this is really nostalgic to me. i used to play the shit out of this game when i was younger, yeah the graphics are horrible, the races are sometimes so easy, but this game's music, cars and the customization, and police chases are something i will never be able to forget
Graphics at that time was bloody good and the fact it is good enough to play even now. Don't know what you are on about. I just wish the police chases were more difficult and you could change difficulty for police chase.
Well a K9 unit is a police dog so the cops in Tri-City Bay trained some dogs back at the precinct to become their wingmen. Or should I say, wingdog? Haha. But anyway, they will still attack you on that cutscene if you are attempting to escape using a Rhino and another SUV unit T-bones the SUV that the player was in. And then he got attacked by an attack dog.
Dispatch: okay, heads up guys. Federal units are en-route. State units are clear to fall back and monitor when they get there. State unit cop: negative that. I think we got it covered pretty good right now. We'll let you know if that changes. Dispatch: well that's the word from HQ. *(a few seconds later)* Federal agent: 10-23 with pursuit. State units, fall back. We're taking over. Dispatch: attention state units, you guys gotta fall back out there. Repeat, fall back.
One thing that would make Undercover much better was devs not being rushed by EA to release the game at the date NFS time cycle used to go. I wouldn't had cared if it took more than 1 year because game would had felt like triple A title if BlackBox was given more time to properly develop NFS Undercover. Hopefully, new NFS might be awakening of Undercover being properly finished with adequatue physics, car list, customization and more. Keep the police system as it was in Undercover and there we go.
they had like 3 years. Many people don't like UC for its engine. I'm not sure one more year would change something. They created a very big city, but this engine.... Also those large roads, they are too large. And they could add more classic races (drag, drift, tollbooth, lap knockout, probably URL and street X from UG 2). Despite this, there is a big choice of cars so I guess I will play it again.
@XBGamerX20 it's actually a bit different in some areas. For example : spike strips were always on the right side of the road block in mw and carbon. In undercover its randomized.
Despite Undercover being the worst game in Black Box era, the cops in this game are underrated. I mean, if you are in lower heat levels, they immediately spawn from Civic Cruisers, to State Cruisers, and Federal Cruisers in just a few minutes. The chopper can spawn early compared to MW 2005, and I like that. The busted scenes in this game are brutal, cops don't know that you're undercover when they realized you we're an undercover cop at the end of the game when Keller tells you that you did a good job of recovering the evidence for your hard work.
That's because the cops are actually dependant on your wingman level. The higher you get the more violent the police gets even at low heat levels. Heat levels only determine how often police cars spawn in free roam.
This is so nostalgic to me I used to play the game hours. The chases were my favorite because of the music just wished the game had a difficulty setting or adaptive difficulty
People always complain that the police pursuit is not intense as nfs most wanted, but I think that can make sense as per the title and context, if some people in persuit know that I am a undercover cop then they will be less desperate to catch me, else if I am a convict on blacklist they will be more desperate to catch me. So that makes sense of the intensity of persuit is less in undercover than Most wanted.

It's funny when the dispatcher gets smart with the officer.

Because money over development
Love the car damage model in this game
This was the best nfs ever. I missed going into construction zones and hitting shit over to disable police.
This is exactly what I needed after a long night shift at work 👍 good footage 😎
Nice run !
I recently had a run like that for 18mn, i caused 410 000$ of cost to state and wrecked *97* cop cars xD
