Absolutely ridiculous how good he is. The older I get, the more I genuinely appreciate the talent from bands from my younger years. The shit we all took for granted. Amazing
I had the pleasure of being in this audience. the boys in the cowboy hats a minute in were in the pew in front of us. Then we were off to a local club. Andy did a dj set. Vince leaned against the bar having beers. And we danced with the band ! (to Goldfrapp Oh la la la la) I remember it well !
Still gives me goosebumps....my teens were spent singing along with Erasure....am knocking on 50 s door now and still got goisebumps they are fantastic
One of the most demanding vocals for a male voice in any pop song ever. I was lucky to hear Andy Bell in San Francisco a while back and he didn't disappoint.
omg, the country twang really gives this another dimension! just proves a great song sounds good in whatever genre it is played. andy's vocals had matured really fine
The wonderful thing about music is that it is universal. When there a song is great like this one, with such great performers, it transcends sexuality, religion, even culture. We feel it on a cellular level. We move without conscious effort. We sing along without realizing we are doing it. In music we are all one people. We are at peace. We love one another.
It never ceases to amaze me how flexible Andy and Vince are. It takes a lot of talent and why not, humbleness, to re build their songs from their electronic core to make them sound like real southern tunes to please their audience. I know that deep down Andy also made some concessions given the venue they were playing at but that's what makes them music royalty. The fact that they think of their audience and how to engage with them best rather than thinking that whatever they do they must be worshipped. Another great show Andy and Vince. Hats off to them.
@@johnpratt8652 So did I. My mum bought me tickets for my 18th birthday and I went with my first girlfriend. I recall that Adamski opened, but without the actual singer from KIller, who turned out to be Seal). It was still a great experience though.
I have been thinking that a country cover of this song would be great. Turns out, it's already been done. And by the original band, no less! I love these guys!
Holy shittballs ... that was epic ... i think we in the 80 ties didn't really realize what talent we had in those days. We knew the music was good, but damn all these artists from that era are truly amazing. I guess it needs a bit of time to sink in how truly blessed we were to grow up in that era with all those amazing bands ...
I love that they aren’t completely destroying this song by making it into some weird tech remix to impress today’s youth. This version’s got respect for its original fans; a less frenetic beat, a more nostalgic tone, but just as uplifting as it was for us 30 years ago! 🥰
Espectacular ésta versión! me encantó! no me canso de escucharla, gracias por subirlo. Esta banda es muy especial pues pasan los años y siento que se escucha mejor, gracias !!!
I forgot how magnificent his voice was back in the 80's.... And still is evidently! I gave this Erasure cassette as a gift many times in the 80's... a lot of great tunes on it.
Andy unique voice and vocal range along with masterful song writing by Vince Clarke has made Erasure’s sings so endearing. Brings me back to all the good times in my youth and their concert in Sydney.
Absolutely ridiculous how good he is. The older I get, the more I genuinely appreciate the talent from bands from my younger years. The shit we all took for granted. Amazing
with no auto-tune in sight.
Yeah...I was just thinking..this guy's voice is really damn good.
Just said something similar...
I try to help my daughter to 'appreciate' listening to her favourite songs (bts)...
Yes agreed
The version is very good, it does not lose its essence, its feeling.
That sounds ACE!!!
The background vocals and that savage on the pedal steel are the unsung heroes here.
Like how U2 would use the cow bell...it's sometimes the small things that make things great. . (That's NOT what she said)...lol
What about the guitars?
Brilliant..Andy's voice is still epic after all these years
ua-cam.com/video/JV8Wno90aI0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RobMain
He STILL has the confidence to bring out his best in high style, while not at his youthful peak. Not easy!! Love him!
So his voice has been his real voice, without help from tech for all these years?
Awesome.
yeh, speaking of respect, eh? no freaking x-tunes.
Arguably the best pop song ever
Still gives me goosebumps....my teens were spent singing along with Erasure....am knocking on 50 s door now and still got goisebumps they are fantastic
Amazing how humans connect across the world over the music they listened during their youth and their individual core memories ❤️❤️❤️
Right there with you! I’m just over 50 now and this song puts me right back in the sights, sounds, and feelings of my 20s.
Me too

Makes me miss the 80’s and early ‘90’s
Awesome years of good music!
One of the most demanding vocals for a male voice in any pop song ever. I was lucky to hear Andy Bell in San Francisco a while back and he didn't disappoint.
A qualidade do som e a voz do Andy, continuam impecáveis!!!!! Amo Erasure pra sempre!!!!

Yup, saw the cowboys enjoying the show😉
I sooo wasn't expecting that but IT WORKS!! 💯❤️
Saw Erasure in concert in Manchester in the early 90s. A night to remember
I had the pleasure of watching this show live at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville….and it was glorious.

Erasure with a steel guitar. I’ve seen it all now, but it worked!
I still love Erasure as much as I did in the 80’s. Hopefully one day they make it to Australia. Would be a dream to see them in concert.
I saw them in Milton Keynes back in 1990 I was 17

The slide guitar is fantastic!!!

the pedal steel guitar gave it a new flavor, and i love it!
He still manages to belt it out. Absolutely brilliant vocalist. Love him and the band.
Awesome version! He's taken care of that voice.

My favourite band when I was in my 20’s Beautiful voice!

Nothing but RESPECT for a great singer
I saw a video of him singing in his garden live, and he still sounds amazing, having a voice like his is a gift, one of my favorite performers ever,xx

It’s like an acoustic country version of a wonderful 80s dance song. Love it!
Tenho 47 anos hoje, essa foi uma época mágica minha adolescência .
I listen again and again this song ❤️
WOW..,SO REALLY AMAZING THIS PERFORMANCE ,
increible voice, after so many years look the same voice that was younger in the 80's.
Love the acoustic version!
Very slick and commited performance by Andy, and the pedal steel player added taste and a new flavour to it. Very nice version indeed.
That steel guitar addition is awesome
I adore this. I'm not gay at all, but for someone like Andy i would change my mind.... Him and David Bowie. Thanks Andy for givng people all that joy!

Could listen to this on loop all day😆❤❤❤
Andy unique voice and vocal range along with masterful song writing by Vince Clarke has made Erasure’s sings so endearing. Brings me back to all the good times in my youth and their concert in Sydney.
Okay, this is a truly amazing variation with the autoharp. As usual Mr. Bell is the center of the entire arrangement.
I've never heard it like that, but I love it!
От души поёт!!! Молодец!!!
They really wrote the most beautiful pop song of all time with this song
Agree...the best version I've heard.
This is the first time I've ever heard of them or watched a video. He's incredibly talented
Just perfect! And timeless!
Loving the little country vibe.
Wow, this sounds very good with acoustic guitars.

This is totally awesome! Tremendous talent right here!
Incredible acoustic performance. Love it.
Such a good voice. Met him briefly at the BBC many years ago. Lovely guy.
What an awesome performance of a fantastic song!
These guys are not in my top list but I need to say his voice still remains the same after decades. Good job Erasure!!
Brilliant song, unique voice, huge range and timbre!
Excellent. Love this country music version of the song.. it works well with Andy's voice!
