Thank you for giving context, so many people jumped in and were confused until the end. Context pays respect to all the hard work that went into making Constance and the audience appreciates it more.

You know, I think the husband that the grandmother sees, yes, he passed away. I like the interpretation of him representing death coming for her, even if it's a bit dark. But, for me it was her last memory: the grandma doesn't remember her grandson, her son, everyone, even herself, but the last thing she is remembering is her husband. It is kinda the last memory, the last thing she have.

i get what your putting down.. i think the same but the end i feel the heavy is the very rough end of her life and it end softly with her seeing her husband cuz she finally passed away and is finally with him... but thats me hahaha

I conversed with Mike leading up to this video and song coming out and we talked about the new song a lot. He told me “people are gonna love it, or they’re just gonna completely turn on us” because the so g is so different from what they’ve released before. We also talked about where the whole song came from, and he recalled exactly when Courtney got the call her grandmother had passed, and said it was like watching a part of her die in real time.

I take the man to be her husband because he is first seen when she mistakes her Grandson for him outside. And the photograph is Dylan the director's actual Grandmother - Constance.
This gets me because my parents are getting on in years, and I can't see them because they're in Spain and I'm here in England. The thought of either of them developing Dementia scares the Hell out of me more than them dying eventually from some other disease.

it's her husband that has passed some time ago. the heaviness at the end is her in the last stages of her disease. her passing away is shown by the change to softer music and shown by her reuniting with her husband that's passed and she's realizing that she has passed away.
