You know, I generally watch and review films of the 40's and 50's, but you know what, it's time to take a step back to the wild pre-Hayes code 1930's era to take a look at the film Palooka, from 1934. Palooka was a comedy film directed by Benjamin Stoloff and starring Stuart Erwin as the character Palooka, along with Lupe Velez and Jimmy Durante, and it was based on the comic strip by Ham Fisher. Going into this I knew virtually nothing about the Palooka character, so this was a great learning experience for me. I'll give a summary of the film, spoiler free, and then offer some closing thoughts.

Palooka (1934) was a fun boxing-themed comedy. But now I've got boxing on the brain. Think I should do a review of Rocky (1976)? Is 1976 far enough away to be considered an "old movie"?
The Rocky movies are great to watch between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They all seem to be set in November-December.
Jimmy Durante”s Character named “Banjo “ in the movie The Man Who Came To Dinner is great, he plays the piano and sings . Another Christmas movie with Durante is “The Great Rupert “ involves a squirrel. Check them out .! I say go for it 1976 was along time ago now lol❤😂🎭🎞
