Aye good to get out and about. I use the GI Canteen system set up it never fails. AND I have one of those DDR. NVArmy back packs. Neat pack for short trips .👍
I see you brought out the good stuff. I still need to get a stand to complete my USGI canteen kit. Happy new year , John. Making memories with your son, nice! ✌🇺🇲
John, in your travels have you ever come across the issue cup for the cold weather canteen, made in the 1970’s, not to confuse it with the arctic canteen…
My newest sheath knife that I have had for a while is the BPS Knives Adventurer. It's been a good one for me so far. The knife and sheath are well made. Comes extra sharp and seems to hold an edge good. For pocket knives I carry a variety of different ones. Depends on my mood. I like old Boy Scout knives, Case, and the good Buck pocket knives. But the one I carry the most is an Opinel No 8. I dont know why, but I like it. The high carbon steel sharpens right back quickly and you can lock the blade open or closed.
I have several of those green insulated canteens . Love em
It's been a while since you posted here John. Great to hear your voice. Enjoy your day with your son and God bless.

Happy New Year John! Glad you're still here👍☺️
There's Johnny! Been awhile! I always wanted to boil water like that with mine. Haven't gotten around to it. Glad to see it works.

I'm not sure which one you are talking about. Can you post a link to a picture of one?
Glad to see you back John. Been thinking of replacing my knife with something new. What brands would you suggest?
