I lived in Santa Cruz and Felton back in the 90s. I rented a small cabin just a little way up Felton Empire Rd. from the library. I don't recognize anything from the videos. Wonder if that old library is still there? The Santa Cruz beach right across the street from where the Boardwalk amusement park was is all washed out now, I think. I was living there when there was a huge mudslide in the mountains near Felton that killed some people and destroyed a lot of homes. Glad I moved to Arkansas!

Felton Grove is a neighborhood of Felton that is low and close to the San Lorenzo River. It flooded this AM. I know because I got homies that had to leave last night and are now thankfully safe in a hotel but they're left wondering what will they find when they return.... Much love and respect to all of our neighbors.

I had just finished lifting my house up 4 feet, then it flooded four feet, if I had not lifted it, it would totally have submerged my home, the new owners lifted it up even higher, I hope you are ok. thinking of you all these past few days. Lots of memories have come flooding back, no pun intented.

My favorite places under Santa Cruz County are channeling the surface runoff into the water table amid their Karst extent. As usual.
