I just traded in a 2014 GS F Sport for a 2017 GS exactly like this one. The only reason I didn’t drive my ‘14 until it reached 150,000 miles is because I wanted all the advanced driver assist features of the 2017, and I was growing tired of the cost and noise associated with the F-Sport brakes, as well as the limited tire options and inability to rotate the staggered wheels. Add to all this the fact that the refresh in ‘16 added HP, refinement to the drive train, and a quieter cabin. It all makes sense.
It’s astounding how many people criticize the appearance of this car, while ignoring that it is, hands down, the best mid sized luxury sedan money can buy. Better than the Germans, better than the Swedes, better than the Koreans, and better than Infiniti and Acura (not really a luxury vehicle). But haters will always hate, and they seem to need to complain here on the internet any chance they get.
I love the appearance. I love the aesthetics inside and out. I love the fit and finish. I love that after 85,000 miles my other one never squeaked, and never needed anything but scheduled maintenance. This is why Lexus holds its value well, while the German luxury cars can be purchased used for lower prices than Lexus.
Back to the appearance; you spend 95% of the time you’re with your car looking out from inside it, not looking at it. Yes, I like the looks of the Audi A6 better, but there’s no chance I would ever buy an Audi, or any other German sedan because they simply aren’t reliable enough after the first few years.

I hear you agree and agree with a lot what you wrote. However had a 2023 GS 350 had 2 previous owners at time of purchase had 55k miles. Strangely enough had a lot of issues worst problem when accelerate cabin would smell like fumes. Brought it to a couple Lexus dealership and they said nothing wrong with the car. Maybe previous owners didn't take care of it properly. I traded it in for a 2015 BMW 535i M-Sport lovrd that car !!!!!! Gave me zero issues up until day I traded it in with 132k miles. At 80k miles I had money on the side as emergency BMW repair fund. I was expecting turbos to go as stated online but never did. Loved that car so comfortable and sporty. It was superior in every aspect to my 2013 GS 350 and go figure even reliability. I think it's imperative to keep up with all maintenance for BMWs not just oil changes. Look up Walnut Blast I had this done on my 535i amazing. Anyhow don't believe everything you hear about BMW and that goes with everything. With that said I love the 2016-2028 GS 350 and prefer the Non F-Sport

Easily one of the best used cars you can buy! I bought a white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport three years ago with 41k miles for $31k after taxes (was $58k new). Now with 71k miles & has been flawless so far as expected. Had a 2017 IS200t F-Sport prior to my GS which I loved & was my first Lexus, but the GS is a huge improvement in every way & is much more than I expected. It's literally the car I've been waiting for for so many years. It never fails to put a big smile on my face every time I drive it. I love how I see few of them on the road everyday since they never sold well sadly. I would easily buy another one, but I would go for the 450h, but they are VERY hard to find. I didn't like that atomic silver color at first, but it has really grown on me & is one of the better Lexus colors.

This was a great walk around and a great overview of the car, but after driving this thing for four hours from Key West to Miami... I can honestly say that I DO NOT like this car. Here's a very long and thorough review of why this car is NOT WORTH IT'S PRICE POINT!
The car drives VERY sluggishly no matter what mode you're in. And it can't decide how it wants to drive in any mode. You drive in normal mode, it accelerates too slow, but if you give it slightly more gas the engine starts to scream like you're trying to get the best 1/4 mile time. The racket the engine and exhaust makes DO NOT match how slow the car actually accelerates when you're not trying to step on it. And when you actually open it up, it doesn't accelerate that much quicker. I went to pass a car that was driving 10 miles under the 55 MPH speed limit and pushed the gas to the floor to pass the car as quick as possible, but it took too long to get from 45 to 55 MPH for me to actually pass the car so I had to brake and get back behind the car.
The multimedia system is alright, but the navigator is counter intuitive. It's so complicated to use that you need to focus on the screen to properly navigate through the menu. Why is it counter intuitive? The whole point of having a navigator is so that it's easy to use and makes it easier to navigate through the menu without taking your attention off the road. For example, my CLA250's multimedia system and navigator are so simple to use that I only have to glance at the screen for a split second to know which menu I'm trying to access. The GS 350's multimedia system seems very cheap and is overly complicated to use.
Then there's the turn signal... how do you fuck up a turn signal?! It's a bit complicated to explain so please bear with me. Hopefully you know how a normal turn signal works and feels on an average car. So the GS 350's indicator is completely non tactile. What I mean by that is, when you initiate the turn signal on the GS 350, it doesn't initiate with that familiar "click" you get when you activate it on a normal car. Also, the turn signal won't stay in that position like it would on a normal car. In a normal car, when you've initiated a turn and then straighten out your wheel, the indicator will automatically deactivate itself with a resounding "click" or "thud". Not on the GS 350! You have to do this manually on the GS 350. So once you've initiated the right turn signal (by pushing up), you need to push down to turn it off. BUT if you accidentally push it DOWN twice to DEACTIVATE a RIGHT turn signal, it'll INITIATE the LEFT turn signal. If you accidentally push UP twice to DEACTIVATE a LEFT turn signal, it'll INITIATE the RIGHT turn signal. It's overly complicated for NO REASON! And I've changed lanes many times and had to make many turns due to redirections and traffic. It's a simple tool, but Lexus found a way to turn something so simple into something that's overly complicated.
And the car does not look good. It's a very ugly car in my opinion.
The one thing that I can compliment on is the comfort. The leather seats are VERY soft and very cushiony and won't make your ass or back sweat on long drives. There's A TON of room in the car and feels very spacious. The handling is good if you can get over how horribly it accelerates and shifts.
Overall, this car is not worth the $50,000 price point IN MY OPINION. My CLA250 was roughly $34K with all of it's trims and it drives better than a fully loaded GS350. Sorry, (IN MY OPINION) I absolutely love Toyota and Lexus so I was very upset that this car was an absolute disappointment to me. They should've named the car, "OC 350" for "Overly Complicated 350" instead.

Brian Yong This your personal experience, so many others don't share your view and they actually own the car. I own another Lexus model and I don't have such problems with the trafficating signals. They return automatically and with the Navigation and your issue with ease of use its clear you are a Benz fan and that's what you are used to. So many have no issues with the navigation of this car and its ease of use. Like I said everything u stated here is your own personal experience, the issue you raised with it being slow I have never experienced with my ES. Someone else can drive the cla u gave as an example and have worse things to say.

I like the GS 350, and its updated styling for the 2016 model. They're still going for around $30K so I will have to wait 2 years until the prices come down. So, why doesn't this car come with remote start? Someone help me out here.
