Johns voice ! Unreal . This first album is raw energy . The producer George Martin said as the day went on they got stronger and stronger . They did 15 songs in one day live . The song was a hit for Arthur Alexander in the US in 1962 .
One of my favorites from the early days of the Beatles. I've always thought this is one of John's best vocal performances. His voice can just tear your heart out.
I always loved John's vocals. Instead of singing "If he loves you MORE, John sang, If he loves you MO go with him". I never get tired of their r&b flavor from way back in the day.
@@normandavidtidiman9918 I don’t think he’s actually saying Mo. it just sounds like he’s singing Mo. He’s actually saying More but not pronouncing all the letters to make it rhyme with go, know, and so in the 2nd verse. I’ve always loved that about John’s singing style.
I love these early Beatles songs, especially when John was singing lead. They were so talented and I love that you’re exploring these early gems. Please react to “If I Fell” it has incredible harmonies. Thanks Jay 🌺✌️
If I Fell is one of my favorites. The harmony in it makes me want to hear it again and again. i sometimes "fall" deeply under it's spell. 😁. Anna is another good one. It draws mr in, in it's kind of off beat and quirky sort of way.
Recorded on 11 Feb 1963 in 3 takes during the Beatles marathon session which yielded most of the bands material for their first album Please Pleas Me. John changed the parenthetic line of the title (Go To Him) tp (Go with him).
JAY the BEATLES just release the last song today its called NOW AND THEN, an old JOHN LENNON demo they brought it back to life including john's voice with the help from PETER JACKSON, and McCartney and ringo added new sounds, also they added George's slide lead solo from an old session
Heyyy Queen Jayy This Is A Remake Of Arthur Alexander's Song Of The Same Name Recorded In 1962! I Would Love For You To React To That Version Of The Song! Great Reaction Looking Forward For More!❤
This was one of those slow-dance club songs from the early '60s, and by recording it, the Beatles funneled tons of cash into the composer's pockets (Arthur Alexander). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Alexander
Always loved this song...ghis is the song al bundy on matried with children kept looking for in one of my favorite episodes ....he kept singing...".humm hum himmm..hahahaha "
Wow You really did a deep dive this time ~ The "Please Please Me" Album on Parlophone was their very first album with all of them ~ Back when Ringo officially became their drummer ~ Stu Sutcliff left & Paul switched to bass ~ I still have two copies ~ there are songs on there that were never released as a single in America ~ John was always the best at the sad love songs
Arthur Alexander is the original singer of this song and in my opinion he is a very underated artist. If you can you should react to his version of this song.
Hey Jayy, if I may, I recommend reacting to some of Ringo’s solo blues/country album Beaucoups of Blues, if you haven’t already. I know you’ve said he’s your favorite Beatle, and the album is really lovely and touching. All the songs were specially written for him by Nashville songwriters. My personal favorite from the album is Waiting. 😊
Why listen to this cover when you can hear the more soulful Arthur Alexander's original which never got any commercial promotion or air play. Check out his "You better move on" also covered by the Rolling Stones.
Lennon's voice on this is stunning. Love it. Thanx. ✌❤

Finishing with Twist 'n' Shout when John's voice was completely shot.
George and Paul’s harmonies are just stellar.
One of my favorites from the early days of the Beatles. I've always thought this is one of John's best vocal performances. His voice can just tear your heart out.
Lennon had a most magical tone😢🤘❤️
I always loved John's vocals. Instead of singing "If he loves you MORE, John sang, If he loves you MO go with him". I never get tired of their r&b flavor from way back in the day.
Why's he singing "Mo"?

I think this was in the funniest episode of married with children.
It was...that's the hum hum himm song hahahaha
It’s one of favorite songs! I sing it at the top of my lungs every time ❤
One of the Beatles best covers.
Great cover
Should be listened to in MONO
Came here for the Beatles, stayed for the tea you always serve 😅 Love your commentary on these love songs from the '60s.
Remember they recorded these live!! No additons or tricks, just a little reverb added.

George didn't play the slide lead. Paul did in George's style. George did play rhythm on it though.
Love that song 🎉
Heyyy Queen Jayy

Arthur Alexander also did Soldier Of Love
Original, written and performed by Arthur Alexander 1962. Due respect to The Beatles, highly recommend original 🎸

I absolutely love the early Beatles in mono. It's what my ears are used to.

This is the song Al Bundy couldn't remember! All he could remember was hmm, hmm, him.
