Main reason Mosa and Megalodon are so disregarded is because of jellyfish, eels and tuso's making them instant death to use if they hit you. Basil is immune to those instant stun/death attacks.

@@FrappaJacks I might use a mega to kill the manta's around a basil, but as for mosa's they used to be my fave water tame but since the jellys and eels came around and filled the oceans and the caves I just find it useless. Its big size and lack of manouverability just makes it even easier for jellys and eels to stun lock it at least with the megalodon i can weave in and out to avoid the jellys.
I’d say the diplocaulus is one of the most disregarded and useful tames for early game underwater exploration. They don’t require a saddle to ride, they provide you with oxygen underwater, and if you get a high level one then they can swim faster than most of the other creatures in the ocean.

Carbos are really good on pvp for soaking turrets! My tribe breeds them a ton with health mutations
megalasaurus were OP for ABB, they NEVER slept there and the glow was just the cherry on top

The Velo dmg does scale the ranged attack but only if mounted also at least for PvP nearly all the dinos listed by you have some kind of use
Sorry Yh I Did Get That Wrong. It's Not That These Creatures Aren't Used They Just Need To Be Used More
