Hi I just subscribed because you are saying the exact words of why I too have decided to car camp. Solo female but married. Thanks for sharing and I like the set up. Great ideas
I love that you are jumping on the car camping train! I'm a 62 year old grandma and got into it a couple of years ago. I use the cushions from a discarded sofa as my bed and they work great!.
Very cool! I just saw you on Facebook and got to your UA-cam channel here. I have a 2018 Chevy Trax that I would like to do some basic car camping in here in Texas in the fall when the temperature drops to a decent degree. It's almost 100 here now, so it's a no go until then. I need to check my car and make sure that my front seat will fold up like yours did to make room for the bed area. I love what you did with your couch cushions and the general set up. Very inspiring! Keep it up! Thanks for posting and best of luck to you!
Thank you! Yes, this is my temp solution until I can build a removable platform… but that is in the works… 100 degrees is no joke! I’m currently looking at small portable rechargeable A/Cs too, for a hot weather solution, but I’d also have to be next to a body of water so I can take a dip! Thank you for checking my video out 😊
I have a 2021 Trax and am so thrilled to find someone else car camping in a Trax. I’m waiting for the temps in Texas to cool down then I’ll be doing my no build then get to camping.
@@amyandmatilda it’s so hot and humid up here in Michigan, in the 90s… so I’ve been tent camping, not car camping as much… heat stroke ain’t no joke! Fall will be your time! 😊
Thank you for sharing your “why”, I appreciate your honesty. It’s encouraging for me 😊. I just did my first solo car camping trip to do some hiking and push my comfort zone. ❤
@@jaymelisk2962 I’m happy to hear this, it takes a lot to be vulnerable, but I was hoping to find people who feel the same way I do.. I’m happy you are putting yourself out there in nature, and past your comfort zone… because I was there before too! …I can honestly say it gets easier the more you do it 💛💡☯️
I have a 2003 Chevy Tracker. Which is no longer in production. I just came across your channel. I put aboard across my seats, for my bed, but lately I just push up my front seat and have to remove one section f my back seat. The couch cushionsis clever for sleeping.
I also van camp to get out and try to find myself again. I was a SAHM for 22 years and now what do I do ? Married for 25 years and now trying to find ME ! Btw Ohio here. lol. So we are neighbors, kinda. I had a new 2021 promaster that I sold in 2022 to take care of my dad (he just passed 5/2/2024) so I’m really lost now as to what to do. My son turned 20 and moved out (into my dad’s place) so a lot has hit me all at once. I do a little social media and that helps me find others who are dealing with some of the same things. Safe travels and maybe we will run into each other on the road. Take care and btw you got another subscriber #73 I think.
@@shonda___ Thank you for sharing, I totally get where you are come from and I hope you are learning more about yourself every day! @@melencolley I agree it has been hot lately with the storms in the southern hemisphere pushing up the hot air… I camped stealth during July 4th weekend but I did not leave until early evening… 🫠 but try not to get too discouraged, I believe you can do it (if it’s something you really want 😉)!

Fyi, the bottom of the rear seats just pop right out. It gives you a surprising amount of extra room.
