Pterodactyls aren't the ancestors of birds. Birds are descended from theropods (like the archetypal "velociraptor"). The pterosaurs were a sister group to the dinosaurs and so not technically dinosaurs at all. I guess what I'm saying is that it would be worse if it was the actual ancestor of these birds :)
you'd think pterodactyl has landed, so much screaming... lol.... and to those 2 suits - Just leave it alone! WHAT ARE YOU HERDING IT FOR?! The bird is just sitting there...
Really makes you wonder how sick and entitled us humans have become, this bird probably rests here on the headland any other day in its own habitat, it's own home, but not allowed near the place when the humans arrive. How depressing that they can't just let it be and stay, rather finding a need to usher it along and cite it as either a nuisance or undesirable...
The bird must have been sick or weakened by hunger, otherwise it would not have landed this way. The ceremony should have gone on with dignity, the bird left alone, and wildlife protection called in. The hysteria is repulsive.
I’ve gotten pretty close to pelicans surfing down in Florida and they are usually friendly or they will fly away if you move too fast. Maybe they were just frustrated with the amount of sound the people were making.
Same thing happened at my graduation expect for cows, a plane carrying prized cattle was flying way above and had to lighten its load so it pushed two of the cows out but they landed right next to the stage and left a huge crater why everyone screamed in horror
pfft, what are those people screamin about, those are tiny pelicans! now i could understand the reaction if they were the same pelicans we have in Australia, those mfs are twice the size of one of those....now those are a sea bird i wouldn't fuck with lol

No one going to mention how on point this Camera man is? Made this a cinematic experience.
Justa318i He is using a stabilizer like a gimbal or some other form of equipment. Heh, yeah.
Justa318i right?!?! I didn't realize that's how they landed during their first visit!
It would be creepy as hell if the pelicans knew something and was trying to warn us ...
Loud and Explosive Bowel Movements exactly... MIB
I was thinking the same thing.
Justa318i Smooth as silk.
It's a shame that in America of all places, Pelicans don't have a right to peacefully protest. #PeliCAN
"Wait a second.... this is *not* P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney."
DefThrone 🤣😂
I totally disagree with you.
Pelican is like don’t touch me bro.
"yall seen a small fish named nemo? his dad is here and he's looking for him"
I was there for my daughter's graduation and this video captures just a small segment of the pelicans' antics... it was quite entertaining...
Michael Schundler what else happened? Would love to know :)
Nishit Raj it came back about 3 times and kept landing on the same ladies umbrella and wouldn't stop... it was hilarious but also really scary
Christina Land sounds very strange.. like it had a nest over there or something its trying to defend 🤔
This production value is fantastic, holy shit.
Bird just giving them their first taste of the real world
WhoIamIsNotImportant dead 😂😂😂
Pelican lives matter
We need to change our mascot to the Pelicans after this lmao
Cora LovesGlam Yeah, who the heck is Willie the Wave anyway? Give us Peck the Pelican.
I just found out we had Joe the Pelican as our mascot in 1951!! Bring Joe back!
Grant, this is truly a masterpiece. Blessed with the best vantage point
0:31 Pelican: " B, I dare you to try that again"
Imagine the carnage if it was their pterodactyl ancestors instead.

Jacquobite Shut up nerd
Jim Norton's Alcoholism ooh nothing like an insult from an undignified buffoon :)
Pelican: “Bruh don’t touch me.... bruh I said don’t touch me” lol
It would be creepy if the pelicans knew something and were trying to communicate something to us ...
you'd think pterodactyl has landed, so much screaming... lol....
and to those 2 suits - Just leave it alone! WHAT ARE YOU HERDING IT FOR?! The bird is just sitting there...
"What's up lads and lassies modest pelican here. Please let me crash this graduation ceremony to spread the good word about my channel"
Pelican: "No. You can move. I was here first."
0:00 pelican
0:23 pelican't
He slapped a pelican wth?!!
0:27 "UNHAND ME, SIR!"
I just imagined that pelican saying that while wearing a monocle. LMAO
Really makes you wonder how sick and entitled us humans have become, this bird probably rests here on the headland any other day in its own habitat, it's own home, but not allowed near the place when the humans arrive. They're so cute!
The bird must have been sick or weakened by hunger, otherwise it would not have landed this way. The ceremony should have gone on with dignity, the bird left alone, and wildlife protection called in. The hysteria is repulsive.
leave them birds alone
The poor bird was probably terrified.
"Sir I ask you to leave the premises now."
"Heck off!"
A modest pelican drive by
The pelican just wants his degree, he worked hard for it
We have pelicans in Washington State. The UW graduation ceremony is June 9. Pelicans, make your travel plans thusly.
I’ve gotten pretty close to pelicans surfing down in Florida and they are usually friendly or they will fly away if you move too fast. Maybe they were just frustrated with the amount of sound the people were making.
They will always remember that one. Our duller English one in Victoria old buildings are not quite the same.
they're so chill, I love it! I want one now
Maybe the Pelican thought he had earned a degree on Fishing!!
Jesse Johnson fishology degree.
This doesn't capture the fear of those suckers landing on you!!!!!! It was scary!!! 😂😂😂😂
Jabroney hahahaha dying... so true. What has happened?!
Dale Alberts hmmm... it seems you weren't there.
This pellican is ADORABLE!! let it stay lol
Time to have a real mascot! PEPPERDINE PELICANS

Sources report the Dean wanted a summary of the incident on his desk ASAP.
A ”Pelican Brief" if you will.
Security guards were ready for anything and everything in Malibu. Lol
Goddamn these look like miniature dinosaurs! Especially 0:25!
They kind've are
They are dinosaurs. They're under the classification avian dinosaurs. Look it up
You know birds are descendants of dinosaurs. Which is why they have similar features in their anatomy
They should be awarded honorary degrees.
Why do they look like pteranodons on Ark XD
This is hilarious. I wish something like that had happened at my graduation. Pepperdine ‘05!
ua-cam.com/video/jnRYrH8X008/v-deo.html
This bird got a security detail like the President lol
Birds are starting to hate humans, it will only get worse as we fuck with their ecosystem.
Probably they tried to defend their nest or something. From their viewpoint this action wasn't funny rather desperate.
Anthony Davis And Demarcus Cousins
I think that's something happens in Australia frequently
Is this the new trailer for Jurassic Park?
Clearly they're already did the after party thing. 🍻🐦💫
Nobody better call these pelicans "BIRD BRAIN".
They only want a photograph, is that to much to ask for. Damn humans.
For a minute I thought they where those mini flying dinosaurs from Jurassic World.
No one said Pelican't be here.
This is what happens when you left open the gate of Jurassic Park.

The pelican didn't deserve it XD 😁😂😂they escorted him out slowy
Aye this made it onto CNN! Congrats!
Something about this looks like CGI but I know it's not.
it's probably the frame rate
Yeah! I was thinking it too... Something weird but good is going on with how the quality and camera stuff is.
Camera work was on point
When someone spikes the punchbowl ocean!
Matt Drudge is da man.
Hi Grant, great video! I produce for Fox 11 in Los Angeles. Can we use this video on my newscast and for newscast promotions? And would you be interested in talking to one of our reporters? Thanks!
Why do I have the impression that they graduated there in their former life?
This was a sign.

What kind of stabilizer are you using??
Probably some kinda pelican flight stabiliser.... But pelicans don't read YT comments dude.
Ted, you got bit.
muuurrricaaaaa
How do you know pelicans are optimists?
---------
If they were pessimists we’d call them pelicants.

пеликаны за дипломами прилетели
I would be so scared... If that was my graduation, I'd hide under the chair. I love pelicans but I don't want one to land on me
They came from New Orleans
So did the pelicans graduate or not
WETA going all out with the fell beast CGI...
The way they treated that bird makes me sick. Stupid humans. I would of loved the company of a beautiful bird over those nasty humans.
I was there, OML XD
How dare they try and kick those pelicans out, that’s their environment! How very un progressive of them.
Jonathan Nethery they were attacking people 😂 a nice man actually took care of one as it fell on a ladies umbrella! They came back many times hehe
