It has a lot more to do with the pad materials than how close it is to your leg tbh. Even when you are in a post lock (think RVH) where the pad doesn't have anywhere to go, the rebounds on these are more dead than the Bauer and True counterparts.
Warrior's have been the same for generations now. People online just don't understand how strapping can affect how the pad sits on you so they think the newer ones "fit bigger."
I never really noticed a difference with the wing. The old one only got in the way with my Konekt. I am sure people will say they feel the full one on their legs and ankles but I wore one of each leg and didn't have a problem with the longer ones or noticed it. You notice the boot not moving nearly as much as the open one though. The new boot feels closer to how most other pads feel.
Is it my imagination or is the G7 boot back to the G4/G5 style of being straight with the rounded corner, vs the G6 that has a slight angled taper and more square corner?
Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation and couldn't stand them next to each other. Both have a slight taper and they look identical when I stand them side by side each other.

Great video!
Would the “better rebounds” idea be a matter of wearing the pads tighter (which would maybe keep the leg closer to the pad)?

Ah ok - good to know, thanks!
What about compared to the G4s - those rebounds have some zip to them (still using mine lol
Previous to the G5, I didn't wear a Warrior pad since the G2s. So I can't compare the new line to the G4 in terms of rebounds sorry!
the size compared to old versions is the same
thank you for the answer

@@HockeyReviews but you play with the same size as the g6, I play with the gt2 pro and I would like to know if I should take the same size
How dose the shorter wing feel and do you notice any difference? And the same with the 1/2 hing?

What happened to your True set?
Nothing?
Man. Looks soooo thin.
does buddy have a trust fund to support this? not sure hows hes doing it with 11k subs
It is a hobby, if I had a trust fund I'd have a lot better production quality 😂

Nah, I'm good. Spending money on making pretty UA-cam videos doesn't mean the actual quality is good.
