    Drewski you can look for resources with the list command at a terminal list resources zone_[zone number], you can shorten the command to just list res e_[zone number]. This will list ammo, meds, and tool refill in whatever zone number you input. After you can ping to find exactly which box or locker it’s in.

    This is the game that trained my leadership skills. You had to consider your teammates' strength and accept their shortcomings, make critical decisions on distributing supplies and conserve them, how to approach enemies, and most of all PATIENCE. LOTS OF PATIENCE. Most people that I knew who quit this was due to burning out as they eventually got frustrated from multiple restarts. I learned to play this game without any expectations, adapt to the game's environment, and take advantage of everything that can give you an upper hand against the environment. Also learned how to point direction using the compass as everyone can get lost when someone says, "over here", "beside you", and "go there".

  • @Zach-cn4lb
    @Zach-cn4lb Рік тому +54

    2 pieces of advice. First, have someone on your team with a trip mine deployer. They are incredible valuable in some missions. You can wipe out an entire horde by c-foaming a door that they are behind so that they all pile up on it, place a single mine on the other side, and blow them all up at once when they break through, saving ammo and health that you’d lose fighting them. Your team loudout should change on each mission, but for this one, a mine deployer would have been incredible
    Edit: just got to the end of the vid and you did use this strategy there, but with a deployer you can use it many times throughout the mission instead of once with a pickup mine
    Second, never use auto turrets. I know I just said that loadouts will change depending on the mission, but there is never a time to use an auto turret. They just suck. Burst sentries are generally what you want to use, as they have good range, damage, horde clear, and, most importantly compared to the auto sentry, ammo conservation. There are specific times where sniper and/or shotgun sentries are invaluable, but auto turrets should be thrown in the trash and left there, always

      auto sentries are not quite trash as they excels in staggering, meaning that they would aid pretty well when you have to combat hordes that will be very close to you. obviously, this usage is quite niche and consumes both tool ammo and gun ammo, rendering it rather inefficient, but it would be quite effective and even reliable if you know the deal and plan out well. I have done this for a few mission or two, not being confident but I still think this is something worth investing under some cases.

    These are some of my favourite videos from Drewski; it seems like a super fun game.
    Here’s hoping for a GTFO console release (ik).

    A good amount of advice I can give probably amounts to experience more than anything, specifically stuff that surrounds stealth mechanics and optimal builds. A few tips I would give after watching this video is that the Bio Tracker gives a boost for the turret to lock onto enemies faster, HEL guns pierce through enemies, and melee is prefereble during error(small wave) alarms to concerve ammo. You had the right idea initially on the first wipe, with half the squad clearing sleeper rooms and the other half clearing error waves.

    Your team are very kind to let you film their sleep deprived rage quits (or whatever the sleep deprived version of that is) and ranting as you collectively deal with the nightmare difficulty increase in GTFO that is this mission.
    A prime example of Type 2 fun :-)
    And yes, it is very much like games I played when I was a lot younger. That’s to it’s credit, but it’s also one of it’s big flaws. Those games appeal to… well, the sort of people who made gamers gamers in the first place, who wrote those hard, repetitive bits of nonsense with simple gameplay loops that just got more difficult! Games morphed into something different as they became more popular - not worse, because I have huuuuge criticisms of those old games and GTFO, just as I do of what those games became, the modern slick AAA title where everything is carefully fed so as to appeal to the broadest category of players, incorporating as much as possible in it’s slick dopamine driven addiction loop.

    Damn you definitely took your time doing this game. Possible one of the best team based hour extraction games ever.
    Edit: A few things I have noticed that might help (Especially if any new players are interested).
    1. There is a distance to were the freaks won't aggro if you kill near them, after a few mess ups you will learn the distance and be able to speed solo clear to save time for you entire group. (it only takes a almost full charge to insta kill headshot the small ones, so you can get 2-3 for the time it'd take to full charge one small freakazoid.
    2. You only have to STOP moving when you hear the sloshing thrashing audio cue. Them lighting up mean its starting to aggro, if they make noise STOP IMMEDIATLY.
    3. Those tentacle freakazoids don't aggro aggro from noise, but if you make noise of flash them they will send out their tentacle things quicker.
    3. Auto turrets are not for damage. I noticed they had like 2 or 3 at one point. They do minor stagger but don't deal lethal damage (Burst turrets kill)
    4. Your gonna die a lot just relax and try to have fun.
    5. The big guys are easy if you are good at your timing. Full charge attacking their body parts will cause them to "pop" and stagger them, doing this around 6 times will kill them without aggro if you are not inside the immediate aggro zone of the little one, other big ones will most likely aggro. (Headshots don't insta kill these ones)
    6. When holding down the melee attack, it WILL automatically release the attack if your hold for too long. If you don't want to let that happen, right click (which is also a stun like move normally) to stop the attack.
    7. The scanner is the most useless equipment out of all equipment options UNLESS you are doing a mission with high fog and low visibility, always try and take. (I know it looks cool, but objectively it just makes the mission harder not having a extra turret, c-foam or mine deployer)

    • @H56Nooc
      @H56Nooc Рік тому

      I always just headshot scouts with the sniper from the otherside of a doorway. It'd weird how you can get away with not alerting half a room doing this. When I'm solo that is

    • @squirrelfart275
      @squirrelfart275 Рік тому +2

      Hard disagree with that biotracker take. You rarely need the extra c-foam/mine/turret, especially with how little tools get refilled per use (only 20%, as opposed to 33% and 15% for ammo). Biotracker is god-tier for low-visibility combat and stealth, error alarms with both forward and back constant spawns, and there are straight up enemies that will *require* you to have the Biotracker to be able to comfortably deal with. In a team with four tools, the extra power of another turret/mine/cfoam is rarely worth the refill usage compared to biotracker's utility. Knowledge is power and bio will make holding alarms and stealthing much much easier.

    • @Xycozis
      @Xycozis Рік тому

      @@H56Nooc dude yeah, I don't understand it personally. But I must agree and we usually take a sniper for the mission we know have scouts. Otherwise they die from one full charge spear headshot.

    • @Xycozis
      @Xycozis Рік тому

      @@squirrelfart275 man 100% the biotracker is essential SOMETIMES, other times just burst turret spam,
      my team has a pretty simple tactic.
      Lights on, light off, find them, kill them, we kill all but big ones (we kill all scouts that we have to) usually results in some restarts, but stealth and who gets the most kills is the way 🙏
