Every single fan fighting for their groups to get on killing voice, just for their faves voices to be extra processed, metallic and boomy. I would love to see more groups with live bands with less edited and natural vocals. It really brings brings a human performance instead of like a alien showcase.
@@E.Bashmaki still wouldn't believe that because many programs say this but process the vocals themselves. I believe TinyDesk though because you hear every bad note and good note equally.
@@E.Bashmak the only way you know if there was any editing is if the video says ‘Special’ in the title of the video. I noticed V and TXT had the word ‘Special’ on the video when you look up past groups. Otherwise, yes, it’s totally raw and unedited! Nmixx is amazing
Apparently the rules of Tiny Desk are: Sing your own songs, no in-ear monitors, use their mics with no post-editing, no MR or AR (obviously), and all in one take. You can still do a Tiny Desk performance if you don't follow one or more of the rules, but it will be titled as a "special" like V and TXT's performances. I imagine that this sounds exactly what it would sound like it they were in your living room. Playing toy instruments isn't a requirement, but a perk.
I understand all of the rules except for the in ears. Idk much about audio stuff for groups but why are in ears banned alongside the MR, processing, etc?
@@user-vn1hv5el8d I believe the whole idea of TDK is that they strip away all the technology that singers have grown to rely on, and to focus on the music. What you hear is what you hear if they were just singing in the room with you. In-ears usually have the tempo and music cues as well as their vocals. It's like a security blanket with immediate feedback of what they are doing.
As a longtime fan of the program that Tiny Desk Korea is an offshoot of (NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert), you’re 100% right about the format and it really allows artists’ talents to shine. Some of my all time favorite Tiny Desk Concerts are Chappell Roan, Hozier, Stromae, T-Pain, and BTS and all the performances (minus ones filmed during the pandemic) are just the artist(s) and some musicians/background vocalists performing behind a former staff member’s literal desk at the National Public Radio (NPR) headquarters. Tiny Desk Korea really does a good job of recreating the vibes of it, especially letting idols put on a completely different and more raw performance than their usual stages.
I love how Jiwoo looked at Lily in some parts, like saying "yeah, that's how good Lily is and I'm so proud of her" kinda face ❤ there is a reason for my love for NMIXX and it's they're all amazing singers, dancers, rappers ❤ I will always stan talent
YES! Let singers sing!! I love that in the last couple of years there have been more and more shows, platforms for idols to really sing live, - cause apparently music shows are not the place to do so - albeit sometimes with too much vocal processing, I just really appreciate the fact that idols/ groups that went in because they love to and want to sing get to do so.
I think the best part about nmixx's vocal performances is that this group has already proven they can sing live! I feel that they have more leverage to play around with their songs without the worry of having to showcase they can actually sing live. Lily could've easily done the higher note at 1:54 but opted it for a range that was enjoyable with the current melody going on. Really great to see!
It is my greatest wish in the world to watch you react to one of their live performances. It could be one of the university ones (heavenly) or it could be one that's slightly more processed like Hey Mama. Because NMIXX are great as vocalists, but I think their dance performance coupled with their vocals are kinda underrated. They're such a solid team, and constantly growing. I'm so proud of them. 🤧
I love them so much and I’m always so proud of their talent and confidence. So happy to see them being recognized for the world class performers they are. ❤
There were imperfections but that's understandable. Bae also mentioned this was the first time in a while to perform infront of the fans up close and that made her nervous which I can see in some parts. I need this version of LMLT tho. also I love how playful they got on See That with the instruments. Jiwoo is just so cute she's just happy to be hitting some instruments lmao. but above all else I love how they're all just vibing.
There are literally always imperfections when people sing. No matter who it is, there is always a missed note, iffy pitch, etc. We've become so conditioned to perfection that a lot of people forget that. Even at in person concerts, most mics have the ability to subtly pitch-correct live notes. No shot against you, it just always makes me kinda sad when I see that people have to point out when these things happen with raw lives.
the only K-pop grir group that I listen to on repeat on Spotify without being bored, the other groups without the visuals or their MV I get bored very quickly...
God I NEEEEED DREAMCATCHER ON THIS!! Imagine them singing fireflies with all the harmonies, or one of their R&B songs like Daybreak or wonderland and how incredible that would sound. Also them singing Alldaylong, the city pop sound with the live band would absolutely destroy me!!
Nmixx for me are the natural evolution of gidle. Killer live voices, can put on a show like no other, great chemistry onstage, and you can tell they love their job. 2-3 more years of experience and they will be total beasts. And probably the only other group who can put on the title of concept masters since gidle. If only JYP got them a consistent series of good songs... That 'Love me like this' version was awesome tho.

Agreed!!
If I'm not wrong Tiny Desk are not editing vocals at all, they even forbid to bring your own mic, only the flat ones they themselves provide.

NMIXX killed it.
Nmixx the only k-pop girl can do that live it's really amazing 😮
7:23 the first thought that came to mind was Superstition by Stevie Wonder
They are not just a group they are group that are all vocal and talented group and best female group
Baes Runs is sooo good❤
Tiny Desk is the least processed most raw vocal show. Only Nmixx and maybe a few other groups can go on there and look good.
