Please react to more Dynazty. They are one of the most underrated powermetal bands in my opinion. Human Paradox, Heartless Madness, Land of Broken Dreams and Presence of Mind are some of their best songs.
@Metal Academix: Apex by Unleash the Archers is about the Immortal, going back to sleep in his mountain, at the end of his journey to gather the four sons of the Matriarch, so she can become immortal via a blood ritual. That being said, this song is one of several where you hear the Iron Maiden influence: The galloping drums, the guitars, and especially Brittney's voice. In this battle, I have to back my bae, Brittney, and her guys, lol.
Thank you guys for new episode! Like for you and for the first song, but disslike for 2nd. I can feel the spirit of the bard's tale in Unleash the Archers! P.S. How about battle of the "No-words song" For example (just for you know what I mean): Iron Maiden - Losfer Words, Iron Maiden Genghis Khan, Rhapsody of Fire - Labyrinth of Madness (frozen tears of angels bonus track), Running Wild - Siberian Winter, etc. I mean there is a lot good songs without any lyrics and thankfully to you we can discover new for ourselves.
I have been also contemplating this idea since the epsiode with Yngwie vs Unlucky Morpheus. It takes some work to find two songs with musical similarities, something that is reasonable to compare. Good idea, I will think about it - Anamaria
I kind of would like to choose Dynasty because I like the screams and aggression, and I feel like the Apex concept really fits with the style of the music. I love the vocal layers! I don’t care for the acoustics or extensive repetition in the chorus of Unleash the Archers. I love Britney Slayes’ vocals. I love long Iron Maiden like story type songs. I just felt like the song was a little too long not for narration but for a repetitive chorus line. However, because the song from Unleash the Archers sticks in my head compared to the song from Dynasty; I am choosing Unleash the Archers. I also don’t care too much for the maybe synthesized sound in Dynasty. I like a more raw feel to the music.
I've heard both songs, when their respective albums have been released, however neither of them did stuck with me, so I was going into this pretty unbiased. I also like both bands. I'm with Michael on the topic that I'm not too into political stuff in metal. It doesn't bother me that much as I'm not a native english speaker and often the lyrics just go through my ear, without really paying attention to them. With that being said: I'm going for Dynazty, but it was a close call. For me it boiled down to their song being much more dynamic and energetic, whereas UTA was pretty much a standard song, that I expect from them. Just overall I think Dynaztys songwriting is a notch better. But it was a close one. Edit: in case you do a Dynzaty reaction video, here are some great songs: Starlight from the Renatus album, Untamer of the Soul & Keys to Paradise from their IMO best album Titanic Mass.
I think I would have picked a song off UTA Abyss to compare to Dynazty, musically. I really liked the Dynazty song and was pleasantly surprised that I really liked their singer's voice. Full disclosure a band would really have to bring it for me to pick them over UTA - but Dynazty held my attention and I'm going to explore them more now as I enjoyed listening to them. I should add that when UTA crafts a song such as over the last two albums their music is telling a story so it matches the scene being told - that adds a level of difficulty and makes one song very different from another. The Wind That Shapes the Land off Abyss is really striking in this way.
I too don't really like metal songs that critique modern society and instead prefer songs about wizards and dragons and magic and such 🪄✨ pretty much anything by Rhapsody of Fire. lol

I might have to check out more of Dynazty. I really enjoyed the singing & guitar solo, and the riffs were good.
UTA LOVE THE POWER RIFFS AND BRITTANYS VOCALS

The word for songs with no lyrics is "instrumental".
i like both songs
I only know of Dynazty from the Amaranthe connection. Haven't really listened to them though.

@MetalAcademix - Battle of the Bands suggestion: RADIO TAPOK vs Sabaton in Defence Of Moscow (original song by Radio Tapok, both versions have videos)
Please Listen to☺
Call of sirens-rückkehr der todespfälzer

Glad that you liked Nils Molin, and the Dynazty song!
Dynazty for sure
Both songs are very good ! great choice by the way, however I like Brittany´s voice too much
Cant pick this one both are cool as long as its metal im happy my swing to unleash the archers more she seems more powerfull give 10

Dynazty songwriting is definitely way better, especially guitar solo and vocals.
Anyway UtA's Apex is also good
Dynazty by a mile.
Unleash the Archers is far better and much more unique. Dynazty doesn't provide anything new within the genre.
What, exactly, is UtA providing that's new or unique? I'll tell you-not a goddamn thing.
Dynazty by a mile. UtA songs are great musically, but their songwriting lacks, imo.
Two way tie for last place.
