There are some bits of slightly dodgy audio when one of us is talking from behind the camera (sorry!), if it's too quiet for you please hit the CC button for subtitles ❤
I can only describe it as: it feels like we’ve been doing this FOREVER and also like it’s been about 5 minutes, and also I feel exactly the same as in London AND like a completely different person. 😂
@@krisatomic it's another chapter or even greater in as much as it's another novel - I thought I could never leave Kilburn and here one is as you say, strangely beyond unwittingly removed yet somehow just up the road or rather cut... as you were 😁
I see you post a video and it is like I am gifted a virtual pass to a documentary film festival. I get frantic, having to get snacks and beverages lined up, and make sure the dog has done his business so I am not disturbed. This was great. For some reason Tesco left the US for the UK 😢 You two have the best one liners. Andrew’s “We’re not special” and your “Dogs are millennial now” and a host of others. Love the split screen and the dreaminess of the filming, even in slo mo. Your editing is amazing. The last scene with the swans….perfection. The question is, how long is your boat 😂 I love that it still amazes you. I can tell you it is longgggggg, whatever angle you look at it, and you two make it look so easy to maneuver. Matilda looked very comfortable, although her head looked like she was able to turn it 360 degrees 😮. Thank you for all your hard work. 😊🤗 Kathy
It's very rare that I comment on UA-cam videos but I have BINGED yours over the last few days. They're so comforting and cozy to watch and the artistry is incredible - the nature shots make me feel emotional because they're so beautiful. Seeing the country through your lens is a joy. I'm shocked you don't have more subscribers!
Well that was wonderful. I loved the way you took all of us along for such a pleasant trip. Matilda has to be the most relaxed cat I’ve ever seen. She was so chilled out in your carrier. Tesco looks marvelous and what can I say about the swan family. Just lovely. Safe travels till next time. Oh, by the way, last summer was really rainy over here in the states as well. Some of my poor plants actually started getting moldy from the rain and the humidity. Yuk! Awful. Be well
No, we were cruising in the same area for a bit for various reasons, but it wasn’t for very long. We moved on in the next vlog! As a continuous cruiser you have to get a certain number of miles under your belt, but it’s over the period of the whole year of the license.
It turns out that Pork pies totally deserve the slow motion gravitas. They're all I can think of now. Which is handy because it takes my mind off the slow motion cow pooping. Pork pies... pork pies... pork pies.... is my mantra today. It's a shame I'm in Europe and very unlikely to cross paths with one! You're very lucky to have each other and your super long boat.
I thought with the very first few of your video ''Well, that cannot get any better'' but I'm obviously wrong! Each is such joy to view as clearly somebody with a photographic mind is behind it not only for the recording but more so in the editing of these. Enjoy every one of them greatly!
Your cat in a bag, that made me smile, she didn't look bothered at all. I must say I do like your photography. Please don't take this the wrong way, I love your description of the animals You See, it's like a young child seeing a cow for the first time. Keep filming, Regards to you both. Cheers Millysue
Lovely clips there! Swans eating ants! That cafe boat has been closed btw as they were doing some work on it. I’ve left braunston today and gone down the south Oxford. I’m in the middle of nowhere with better internet connection than braunston 😅
I think I know where you mean, last time we were there internet was amazing. I was pulling about 500+ down on Speedtest. Must be a new 5G mast somewhere, wasn’t that way a year ago.
Well, how long IS your boat? I had a quick squiz in the description but to no avail… This vid was particularly lovely & so have subscribed, though I’m a tad confused because it was filmed aeons ago. 🧐😊
She’s 70 feet ☺️ Thank you very much! I’m on a bit of a delay as we started filming a few months before I got the first vlog out, so I’m constantly working thought the backlog. Maybe I’ll catch up one day 😅
@@krisatomic A 70 foot narrowboat! No wonder you’re in awe 😃 Preparing lunch here in hot, humid Sydney & have gone back to watch from the beginning of your channel, so take your time with your uploads 😉
@@krisatomic Nooooo! please don't catch up. Loved watching the summer vids in the midst of the winter storms. 6/18 month delay is perfect! Delaying release is also very clever, since it reduces the pressure to create content when life dictates otherwise 😊
My wife and I also just got back from grocery shopping. But we’re land locked. The closest we came to a similar ’boating’ experience was punting on a river in Oxford, in the late 1980s when we were in our 30s. Keep on ‘streaming.’
OMG when I was at uni in Birmingham, shopping at the big Tesco every two weeks was my highlight. Even though I mostly went for instant Ramen and Innocent smoothies, it was the best. Your shopping trip sent me right back to this memory! x
Innocent smoothies are SO uni-coded lmao. I really thought I was doing something there health-wise. The strawberry banana innocent smoothie would totally undo the carnage of my otherwise appalling diet. Those were the days 😌
I've been enjoying your Vlog's for a long time. I always found them to be extremely enjoyable! I used my AirPods and found the audio to be ok, except for the silent bits where the microphone was an issue. It's winter here and seeing your vids with all the beauty of nature is such a wonderful experience. Thx to you both. Mark in Colorado
Right - I will try to make this more brief (bieferer) than last week's "book"... great video again and some nice touches (as per usual). Lots to love but head and shoulders has to be 11.13 -- the "triptych" with the bow and flowerpot to the centre and the darkness of the inside of the boat to either side. Just a nice simple shot and.... as any photographer worth their salt would say ..."making best use of the available light". 19-49 and the simplicity and generosity of those free cucumbers validates the fact that there ARE some nice un-greedy people left in the world. Pleasing. Two more things pushed my buttons 1/ The "big up" for the Craft and Art shop in Braunston - non High St, not part of a chain and, as you say, the passion of a passionate person - wonderful. 2/ End credits with "gap" in the copy for the swans to paddle through. Don't get me started on typography! ---- thanks for making Saturday so serene - all the best to you and Andrew. Cheers.
Please, I would be devastated if the comments got briefer, DISTRAUGHT. The art shop hopefully neutralises the necessary evil of the Tesco a bit. Thanks very much as always, it's always so much fun to hear your notes.
It's refreshing to listen to someone who doesn't say for example " it's the furd day of the mumf." Thank you for the subdued music and the interesting dialogue. Good luck for your travels. I'm watching from my armchair in the Philippines.
…As Per, entertaining, stylish and well shot as ever!! 🤗. Andrew’s slow mo looking at you demolish the pork pie was the stella moment!? 🤭 Also, I was going to say hello today, as I noticed you moored up(canal was high, lock closed)…engine running etc…but I didn’t want to bother ya!? I’m assuming you’re stuck moored up due to the high water levels etc? 🥴 We were visiting our son in ‘that’ town taking a stroll along the canal with a coffee of course! ☕️…check out the little independent coffee shop in town!! 🍰☕️👍🏻. And yep, your boat is long…stylish looking for sure and has lovely moor-side presents! 🤗 Anyhow…hope you move on soon, canal was high though..take care and look forward to more stylish vlogs soon enough..😘…!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment and also for being so thoughtful and not naming the town ❤️ yes, stuck because of lock closures! It’s been constant for the last couple of weeks, so much flooding 😩
That is the British weather for you some sun then a lot of rain . Well you need water in the canals to keep on the move. And yes you will need to clean that roof a lot . Plus the weed hatch has to be done a lot at parts of the year as well. Life on the canal.
Another gorgeous vlog, dreamy! Thanks for the art shop top tip! I'll be down that way in May (hiring from Calcutta) so I'll definitely pop by. Very much looking forward to that!
We are planning time on the cut this year.. can’t wait to take it all in.. ❤ Beautiful nature, steering the boat , emptying the dunny and of course the trips to Tescos and Greggs 🥧 👌😎🇬🇧

Hi Kris
When negotiating the barrier, you could go straight and simply push/pull the trolley under the barrier instead of zigging around it
Or you could try the " Harry Potter" approach and just ram it and hope for the best 😂

Lovely film with a dreamy quality-thank you. Kingsolver-a genius. I loved The Poisonwood Bible. Just started Demon Copperhead......
The Poisonwood Bible is on the list! Hoping to find a second hand copy on my travels. Thank you!
Sauerkraut, pickled gherkins, Nissin ramen, Lindt 70%... some good choices there!
