaven
Thank you. :)
Fabulous moon video with the birds in the back round! Two of my friends saw what I was and there jaws dropped of the equipment your using. As always love listening to you.
I'm so happy you all enjoyed it, Chas - thank you :)
You are a lovely and sweet person!!! Its 2 am night here. Couldn't sleep. Glad to play your video with sweet voice!!! Just loved it!! God bless you. Much love. From Pakistan
Thank you, I hope you have a pleasant and restful sleep. :)
@@Jayling I definitely had a great sleep. Thank you so much!! Peace and love!!
You look at stuff like this and start to wonder why flat earthers even exist smh🤷🏽♂️
Devolution of man in progress my guy. Idiots like that kinda make me want to support eugenics, lmao
They are trolls and everyone knows it
You the only one who didn't get love in your comment dude lol do you think it's bc you black
@@slavicnordic6372 I noticed as well smh.
This makes you appreciate the amazing moon you see everyGOD DAMN DAY AND NIGHT-EXCEPT ECLIPSE BUT NOT REALLY.
This is beautiful
Thank you :)
Nice video. The way you talk is very good. And please make a video on Andromeda galaxy. It is also visible with naked eye
Thank you :)
Saturn looks sooooo amazing thats amazing to see thank you sooooo very much i love your videos !!!
They made a movie where there was a tiny galaxy small enough to be worn on a cats collar. There must be some truth to that.
Are galaxies tiny water drains that are closed up?
A galaxy is made of billions of stars. Not likely
Lmao. You must be talking about MIB. That's just movie. The concept there is that size is relative or irrelevant with all the mysteries and conspiracies. He even kicked the door and they're in a locker with giant aliens. Go figure.
Cool cammera, i want it one, see u vedio from Laos
That's incredible. Like you are on another planet...
I m in love with ur voice ..
Saturn is one of the things i need to see with my own eyes. Me and my brother are going to buy a telescope to see the planets we always wanted to see! So maybe my wish will come true
I hope you and your brother will be able to get your telescope soon - great viewing to you. :)
That's a well relaxing voice this lady has
Thanks so much :)
Here before 1M views
Awesome video keep up with the good work 🔝🌍🌝🌚
lol! I kinda doubt this video will take off like that but I guess ya never know. Thank you. :)
Hahaha
Absolutely CRAZY camera...
I agree with you! The mega-zoom lens on the P1000 is insane. :)
Antares
That's absolutely incredible that you can see the rings on both planets and all the craters on the moon too. I love it.
When someone like us shows us pictures it really helps us understand that those things are just hanging out in space..... 😮
Thank you.
You're very welcome - I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
This is honestly so cool
I'm glad you liked it :)
You do so excellent.. Please tell me the setting in camera for gazing them . Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳
