We just hit 2k views on this video! I know it mightn't seem like a lot but from someone who's tried and failed at many UA-cam channels in the past, it feels pretty unreal to have this many people watching the very first video on this channel! Thanks for watching, and please do stick around, I think you'll like what we cover next!
Journey, Shadow of the Colosssus, Terraria Among my favorites and pretty flawless, off the top of my head. Similarly, my _favorite_ Ghibli movie is Howl's Moving Castle, but the most _"flawless"_ Ghibli movie to me is Spirited Away.
Yeah 100% insanely good games. It’s often really difficult to distinguish a flawless movie from something you like, and what’s even harder is when you don’t like something that is relatively flawless. Howls moving castle does go insanely hard though and if it’s not flawless it’s pretty damn close!
Terraria is no where near a flawless game. If I have to use a wiki a significant amount just to learn how to play the game effectively, it is not flawless.
Fantastic video. I was going to queue up the rest of your videos to play in the bg, like I do, but this is the first one?! The hell? Very impressive. 👏 👏
I quit trying to define or even considering a game perfect xD About a month ago I found out Deadlink. As someone that loves roguelikes, but also enhanced movement, fast paced first person shooters, Deadlink should be my favourite game! It checks all the boxes and slaps a cyberpunk setting on top! For me, it's theoretically perfect. In reality, it's an incredible game, but I got bored after 30h and around 25 runs... And been playing Geometry Dash the most, which checks 0 of my "ideal game" standards xD so imma go FK IT mode and say "Tetris is undeniably the best game ever!"
5:46 Ah, yes, 2 great roguelikes, sure do hope the communities don't argue about which one is better for hours on end... That being said, Nuclear Throne better :)
i think myself right now would be The Binding of Isaac, considering it's near infinite replayability and sweet modding scene as well, i've already got 100 hours on it and I'm getting started
Another great video. In the past I'd say "games are worth whatever the market will allow" but after spending 500+ hours in Hollow Knight, I'll say that masterpiece is criminally under priced. Still though.. effort should be taken into account dont you think? Vampire Survivors was priced so low because it was developed quickly with minimal effort. Just because it's popular doesn't mean they should get more money per sale IMHO.
Yeah hollow knight is definitely a steal. Did you mean to comment on the other video or do you mean effort should be taken into account for a perfect game? I personally think effort is all well and good but the process of development won’t make a game better or worse. As for the pricing, I’d say vampire survivors deserves more money. Not just bc it’s popular because as it is now it offers a whole heap of content that might’ve started in someone’s past time but is now being developed with a fair bit more effort. Maybe it was priced fairly on release but not now.
what is the best 3D platformer game that also has some horror that possibly won awards for it's horror and intelligent platforming design having a good recommendations?
thank you for pinpointing what makes games perfect! I agree with these 5 points, and I'll try to keep them in mind while developing my own games :) I always strive for perfection, and dissecting what "perfection" is makes it a bit easier to achieve it (even if it is still incredibly difficult, and time consuming :P) also, HOW IN THE HELL do you have only 50 subs??? I was sure this video would have like 1 million views or something, this is a hidden gem of a channel!
Yeah, I honestly think you don't really need to strive for perfection per se, but just make a really good game that you yourself would play. Feel free to join the discord and share your own games if you'd like a few people to have a look at them (I know I'd love to!). Hopefully with good content, subs will come!
It’s extremely rare for me to have a favorite game, because I usually play just about every type of game and then move on to a new experience real fast. But currently my absolute favorite game is No Mans Sky. The launch was ass, but nowadays It has had many updates and is fire, i constantly think about it and wanna play
Yeah but often those don't really reflect the consensus. Like my game bugTDX has 95% positive reviews on Steam but I know for a fact that everyone who played it didn't enjoy it, and it had a relatively high refund rate.
My favorite games are full of bugs and issues for the most part.. 1. They have one thing in commen: "can i do th...uooo" "Wait. what if I ..."" 2. They are full of love. Little bullshit nobody needs. 3. The Genre nowadays called"Immersive Sims" is more often in my top ten then others 4. A part of them is very old because I guess Im old now or at least seen so. MOST IMPORTANT -> 5. A most favorite is always a little or bigger investment. Its not like a tasty candybar to consume, but more like candlelitedinner for yourself (or more people when it comes to multiplayer). It makes u an offer but the most important part for the best games out there is allways: A little bit its like you have to want to enjoy them. You have to bring good will and be generous about flaws and problems THAT MAKLE YOU FUCKIN ANGRYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! anyway but you have to forgive to enjoy what it has to offer. gBecause its something special and in most cases rare. Perfectly polished games designed with analytik gamescience that allways give and congratulate and skin and bonus and lvl UP ....they ALL SUCK.
1:50 This is where I fundamentally disagree. The flawless fork is the way to go. Perfection can't be matching 5/5 criteria, or having magazines unanimously rate it 10/10. Games can be perfect, yet I doubt it's ever happened. True perfection is really easy to test for. A game is perfect once EVERY possible change makes the game worse. This also implies that if a game has ever been perfect, every patch and DLC drags it down from greatness. All of that seems correct to me. If a shotgun does 57 damage and a patch changes it to 58, only one of these states can truly be perfect. I'm sure we've all experienced an update that makes your gameplay experience much better or worse. That brings us to the conclusion that saying the name isn't enough: you need to supply an exact version number as well.
Is that too picky though? Like, the point in classifying a perfect game to me at least is to catalogue a game that does what it does really well. Unless a game-changing update has come out, I don't think it's worth digging through version control to find the best patch.
I found Enter the Gungeon very boring and I don't understand why people keep referring to that game. Every run feels the same, it's hard and not rewarding, there's very little choice. I played it like 4x more than I should with a voice in the back of my head "I don't get it, I must be missing something, it'll get good at some point". And love indie games, I love pixelart. Definitly not a game I'd recommend to someone who doesn't play games, I wouldn't even recommend it to someone who does.
No, nothing can be perfect, also for the perfect game for me is the Souls game by From Soft (including Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring) and also Armored Core 6
Idk, Minecraft IS a perfect game, imo. I've been coming back to it from time to time for more than a decade, I quickly lost interest in Terraria bc you have surtain goals to complete. (I know there is an ender dragon but i prefer just the survival +sandbox aspect) . I can at least say that Minecraft is a perfect game for creative people
it truly is the perfect game, lacking a clear goal is one of its greatest strength, since the game becomes basically tailor made to each and every player c: for me tho, when it comes to adventure games, nothing beats terraria. while minecraft is the sandbox paradise of gaming, terraria with its limitless content, tons of bosses, weapons and tools feels like a grand adventure, and a great journey for your character as it grows stronger and more capable
@@CubeDeveloper_Games I kinda agree. But I just don't think these two games are in the same category. As an adventure game I would also place Terraria first
Yeah I'd agree. It's a pretty different game to Terraria, and it's incredibly good at what it strives to do - you'd never get those huge servers of people in Terraria because it would feel so much more constricted.
As much as I'm not a fan of Minecraft it really is a perfect game because you set your own goals and the game allows you to do it Also the perfect multiplayer game
the answer is always Hollow Knight. and ironically enough, i never liked Stardew Valley. It just feels kinda boring to me. dev is a gigachad though, bro's made a chonker of a game on his own.
Sorry, but you kinda lost me when you compared Sunset Overdrive to GTA... They're like completely different games. Great video and all but you could've used any other set of games, like you rather play csgo over valorant, not a movement arcade silly shooter to a gta game that have nothing in common. Great video otherwise.
My sincerest apologies. The reason I compared the two is that they were compared a lot on Sunset Overdrive's release, people even labeled Sunset Overdrive as a GTA clone! I definitely agree they have their differences but I think they do target a similar playerbase, despite GTA ultimately being much more mass appeal.
I've been searching for the perfect game for months; much like Hitler's ambition to build the Maus. I want an endlessly enjoyable, infinitely consumable, ethereal masterpiece. Hitler was a fool, and so am I.

Yep, definitely seems that you've had experience before
Listening to all the 5 rules going "huh. Thats persona 5/dragon quest 11"
That's so cool that a game pops into your head during the rules! They must work then!
Great high quality video! Didn't even notice u only had 10 subs
Thanks! I appreciate the support!!
Journey, Shadow of the Colosssus, Terraria

Thanks heaps! First of many I hope!
i've never heard anyone talk about sunset overdrive anywhere online
beyond underrated
Ikr! It got blown off as a mid gta clone and didn’t get the respect it deserved smh…

Lmao thanks! Idm if it’s popular or not I’m just glad people are enjoying it :))
Here witnessing the birth of a new great channel.
I bloody hope you’re right!

Holy shi* this is really good
Thank you heaps!! The support means a lot!
My favorite game is osu! It has an endless amount of songs and the more you play it, the better you get, and the more fun it becomes.
Yeah I love that satisfying gameplay loop. Kinda like GD!
Geometry dash but one gamemode
Can’t wait to see this channel grow #roadto1k
New sub
Thanks! :D
i think myself right now would be The Binding of Isaac, considering it's near infinite replayability and sweet modding scene as well, i've already got 100 hours on it and I'm getting started
Lol it's one of the few games that you can have 1k+ hours in and still have stuff to do, and you're right the modding scene is absolutely killer!

I feel the same way.
I would have to choose the Portal duology.
100%, genre defining stuff
