@@crypted7313 I actually solved this issue that same night, but I just got a response from you after nine months! 😄 The solution wasn’t reducing the scale of the cube. The correct fix was pressing Ctrl + A and applying both the scale and rotation.
3:09 That didn't work for me... What you need to do is go to your rounded shape that you want to use. Then you right click, and convert to curve. Then you can use it with the eye dropper.
That's probably because you added a mesh circle and not a bezier circle. They look similar, but the mesh circle is a geometric object and not a path, that's why you had to convert it.
when I go to extrude after mirroring it, they both go right. What I would like, is for one side to go left and the other side to go right. I'm trying to make a tire and my tires Tred runs the same way it's not a left and right sided tire Tred. if you know what I mean all I want to do is make the perfect Coker 520 tire and my Tred runs the same way but when I add a mirror my Tred ends up left and right, but let's say I got the Tred to be the right way now when I extrude it both sides go right instead of left and right need some help with that Thanks
Epic tutorial. I gather this is the only way. Or are there many ways to skin the cat? Because originally I thought one would model it the other way around and do a shrinkwrap?
NGL homie u move kind of fast lol. I'm sure this is all second nature to you. I'm just starting out trying to mod Assetto Corsa so my question where or how do you recommend starting to learn all of this. Is there a course or something I could take? How did you start?
im in the same boat dude... I started by making maps for skater.xl on blender, learned from videos like these. textures, tools ect... now doing bits in assetto. trail and error... i started with spoilers and exhausts before trying this, maybe check out a couple of those videos? helped me get more comfortable, still no idea what im doing half the time tho lol
I apologize for the criticism, but have you considered using tire and rim photo references? The current result doesn't look realistic. The scale and sizing seem off. The real tread patterns are much more complicated, and it's challenging to use an array modifier to repeat a small portion of the real pattern. Nonetheless, I appreciate your content.
be sure that before applying your array modifier for the rim to apply the rotation and scale with ctrl + a or you might get some weird stuff happening
i was breaking my head when found this comment ! thx bro !
apply the rotation and scale with ctrl + a = TO THE EMPTY BOX?
Thanks buddy got it
thanks you saved my life
Thanks bro! you saved my whole life!!!!
The best Make A Tire & Rim tutorial seen so far !
why is it not selecting the circle with the curve tool
Make sure your using a bezier circle.
had a prob with this, but when u do shift + a, instead of mesh > circle do curve > Circle
10:07 its not working as seen, its getting back side and it is very big in size
me too
I have the same problem for me too
@@jasonmytv4755 press ctrl+A and apply all transforms
it means you need to reduce the size of your cube in the middle

Thank you for speaking at the speed of light while rapidly editing the object
i am a blender noob and could still keep up
I mean you could always slow the playback down to your speed
10:10 when I use object offset and select empty the 2nd one originally in the array dissapears

6:35 when i go into edit mode then the plane is flat and not round i dont know what to do

Great tutorial. Thank you! 🙏🏻

perfect video
10:07 when i repeated it, did what it was supposed to, but each spoke got smaller as it repeated

Thank you very much

i cant get the curve modifier to select the circle, ive tried so many times. any ideas?
Make sure your using a bezier circle.
10:07 MY ARRAY ISNT ROTATING THE PIECE LIKE THAT..... NEED MORE DETAILS
use the empty circle instead, it worked for me
Even i am facing the same issue neither it works with circle.
It didn't work for me either
Just realized you have to apply transform on the plane (rim) shape.
Guys I have a solution just apply all transforms by pressing ctrl A
MANY THANKS
apply ctrl+a / All transforms to the plane (rim)
thanks

Your feedback is very good, as it definitely can help one in making a more accurate model. 👍 Cheers
